上为细末，同前药研匀，每用少许点眼。
照水丸 治目生翳障。
龙脑 滑石 丹砂（通明者） 乌贼鱼骨（去甲）
上各一钱研细，再同研匀。先用黄蜡皂子大，于新白瓷盏内慢火熔，以纱帛子滤在
净盏内，再熔了，将前药末同拌和，捏作饼子，如半破豌豆大，用薄绢或纱袋子盛了，以
砂半两放净碗内，上交横安竹片，放药在上面铺着，借 砂气熏，用大盘子一片合碗
上，勿令透气，撅一地坑，放药碗在坑内，用竹 一片盖了，然后以黄土盖之，七日出，净
瓷瓶中收，其 砂不用。如患浮翳膜侵瞳人，及一切目疾，但临卧将一饼札在眼 头即睡，
至晓用水一碗，向东觑水碗，其药自落在水中，净浴却，用绢帛子裹起，安洁净处，临
卧根据前再使。每饼可用半月，候药力慢时，方易一饼，如两目有疾，即用两饼。
通光散 治攀睛，翳膜昏涩，风毒肿痛，洗眼方。
上用栝蒌一枚，割下顶盖，取瓤并子，同猪 子捣匀，却装在栝蒌内，用元盖盖之，坐
净土上，取桑条子十两，约长四五寸，簇栝蒌上，用炭火烧，扇之，烟尽将成灰即住火，
扇冷，和灰通研极细，每用二钱，沸汤浸，澄清去脚洗之。
指甲散 治眼翳及诸物入眼。
上以左手中指甲洗净候干，以刀刮其屑，用灯草蘸点眼中翳处，一二次即去。或用怀
孕妇人爪甲屑，置目中去翳。
珊瑚散 治眼赤痛，生翳障，远视不明，痒涩。
珊瑚（七钱半） 朱砂（五钱） 龙脑（半钱）
上各研细令匀，每以铜箸取一米许，日三四度点之，神效。
青金丸 治风毒攻眼，成外障翳膜。
铜青（真者） 蕤仁（去皮尖，与铜青同浸二宿，去水研） 石决明（净水磨，沥干） 生犀角（净水磨，
纸上飞过，各一钱） 龙脑（研） 白丁香（水研飞，去滓） 海螵蛸（水飞过。各半钱）
上将铜青与蕤仁先研如糊，次入白丁香研，次入四味研极细，用好墨研浓汁，于净
器中和熟为丸，如绿豆大。每用人乳汁化开点眼，未用者，常以龙脑养于瓷器中。
猪胆方
上以猪胆一枚，用银铫或瓦铫煎成膏，入
水脑如黍米大，点入眼中。微觉翳轻，又将猪胆白膜皮阴干，合作小绳如钗股大小，止
用一头烧灰，待冷点翳，数日后翳退，双目如旧。此治翳，如重者尤良，不过三五度瘥。
疗翳五十年不瘥
贝齿（一枚，烧） 豆豉（三十粒） 三年苦酒（三升，一作三年醋）
上先渍贝齿三宿，消尽后纳豆豉，微火煎如胶，取三合药置筒中，夜卧时着如小麦
大于 头，明日以汤洗之。
治赤眼后生翳膜
上以兰香子洗净晒干，每用一粒，以箸头点大 头，闭目，即觉药在目内团圆旋转，
药力过即不转，须臾自随眵泪出，惹翳膜在上，如鱼眼，再入一粒，以病退为度。一方，
为细末，每取如米大点眼 头。
昔卢州知录彭大辩父，在临安暴得此疾，一僧以此药治之，坐间了然，因得此方，屡以治人。
枸杞煎 治眼中翳少轻者，兼治眼涩痛。
上取枸杞及车前子叶等分，手中熟 ，使汁欲出，又别取桑叶两三重裹之，悬于阴地
经宿，乃摘破桑叶，取汁点目中，不过三五度瘥。
雀乳散 治眼热毒，卒生翳及赤白膜。
上以雄雀粪细研，用人乳汁和点之。
真珠膏 治眼虚热，目赤痛，卒生翳膜昏暗。
真珠（一两，研） 麝香 朱砂 胡粉（各二钱半） 贝齿（五枚，烧灰） 鲤鱼胆（二枚） 白蜜（四两，煎滤过）
上除鱼胆、蜜外，都研如粉，以鱼胆汁、蜜于铜器中调令匀，慢火煎成膏。每以铜箸
取少许点之，日三四。
鸡子壳散 治眼卒生翳膜。
鸡子壳（抱出子者，去膜，取白壳研，二钱半） 贝齿（三枚， 灰）
上研极细，入瓷盒中盛，取少许，日三五度点之。
羌活退翳膏（一名复明膏） 治足太阴寒水膜子遮左右睛，白翳在上，视物不明。
羌活根（七分） 椒树（西北根二分，东南根二分） 当归梢（六分） 黄连（二钱） 防风根 柴胡根
