(There are eighteen acupoints in total on both sides.)
The *Jingmai Pian* (Chapter on Meridians) states: The Heart Master, which is the meridian of the Pericardium of Hand-Jueyin, originates in the chest, emerges to connect with the Pericardium, descends through the diaphragm, and successively connects with the Sanjiao (Triple Burner). Its branch follows the chest, emerges from the hypochondrium, and descends three cun below the axilla (Tianchi, PC1), ascends to reach the axilla, runs along the medial aspect of the arm (Tianquan, PC2), between the meridians of Hand-Taiyin and Hand-Shaoyin, enters the cubital fossa (Quze, PC3), descends along the forearm between two tendons (Ximen, PC4; Jianshi, PC5; Neiguan, PC6; Daling, PC7), enters the center of the palm (Laogong, PC8), and follows the middle finger to its tip (Zhongchong, PC9). Another branch separates from the palm, follows the ring finger to its tip.
It is also stated: The collateral named Neiguan of the Heart Master is located two cun above the wrist crease, emerging between two tendons, running along the meridian upward to connect with the Pericardium and link with the Heart system.
The *Jingbie Pian* (Chapter on Extraordinary Meridians) states: The regular pathway of the Heart Master separates at three cun below the axilla, enters the chest, separately belongs to the Sanjiao, emerges along the throat, exits behind the ear, and joins with Shaoyang below the Wanggu point (GB12).
The *Jingjin Pian* (Chapter on Sinew Meridians) states: The sinews of the Heart Master originate at the middle finger, run parallel with the sinews of Taiyin, knot at the medial side of the elbow, ascend along the medial aspect of the upper arm, knot at the axilla, and descend to scatter anteriorly and posteriorly, flanking the costal region. Its branch enters the axilla, scatters in the chest, and knots at the arm.
The *Xieke Pian* (Chapter on Pathogenic Factors) states: The meridian of the Heart Master emerges from the tip of the middle finger, bends inward to follow the medial aspect of the middle finger, remains in the palm, runs deep between two bones, bends outward to emerge between two tendons at the junction of flesh and bone. Its qi is smooth and rapid. It ascends two cun, bends outward to run between two tendons, ascends to the medial side of the elbow, enters beneath the small tendon, remains at the meeting of two bones, ascends into the chest, and internally connects with the heart vessels.
Tianchi (PC1): Meeting point of Hand-Jueyin and Foot-Shaoyin. ○ *Zhenjiu Jiaying* states: It is the meeting point of Hand-Foot Jueyin and Hand-Foot Shaoyin.
Tianquan (PC2)
Quze (PC3): Where the Qi of the Heart Master meridian enters (He-Sea point).
Ximen (PC4): Xi-Cleft point.
Jianshi (PC5): Where the Qi of the meridian flows (Jing-River point).
Neiguan (PC6): Luo-Connecting point, diverges to join Shaoyang. ○ *Qianjin Yaofang* writes "Taiyang".
Daling (PC7): Where the Qi of the meridian pours (Shu-Stream point).
Laogong (PC8): Where the Qi of the meridian slides (Ying-Spring point).
Zhongchong (PC9): Where the Qi of the meridian emerges (Jing-Well point).
According to *Waitai Miyao*, there are sixteen acupoints on each side, excluding Tianchi. (Considered as belonging to the Gallbladder meridian?)
