In cases where the cranial bone is fractured and broken, gently press it flat and aligned with light hands. If the skin is intact, apply *Tuizhong Gao* (Swelling-Reducing Ointment). If the skin is broken and flesh damaged, first apply *Fengkou Yao* (Wound-Sealing Medicine) to the wound, and externally apply *Sanxue Gao* (Blood-Dispersing Ointment). If the skin is broken and bleeding occurs, use *Zhixue San* (Hemostatic Powder). If there is swelling and pain, crush fresh leaves of *Puerariae Lobatae Radix* (Ge Ye, Kudzu leaf), *Mao Teng Ye* (Mao Teng leaf), and *Aceris Triflori Folium* (Feng Ye Wei, Maple leaf tip), and apply them as a compress. Avoid exposure to wind and water to prevent the onset of tetanus (Po Shang Feng). For crushed cranial bones, treatment is possible if the injury is on hard surfaces; however, injuries to the Taiyang acupoint (Taiyang Xue, Temple area) are incurable. If the injury is at the hairline, shave off the hair to inspect whether the skin is broken, and apply medication according to the aforementioned methods. If washing is necessary, use warm oil mixed with medicinal water, or wash with warm tea.
For facial and ocular injuries presenting with cyanosis and black discoloration, apply *Yi Zi San* (One Purple Powder) or paste *Zijin Gao* (Purple Gold Ointment). For severe injuries, apply *Burou Gao* (Flesh-Replenishing Ointment). Injuries to the two temporal angles of the head, the occiput, or between the eyebrows are treatable. Eye injuries are treatable if the pupil (Tong Shen) remains intact. Eyelid injuries presenting with purple-black discoloration should be treated with *Yi Zi San* or *Zijin Gao*; for severe cases, apply *Burou Gao*. Injuries to the fontanelle (Ding Xin) at the top of the head are difficult to treat.
Nasal injuries involving both nostrils: depression is treatable, and bleeding is not detrimental. If the nasal bridge is depressed due to blunt trauma, apply *Burou Gao*. If the nostrils are lacerated open by blunt trauma or knife/axe wounds, treat the wound with *Fengkou Yao* and externally apply *Sanxue Gao* to reduce swelling. For ears severed or knocked off by blunt force, or detached but adherent (upper detached/lower adherent, or lower detached/upper adherent), internally treat with *Fengkou Yao* and externally apply *Sanxue Gao* to the ear and behind the ear. Based on the direction of detachment, clamp horizontally with a goose quill tube, then secure vertically with a bamboo clip. Ensure the ears face each other during binding, securing them lightly.
For lip and oral injuries caused by knives, axes, bumps, or falls resulting in skin breakage and flesh damage, suture first using mulberry bark fiber thread (*Sangbaipi Xian*), then apply *Fengkou Yao*, followed by external application of *Sanxue Gao*. Tension-fix the sealed medicine to prevent opening or falling off, and advise the patient to speak little. For fractured lips, nose, or ears resulting in tissue loss, immediately apply *Fengkou Yao* and externally cover with *Sanxue Gao*. For missing lips or ears, first apply anesthetic, trim excess skin with scissors, and suture with silk thread. Suture missing ears in two segments and missing lips in three segments. Apply chicken egg yolk oil, sprinkle finely powdered *Cibotii Rhizoma* (Jinmao Gouji, Golden-haired Dog Spine) thinly over the area, then apply *Fengkou Yao*. The next day, gently wash with tea powder, change dressing once daily. On the eighth day, remove sutures and apply tea powder again.
For cheek, malar, and zygomatic injuries from knives, axes, bumps, or falls causing skin and flesh breakage, fill the wound with *Fengkou Yao* and externally apply *Sanxue Gao*. For blunt trauma without skin/flesh breakage, apply *Bunei Gao* (Internal-Replenishing Ointment). For upper lip avulsion from knife/axe cuts, bind a small strip of silk cloth from the back of the head forward to close the seam, apply *Fengkou Yao*, and externally cover with *Sanxue Gao*. For lower lip repair, bind a silk cloth upward from the chin, arrange as before, apply powder medication, or omit medication if no swelling exists.
If a child accidentally cuts their tongue with a toy knife without complete severance, apply *Fengkou Yao*, changing the dressing two to three times daily; full recovery occurs in seven to eight days. For bilateral submandibular salivary glands lacerated by knives, axes, or falls, suture with silk thread, apply *Fengkou Yao*, and externally cover with *Sanxue Gao*. After seven to eight days when tissue reconnects, remove sutures and apply *Fengkou Yao*.
For teeth knocked out by blunt trauma or cutting, sprinkle *Bujī San* (Muscle-Replenishing Powder) and *Fengkou Yao* into the socket. Administer blood-invigorating and pain-relieving medicines decocted in water; avoid alcohol decoctions. Note that this method is highly effective. For gingival injuries from blunt force or cutting where teeth remain fixed, rub with powdered *Hibisci Mutabilis Flos* (Furong Gao). If teeth are loose, burn *Tribuli Fructus* root (Jili Gen) until charred but retaining efficacy, grind to powder, and frequently rub onto the area to stabilize the teeth.
For throat transection, position the patient supine with the head lower than the feet. First suture the internal trachea with silk thread, then suture the external neck skin. Apply *Fengkou Yao* and externally cover with *Sanxue Gao*, changing dressings as needed. If the throat is displaced by blunt force, manually realign it and apply the aforementioned ointment. For severe injuries to the laryngeal prominence (Jie Hou): if the soft throat is severed, it is incurable. However, if liquid can be swallowed and reaches the intestines, it is treatable. If liquids are vomited out immediately, it is incurable.