麻黄（去节根） 升麻根 生地黄（各三分） 甘草梢（四分） 蕤仁（六个） 汉防己 本（各二分）
上用净新汲水一大碗，先将汉防己、黄连、甘草梢、生地黄煎至一半，下余药外药，
再煎至一盏，去滓，入银石器中再煎如膏，点之有效为度。
蝎附散 搐鼻退翳膜。
全蝎 附子尖 姜黄 青黛（各二钱半） 薄荷（一两） 鹅不食草（半两）
上为细末，口含水，搐少许。
玉饼子 治翳膜。
海螵蛸 蛤粉（南康真者，各五分） 片脑（半分） 黄蜡（五分）
上为末，先熔蜡，持起搅微冷，入末为丸，如青葙子大，带扁些。每用一饼，临卧
纳入眼中翳膜上，经宿以水照之，其饼自出。
照水丸 治翳神验。
海螵蛸（一钱） 朱砂（五分） 片脑（半分） 黄蜡（八分）
上末，先熔蜡，搅微冷，入末和为丸，如麻子大，带匾些。临卧纳眼中翳膜上，次日照水自落。
香（单独研磨） 乳香（单独研磨） 铅白霜（单独研磨） 青盐 胆矾（单独研磨。各取一字重）
以上药物研成细末，与前药一起研磨均匀，每次取少量点入眼中。
照水丸 治疗眼睛生翳障。
龙脑 滑石 丹砂（质地通明的） 乌贼鱼骨（去除硬壳）
以上药物各取一钱，研成细末，再共同研磨均匀。先用一块黄蜡如皂子大小，在新白瓷盏内用慢火熔化，用纱帛过滤到干净的盏内，再次熔化后，将前面的药末混合拌匀，捏成饼状，大小如半破的豌豆，用薄绢或纱袋装好。取半两砂放在干净的碗内，在碗口上方横放竹片，将药饼铺在上面，借助砂的热气熏蒸。用一个大盘子盖住碗口，不要漏气。在地上挖一个坑，将药碗放入坑内，用竹片盖好，然后用黄土覆盖。七天后取出，收在干净的瓷瓶中，其中的砂不再使用。如果患有浮翳膜侵入瞳仁，以及一切眼疾，只需在临睡前将一个药饼扎在眼角头即睡，到天亮时，取一碗水，面向东方看水碗，药饼会自动落入水中，用清水洗净擦干，用绢帛包起，安放在洁净处，临睡前按前述方法再次使用。每块药饼可用半个月，等到药效变慢时，才更换一块药饼。如果双眼有病，就使用两块药饼。
通光散 治疗攀睛、翳膜昏涩、风毒肿痛，为洗眼方。
以上取栝蒌一枚，割下顶部盖子，取出瓤和种子，与猪精液捣匀，再装回栝蒌内，盖上原来的盖子，放置在净土上。取桑条十两，长约四五寸，簇拥在栝蒌周围，用炭火烧，扇风助燃，烟尽变成灰时停止烧火，扇冷后，连同灰烬一起研磨极细。每次取二钱，用沸水浸泡，澄清后去掉沉淀物，用来清洗眼睛。
指甲散 治疗眼翳及异物入眼。
以上取左手的中指甲，洗净晾干，用刀刮下碎屑，用灯草蘸取点涂在眼中的翳处，一两次后即可去除。或者用怀孕妇女的爪甲屑，置于眼中以去除翳膜。
珊瑚散 治疗眼赤痛、生翳障、远视不明、痒涩。
珊瑚（七钱半） 朱砂（五钱） 龙脑（半钱）
以上药物分别研细混合均匀，每次用铜筷取约一米长（注：原文“米许”疑为误植或特定量词，此处直译），每日三四次点眼，效果神奇。
青金丸 治疗风毒攻眼，形成外障翳膜。
铜青（真品） 蕤仁（去皮尖，与铜青同浸两夜，去水后研磨） 石决明（净水磨，沥干） 生犀角（净水磨，纸上飞过，各一钱） 龙脑（研磨） 白丁香（水研飞，去渣） 海螵蛸（水飞过。各半钱）
先将铜青与蕤仁研磨如糊状，其次加入白丁香研磨，再次加入其余四味研磨极细，用好墨汁研磨浓汁，在干净容器中调和制成丸药，大小如绿豆。每次用人乳汁化开点眼，未用的药丸，常以龙脑养护在瓷器中。
猪胆方
以上取猪胆一枚，用银铫或瓦铫煎成膏，加入冰脑如黍米大小，点入眼中。微觉翳膜减轻，再将猪胆白膜皮阴干，合做小绳如钗股大小，只用一头烧成灰，待冷却后点涂翳膜，数日后翳膜消退，双目恢复如初。此法治疗翳膜，重症尤其有效，不过三五次即可痊愈。
