(Regardless of whether it is the left or right hand, when the pulse beats from the Cun position towards the left and right sides, this is the Yang Qiao Mai (Yang Heel Vessel).)
The Yang Qi on both sides of the body is primarily monitored by the Yang Qiao Mai (Yang Heel Vessel) (The Yang Qiao Mai governs the Yang Qi on both sides of the whole body,),
When the pulse indicates an excess of the Yang Qiao Mai, the Six Fu Organs are harmonious; if there is a Exterior Syndrome while the Interior is peaceful, it indicates a deviation in the distribution of Yang Qi (The Yang Qiao Mai is located above the muscles, serving as the pathway for Yang Meridians, connecting through the Six Fu Organs and governing the exterior manifestations. Therefore, its pathology typically presents as an Exterior Syndrome with a peaceful Interior,),
The treatment methods involving sweating or purging are correct (Jiegu said: Yang diseases manifest as aversion to cold. If the disease is in the Yang Exterior, sweating should be induced using Guizhi Tang (Cinnamon Twig Decoction) or Mahuang Tang (Ephedra Decoction). If the disease is in the Yin Interior, purging should be performed using Dachengqi Tang (Major Order the Qi Decoction) or Xiaochengqi Tang (Minor Order the Qi Decoctor).)
(Regardless of whether it is the left or right hand, when the pulse beats from the Chi position towards the left and right sides, this is the Yin Qiao Mai (Yin Heel Vessel).)
Various pathogens holding each other within involve the Five Zang Organs (The Yin Qiao Mai is located below the muscles, serving as the pathway for Yin Meridians, connecting through the Five Zang Organs and governing the interior manifestations. Therefore, its pathology typically presents as an Interior Syndrome with a peaceful Exterior,)
The pulse qi moves along the left and right sides under the dominance of the Yin Qiao Mai (The Yin Qiao Mai governs the Yin Qi on both sides of the whole body,)
Upon onset, the Yang becomes slack while the Yin becomes tense (In Yang Qiao Mai disease, the Yin side is slack and the Yang side is tense; in Yin Qiao Mai disease, the Yin side is slack and the Yin side is tense,)
Diagnosis and examination require regulation from the perspective of Yin Heat (Jiegu said: Yin diseases manifest as fever, treat with Gancao Ganjiang Tang (Licorice and Dried Ginger Decoction).)
(Regardless of whether it is the left or right hand, when the pulse at the center of all three positions (Cun, Guan, Chi) is floating, moving straight up and straight down, this is the Du Mai (Governing Vessel).)
The Du Mai (Governing Vessel), which commands the Yang Meridians, is called the "Sea" (The Du Mai originates from the Bao Zhong (Uterus/Energy Center), travels along the back on the posterior aspect of the body, and serves as the commander of all Yang Meridians, thus being known as the Sea of Yang Meridians,)
Spinal stiffness and heavy head can be differentiated by deficiency and excess (Diseases of the Du Mai: Excess manifests as spinal stiffness and syncope; Deficiency manifests as a heavy head,)
Qi rushing upward causes painful groaning (Du Mai diseases often involve Qi rushing from below upwards causing pain.)
(Regardless of whether it is the left or right hand, when the pulse rolls like pearls and lies horizontally across the Cun Kou (Radial Artery) position, this is the Ren Mai (Conception Vessel).)
The Ren Mai (Conception Vessel) bears the Sea of Yin and is named "Ren" (The Ren Mai also originates from the Bao Zhong, travels along the abdomen on the anterior aspect of the body, and serves as the supporter of all Yin Meridians, thus being called the Sea of Yin Meridians,)
Tian Gui (Heavenly Water/Reproductive Essence) arises from it, containing Yang within Yin (The Ren Mai governs Tian Gui, which is the primordial Qi of Heaven. When the Ren Mai is full, the Chong Mai (Penetrating Vessel) becomes vigorous, menstruation occurs regularly, and conception is possible. Thus, the abundance of True Yin must rely on the solidity of True Yang,)
If Yin and Yang Qi become knotted and cut off, it leads to calamities in the anterior abdomen such as hernia, masses, metrorrhagia, and leukorrhea (Diseases of the Ren Mai are not merely self-inflicted by Yin, but actually arise because there is no Yang within the Yin. Therefore, hernia, masses, metrorrhagia, and leukorrhea are all caused by the knotting of Yin Qi.)
