彦之先生在癸巳年夏季摔断了左臂，向南出行寻求治疗，得到了《跌损妙方》这一书稿，病情因此逐渐好转。今年秋天他再次进行校对修订，打算刻印出版但苦于缺乏资金，便来与我商量。我阅读了这本书，发现其用药平稳，立法精详，确实是医学界中罕见的佳作。它可以补充自《灵枢》、《素问》以来尚未完备的内容。程子曾说：“一个普通的读书人，如果心存为世人谋福利的念头，对他人一定会有帮助。”说的就是先生您吧。于是我资助了他刊印的费用，并在书后写下几句话作为序跋。

彦之先生刻印《跌损妙方》完成，我随意题写长诗一首，以此祝贺他的六十岁寿辰。
身体如同经过百炼的精金，年华六十仿佛重生之初，筹算添增甲子轮回之日，著述达到轩岐（黄帝与岐伯）时代未曾有过的书籍。世间的风波通过诵读《金刚经》得以解脱，胸中的郁结之气借酒消除，祝福他人即是自我祝福，功德无量，请珍重那装满万宝的医囊（指医术）。

Mr. Yanzhi fractured his left humerus in the summer of the Guisi year. He traveled south seeking treatment and obtained a copy of *Die Sun Miao Fang* (Miraculous Formulas for Traumatic Injuries), after which his condition gradually improved. This autumn, he revised and collated the text again, intending to have it printed but lacking funds, so he consulted me. Upon reading it, I found that its medication was steady and its therapeutic principles precise and detailed; it is indeed a rare masterpiece in the medical field. It can supplement what has been incomplete since the era of the *Ling Shu* (Spiritual Pivot) and *Su Wen* (Basic Questions). As Master Cheng said: "A humble scholar who keeps the welfare of others in mind will surely benefit people." This describes you, Mr. Yanzhi. Therefore, I assisted with the printing costs and appended a few words at the end.

Upon the completion of Mr. Yanzhi's printing of *Die Sun Miao Fang*, I casually composed a long poem to celebrate his sixtieth birthday.
His body is like refined gold tempered a hundred times; at sixty years old, it feels like a rebirth. Counting the cycles of the Jiazi sexagenary cycle, his writings reach books unseen since the times of Xuanyuan (Yellow Emperor) and Qibo. Worldly troubles are resolved through daily recitation of the *Diamond Sutra*; inner frustrations are dispelled by wine. Blessing others is truly boundless self-blessing; cherish the green bag (a metaphor for medical knowledge) filled with ten thousand treasures.