治疗五十年不愈的翳膜
贝齿（一枚，烧制） 豆豉（三十粒） 三年苦酒（三升，一作三年醋）
以上先浸泡贝齿三宿，消尽后纳入豆豉，用微火煎至如胶状，取三合药液装入筒中，夜间睡觉时将其置于如小麦大于鼻孔处，次日早晨用汤水洗之。
治疗赤眼后生翳膜
以上取兰香子洗净晒干，每次取一粒，用筷子头点在大眼角头，闭目，即感觉药在眼内团圆旋转，药力过后就不再转动，须臾间随眵泪排出，牵拉翳膜在上，如鱼眼状，再入一粒，以病退为度。另一方法，研成细末，每次取如米粒大小点眼眼角。
从前卢州知录彭大辩的父亲，在临安突然得此病，一位僧人用此药治疗，坐间清晰明了，因此得到此方，多次用于治疗他人。
枸杞煎 治疗眼中翳少轻者，兼治眼涩痛。
以上取枸杞及车前子叶等分，用手揉搓熟透，使汁液欲出，又另取桑叶两三重裹之，悬挂在阴凉处过夜，然后摘破桑叶，取汁点入眼中，不过三五次即可痊愈。
雀乳散 治疗眼热毒，突然生翳及赤白膜。
以上取雄雀粪细研，用人乳汁调和点涂。
真珠膏 治疗眼虚热，目赤痛，突然生翳膜昏暗。
真珠（一两，研磨） 麝香 朱砂 胡粉（各二钱半） 贝齿（五枚，烧灰） 鲤鱼胆（二枚） 白蜜（四两，煎滤过）
以上除鱼胆、蜜外，都研磨如粉，用鱼胆汁、蜜在铜器中调匀，用慢火煎成膏。每次用铜筷取少许点眼，每日三四次。
鸡子壳散 治疗眼突然生翳膜。
鸡子壳（抱出小鸡者，去膜，取白壳研磨，二钱半） 贝齿（三枚，烧灰）
以上研磨极细，放入瓷盒中盛放，取少许，每日三四五次点眼。
羌活退翳膏（一名复明膏） 治疗足太阴寒水膜子遮左右睛，白翳在上，视物不明。

蝎附散 搐鼻退翳膜。
全蝎 附子尖 姜黄 青黛（各二钱半） 薄荷（一两） 鹅不食草（半两）
以上研成细末，口含水，搐吸少许。
玉饼子 治疗翳膜。
海螵蛸 蛤粉（南康真者，各五分） 片脑（半分） 黄蜡（五分）
以上研成末，先熔化蜡，提起搅动微冷，加入药末制成丸药，如青葙子大，带扁些。每次用一饼，临睡前纳入眼中翳膜上，经过一夜用水对照，其饼自动退出。

海螵蛸（一钱） 朱砂（五分） 片脑（半分） 黄蜡（八分）
以上研成末，先熔化蜡，搅动微冷，加入药末和为丸，如麻子大，带扁些。临睡前纳于眼中翳膜上，次日照水自动落下。
Xiang (Styrax, separately ground) Ruxiang (Frankincense, separately ground) Qianbaishuang (Lead White Frost, separately ground) Qingyan (Green Salt) Danfan (Chalcanthite, separately ground. Each weighs one zi).
Grind the above into fine powder, mix evenly with previous medicines, and apply a small amount to the eyes each time.
Zhaoshui Wan (Water-Gazing Pill) Treats corneal opacity and visual obstruction.
Longnao (Borneol) Huashi (Talcum) Dansha (Cinnabar, transparent quality) Wouyu Gu (Cuttlebone, remove hard shell).
