Ephedrae Herba (Mahuang), Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma (Renshen), Scutellariae Radix (Huangqin), Chuanxiong Rhizoma (Chuanxiong), Paeoniae Radix Alba (Shaoyao), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao, roasted), Saposhnikoviae Radix (Fangfeng), Armeniacae Semen Amarum (Xingren, skin and tip removed, stir-fried), Cinnamomi Ramulus (Guiguan, bark removed), Stephaniae Tetrandrae Radix (Fangji), Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata (Fuzi, processed until cracked, skin and umbilicus removed. All in equal proportions).
Crush the above herbs into small pieces. Take 2 qian per dose, add 1 zhong of water and 3 slices of Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens (Shengjiang), decoct until reduced to 5 fen, take at any time.
Zhuifeng San (Wind-Chasing Powder): Treats infantile cold with fever, and spasm and contracture of the hands and feet.
Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma (Renshen), Poria (Fuling), Saposhnikoviae Radix (Fangfeng), Chuanxiong Rhizoma (Chuanxiong), Bupleuri Radix (Chaihu), Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix (Qianghuo), Aurantii Fructus Immaturus (Zhike), Platycodonis Radix (Jiegeng), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao. All in equal proportions).

Zhang Huan stated: The Liver Qi received by infants is weak, leading to contraction of the sinews and vessels, and weakness in extending both hands. Yi Yi Dan (Coix Pill) is the primary treatment.
Yi Yi Dan (Coix Pill): Treats inability to open the clenched fists.
Coicis Semen (Yiyiren, soaked in boiling water, skin removed, ground finely), Angelicae Sinensis Radix (Danggui, washed, dried), Gentianae Macrophyllae Radix (Qinjiao, roots removed), Saposhnikoviae Radix (Fangfeng), Ziziphi Spinosae Semen (Suanzaoren, stir-fried), Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix (Qianghuo. All in equal proportions).
Grind the above into a fine powder, mix with refined honey to form pills the size of Euryale Seed (Qianshi). Take 1 to 2 pills per dose, dissolve in a decoction of Moschus (Shexiang) and Schizonepetae Herba (Jingjie), take at any time.
The *Quan Sheng Mi Dian* (Holy Essential Formulas) records: While in the womb, if the mother's Zang-Fu organs are deficient, she is susceptible to Wind-Cold pathogenic factors. After birth, the infant's Liver Qi is insufficient, causing contraction of the sinews and vessels and inability to extend them, resulting in clenched fists that cannot be opened.
Yiyiren San (Coix Powder) (Based on the previous formula, modified slightly; listed first due to its mild nature).
Coicis Semen (Yiyiren, 7 qian 5 fen), Gentianae Macrophyllae Radix (Qinjiao), Saposhnikoviae Radix (Fangfeng), Ziziphi Spinosae Semen (Suanzaoren, lightly stir-fried), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao, lightly roasted until reddish-brown. Each 0.5 liang), Angelicae Sinensis Radix (Danggui, dried), Cinnamomi Cortex (Guixin, each 2 qian 5 fen).
Process into a powder. Take 1 qian per dose, add 1 xiaozhan of water, decoct until reduced to 5 fen, take at any time, adjusting dosage according to the infant's condition.
Lingyangjiao San (Antelope Horn Powder): Treats inability to extend the infant's hands, caused by Wind-Evil and stagnant Qi obstructing the circulation of Ying and Wei.
Saiga Tataricae Cornu (Lingyangjiao), Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix (Qianghuo), Acanthopanacis Cortex (Wujiapi), Phellodendri Cortex (Baixianpi), Cinnamomi Cortex (Guixin. Each 2 qian 5 fen), Ephedrae Herba (Mahuang, 0.5 liang, root nodes removed), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao, roasted until slightly increased, 1 qian 2 fen 5).
Process into a powder. Take 1 qian per dose, add 1 xiaozhong of water, decoct until reduced to 5 fen, adjust dosage according to the infant's condition, take at any time, warm.
