溺毒入血，血毒上脑之候∶头痛而晕，视力蒙 ，耳鸣耳聋，恶心呕吐，呼气带有溺臭，间或猝发癫痫状，
甚或神昏痉厥不省人事，循衣摸床撮空，舌苔起腐，间有黑点。
汗下清消后，大虚将脱之候∶神由倦而渐昏，由昏而渐沉，或郑声错语，或独语如见鬼，声颤无力，语不接
续，如痴如迷，喜向里睡，似寐非寐，似寤非寤，呼之不应；四肢厥冷，面色苍白，眼珠现青白色，冷汗自出，
气少息促，二便清利，循衣摸床撮空；舌色淡晦少神，或阔大胖嫩，或淡红圆浓。
按∶延医以上诸症，不论其脉，速用强壮心脑，急救阴
阳，复脉振神等方，对症发药，庶可幸全一二，稍缓则不及救矣。医家病家，幸毋迟疑贻误。
邪陷正虚，内闭外脱之候∶神昏谵语，甚则昏厥发痉，不语如尸，或妄笑如痴，目闭舌强，欲伸而不得伸，
气短息促，扬手踯足，躁不得卧，手足厥逆，冷汗自出，在男子则囊缩，在妇人则乳缩，舌苔焦紫起刺，或色
绛而胖嫩。
热深阳郁，外闭内脱之候∶目 赤，或眼白现红丝，鼻孔干，唇红燥，耳聋心烦，渴喜凉饮；舌苔黄黑而
燥，起刺如锋；小便黄赤涩痛，大便黄黑稠粘，或溏泻而极臭，或下鲜血，下时肛门热痛；胸至少腹热甚，按
之灼手，一身肌表反不发热，虽热亦微，恶寒无汗，反欲拥被向火，甚则四肢厥冷，指甲青紫。
溺毒进入血液，血中毒素上扰脑部所呈现的证候：头痛且伴有眩晕，视力模糊，耳鸣甚至耳聋，恶心呕吐，呼出的气体带有尿骚味，偶尔突然发作类似癫痫的症状，
严重时出现神志昏迷、抽搐厥逆而不省人事，双手无意识地摸弄衣被和空际（循衣摸床撮空），舌苔腐腻，间或可见黑点。
经过发汗、攻下、清热、消导等治疗后，出现正气极度虚弱、即将脱失的证候：精神由疲倦逐渐转为昏沉，由昏沉逐渐陷入深度昏迷，或者言语重复错乱（郑声错语），或者独自说话如同见到鬼怪，声音颤抖无力，话语不能连贯，神情痴呆迷乱，喜欢向内侧躺卧，似睡非睡，似醒非醒，呼唤不应；四肢冰冷，面色苍白，眼珠显现青白色，冷汗自出，气息微弱急促，大小便清长通利，双手无意识地摸弄衣被和空际；舌色淡暗少神，或舌体阔大胖嫩，或淡红圆钝浓浊。
按语：遇到上述各种症状，无论脉象如何，应立即使用强壮心脑、急救阴阳、恢复脉象振奋精神等方剂，对症用药，或许能侥幸保全一二生机，稍一迟缓则无法救治了。医生和患者家属，务必不要迟疑贻误病情。
邪气内陷而正气虚弱，内部闭塞外部脱失的证候：神志昏迷胡言乱语，严重时昏厥抽搐，不语如尸体一般，或者无故傻笑如同痴呆，眼睛闭合舌体僵硬，想要伸展舌头却伸不出来，气短呼吸急促，举手踢足，烦躁不得安卧，手足冰冷，冷汗自出，在男子则阴囊收缩，在妇人则乳房收缩，舌苔焦紫起刺，或舌色深红而胖嫩。
热邪深入导致阳气郁闭，外部闭塞内部脱失的证候：眼睛发红，或眼白部分显现红丝，鼻孔干燥，嘴唇红燥，耳聋心烦，口渴喜欢喝冷饮；舌苔黄黑而干燥，起刺如锋刃；小便黄赤涩痛，大便黄黑稠粘，或稀溏泻下且气味极臭，或排出鲜血，排便时肛门灼热疼痛；胸部至小腹部热势严重，按压时烫手，但全身肌肤体表反而不发热，即使有热也很轻微，恶寒无汗，反而想要盖被子靠近火源，严重时四肢冰冷，指甲青紫。
Manifestations of Uremic Toxins Entering the Blood and Blood Toxins Ascending to the Brain: Headache with dizziness, blurred vision, tinnitus or deafness, nausea and vomiting, breath with a uremic odor, occasional sudden onset of epilepsy-like symptoms,
severe cases presenting with coma, convulsions, syncope, and loss of consciousness, unconscious picking at bedclothes and grasping at empty air (picking at clothes and bedclothes), coating of the tongue being greasy and putrid, occasionally with black spots.
Post-sweating, purging, clearing heat, and resolving stagnation treatments, manifestations of extreme deficiency of Zheng Qi (Upright Qi) impending collapse: Mental state gradually deteriorates from fatigue to confusion, from confusion to deep coma, or presents with incoherent repetitive speech (Zhengsheng/Cuo Yu), or solitary muttering as if seeing ghosts, voice trembling and weak, speech discontinuous, appearing dazed and confused, preferring to lie on the side, between sleep and wakefulness, unresponsive to calls; cold limbs, pale complexion, eyes showing bluish-white hue, spontaneous cold sweat, shortness of breath and rapid respiration, clear and profuse urination and defecation, unconscious picking at bedclothes and grasping at empty air; tongue color pale and dull lacking spirit, or tongue body large, fat, and tender, or pale red, round, and thick.
Note: When encountering the above various symptoms, regardless of the pulse, immediately use formulas for strengthening the heart and brain, emergency rescue of Yin and Yang, restoring the pulse and revitalizing Shen (Spirit), prescribing medication according to the syndrome, so that one might barely survive; any delay will render it untreatable. Physicians and patients' families, please do not hesitate or cause delays.
Manifestations of Pathogenic Factor Invading Internally with Deficient Zheng Qi, Internal Closure and External Collapse: Coma and delirious speech, severe cases presenting with syncope and convulsions, mute like a corpse, or laughing foolishly as if demented, eyes closed and tongue stiff, desire to extend but unable to, shortness of breath and rapid respiration, waving hands and kicking feet, restlessness preventing sleep, cold extremities, spontaneous cold sweat, in males retraction of the scrotum, in females retraction of the breasts, tongue coating scorched purple with prickles, or tongue color crimson and fat/tender.
Manifestations of Deep Heat causing Yang Depression, External Closure and Internal Collapse: Reddened eyes, or red streaks visible in the sclera, dry nasal passages, red and dry lips, deafness, irritability, thirst preferring cold drinks; tongue coating yellow-black and dry, with prickles like blades; urine yellow-red and painful/difficult, stool yellow-black sticky/thick, or loose diarrhea with extremely foul odor, or passage of fresh blood, burning pain in the anus during defecation; intense heat from chest to lower abdomen, hot to touch, yet the skin and surface of the body are relatively non-febrile, even if febrile then mild, aversion to cold without sweat, desire to cover with blankets and seek fire, severe cases presenting with cold limbs and cyanotic fingernails.