Each ingredient weighs one qian, grind into fine powder, then mix evenly. First, melt a piece of yellow beeswax the size of a soap nut in a new white porcelain cup over low heat, filter through gauze into a clean cup, remelt, then mix with the aforementioned powder, knead into pill shapes the size of half-crushed mung beans, store in thin silk or gauze bags. Place half a liang of sand in a clean bowl, place a bamboo strip horizontally across the top, lay the pills on it, and fumigate using the heat from the sand. Cover the bowl with a large plate to prevent air leakage. Dig a pit in the ground, place the medicine bowl inside, cover with bamboo, and seal with yellow earth. After seven days, retrieve and store in a clean porcelain jar; discard the sand. For floating membranes invading the pupil and all eye diseases, tie one pill at the corner of the eye before sleep. At dawn, face east towards a bowl of water; the pill will naturally fall into the water. Wash clean, dry, wrap in silk, and store cleanly. Use again before sleep as before. One pill lasts half a month; replace when efficacy wanes. If both eyes are affected, use two pills.
Tongguang San (Light-Penetrating Powder) Treats pterygium, hazy and dry membranes, wind-toxin swelling and pain; a formula for washing the eyes.
Take one Trichosanthes fruit, cut off the top lid, extract pulp and seeds, mash evenly with pig semen, return to the fruit, cover with the original lid, and place on pure soil. Bundle ten liang of mulberry branches (approx. 4-5 cun long) around the fruit, burn with charcoal while fanning until smoke ceases and it turns to ash. Stop fire, fan to cool, and grind the ash extremely fine. Take two qian each time, soak in boiling water, clarify, remove sediment, and use to wash the eyes.
Zhijia San (Nail Powder) Treats corneal opacity and foreign bodies in the eye.
Wash and dry the middle fingernail of the left hand, scrape off flakes with a knife, dip rush grass into the flakes, and apply to the opacity in the eye. Remove after one or two applications. Alternatively, use nail clippings from a pregnant woman, place in the eye to remove opacity.
Shanhu San (Coral Powder) Treats redness and pain of the eye, corneal opacity, blurred distance vision, itching and dryness.
Shanhu (Coral, 7.5 qian) Zhusha (Cinnabar, 5 qian) Longnao (Borneol, 0.5 qian).
Grind each finely and mix evenly. Take approximately one rice-grain length with chopsticks daily three to four times to apply to the eyes. Highly effective.
Qingjin Wan (Blue-Gold Pill) Treats wind-toxin attacking the eyes, forming external opacity membranes.
Tongqing (Verdigris, authentic) Ruiren (Buckthorn Seed, remove skin and tips, soak with verdigris for two nights, drain water and grind) Shijueming (Abalone Shell, grind with clean water, drain) Sheng Xijiao (Fresh Rhinoceros Horn, grind with clean water, sift on paper, each 1 qian) Longnao (Borneol, ground) Baixiangding (White Stool of Sparrow, grind with water, sift, remove dregs) Haipiaoxiao (Cuttlebone, sift with water. Each 0.5 qian).
First grind Tongqing and Ruiren into a paste, then add Baixiangding and grind, then add the remaining four ingredients and grind extremely fine. Mix with strong ink decoction in a clean vessel to form pills the size of mung beans. Dissolve in human milk to apply to the eyes. Store unused pills in porcelain vessels with Borneol.
Zhudan Fang (Pig Gallbladder Formula)
Take one pig gallbladder, decoct in a silver or clay pot until it becomes a paste. Add Bingnao (Ice Brain/Borneol) the size of a millet seed, and apply to the eyes. When opacity lightens slightly, take the white membrane skin of the pig gallbladder, dry in shade, roll into a small rope like a hairpin shaft. Burn only one end to ash, let cool, and apply to opacity. Opacity recedes after several days, restoring vision. This is particularly effective for severe cases; usually heals within three to five applications.
Treatment for Opacity Unhealed for Fifty Years
Beichi (Conch Tooth, one piece, calcined) Douchi (Fermented Soybean, thirty grains) Sannian Kujiu (Three-year sour wine, three sheng, alternatively three-year vinegar).
Soak Beichi for three nights until dissolved, add Douchi, decoct over low heat until gelatinous. Take three he of medicinal liquid, place in a tube, insert into the nostril at night before sleep (size larger than wheat), wash with warm water the next morning.
Treatment for Opacity Formed After Red Eye
Wash and dry Lánxiāngzi (Perilla Seed). Take one grain, apply to the outer canthus with a chopstick tip. Close eyes; feel the medicine rotating roundly inside. When efficacy passes, rotation stops, and it exits with discharge and tears, pulling the opacity up like a fish eye. Insert another grain if necessary, until disease resolves. Another method: grind into fine powder, take rice-grain size to apply to the canthus.
Previously, Peng Dabian, father of the Registrar of Luzhou, suddenly contracted this disease in Lin'an. A monk treated him with this medicine, resulting in clear recovery. Thus, this formula was obtained and used frequently to treat others.
Gouqi Jian (Goji Decoction) Treats mild cases of eye opacity, also treats eye dryness and pain.
Take equal parts Goji berries and Plantago leaf, rub thoroughly in hands until juice exudes. Wrap Mulberry leaves two or three layers thick, hang in a shady place overnight. Break leaves, extract juice, and apply to eyes. Usually heals within three to five applications.
Que Ru San (Sparrow Milk Powder) Treats eye heat-toxin, sudden onset of opacity and red-white membranes.
Grind male sparrow feces finely, mix with human milk, and apply.
Zhenzhu Gao (Pearl Ointment) Treats eye deficiency-heat, redness and pain, sudden opacity and dimness.
Zhenzhu (Pearl, one liang, ground) Shexiang (Musk) Zhusha (Cinnabar) Hufen (Lead Carbonate, each 2.5 qian) Beichi (Conch Tooth, five pieces, calcined) Liyu Dan (Carp Gallbladder, two pieces) Baimi (White Honey, four liang, boiled and filtered).
Grind all except carp gallbladder and honey into powder. Mix with carp gallbladder juice and honey in a copper vessel, decoct over low heat into ointment. Apply a small amount with chopsticks daily three to four times.
Jiziqiao San (Chicken Eggshell Powder) Treats sudden onset of eye opacity.
Jiziqiao (Chicken Eggshell, from hatched eggs, remove membrane, use white shell, grind, 2.5 qian) Beichi (Conch Tooth, three pieces, calcined).
Grind extremely fine, store in porcelain box. Take a small amount, apply three to five times daily.
Qianghuo Tuiyi Gao (Notopterygium Opacity-Removing Ointment, also known as Fuming Gao) Treats Taiyin cold-water membrane covering eyes bilaterally, white opacity above, causing blurred vision.
Qianghuo Gen (Notopterygium Root, 7 fen) Jiaoshu (Pepper Tree, northwest root 2 fen, southeast root 2 fen) Danggui Shao (Angelica Sinensis Tip, 6 fen) Huanglian (Coptis, 2 qian) Fangfeng Gen (Saposhnikovia Root) Chaihu Gen (Bupleurum Root) Mahuang (Ephedra, remove nodes and roots) Shengma Gen (Cimicifuga Root) Sheng Dihuang (Rehmannia Root, each 3 fen) Gancao Shao (Licorice Tip, 4 fen) Ruiren (Buckthorn Seed, six pieces) Hanfangji (Stephania Tetrandra) Ben (Ligusticum, each 2 fen).
Take one large bowl of fresh spring water. Decoct Hanfangji, Huanglian, Gancao Shao, and Sheng Dihuang until half remains. Add remaining herbs, decoct until one zhan remains. Strain, return to silver/ceramic vessel, decoct into ointment. Apply to eyes until effective.
Xie Fu San (Scorpion and Aconite Powder) Nasal insufflation to remove opacity membranes.
Quanxie (Whole Scorpion) Fuzi Jian (Aconite Tip) Jianghuang (Turmeric) Qingdai (Indigo Naturalis, each 2.5 qian) Bohe (Mint, one liang) E Bushi Cao (Petasites, half liang).
Grind into fine powder. Hold water in mouth, insufflate a small amount into nose.
Yu Bingzi (Jade Cake) Treats opacity membranes.
Haipiaoxiao (Cuttlebone) Gafen (Clam Powder, authentic from Nankang, each 5 fen) Piannao (Borneol, 0.5 fen) Huangla (Yellow Beeswax, 5 fen).
Grind into powder. Melt wax first, stir until slightly cool, add powder to form pills the size of Celosia seeds, slightly flattened. Apply one cake before sleep onto the opacity in the eye. Overnight, gaze at water; the cake will naturally exit.
Zhaoshui Wan (Water-Gazing Pill) Highly effective for opacity.
Haipiaoxiao (Cuttlebone, 1 qian) Zhusha (Cinnabar, 5 fen) Piannao (Borneol, 0.5 fen) Huangla (Yellow Beeswax, 8 fen).
Grind into powder. Melt wax, stir until slightly cool, mix with powder to form pills the size of sesame seeds, slightly flattened. Apply before sleep onto opacity in the eye. Next day, gaze at water; it falls out naturally.
