生晒术、浙苓、生白芍各钱半、远志、炙甘草各八分、炒广皮一钱、官桂五分、五味子九粒。）冲鹿茸酒一
瓢。补中益气汤。加鹿茸血片三分之类。能治脑气衰弱。心神虚散者。惟此三方。最力大而效速。为急救大虚
昏沉之峻剂。凡治伤寒热病。用凉泻太过。克伐元阳。而阳虚神散者。必须阴阳并救。如陶氏回阳救急汤（黑

If knowledgeable physicians had provided preemptive rescue, how could the pivot of Yin and Yang have failed to intersect, leading to Jue (cold extremities/fainting) and Tuo (collapse)?
[Lian Kan] After Han (sweating) and Xia (purging) treatments for Shanghan (Cold Damage) and Wenbing (Warm Diseases), the internal Qi, Blood, and Spirit are injured. Consequently, patients often exhibit limb fatigue and mental dullness, which are signs of severe deficiency of Yuan Qi (Original Qi) and Spirit, approaching collapse. It is imperative to strengthen the heart mechanism and excite the nerves. One must devise a specific, innovative method of severe tonification to lift sunken Qi within the framework of opening and penetrating methods, so that there might be one chance of survival out of nine deaths. The first approach is to strengthen the heart and brain, using formulas such as Shengui Lurong Tang (Cinnamon Twig and Deer Antler Decoction: Jilin Ginseng 3 qian, Bai Guishen [Radix Angelicae Sinensis] 1 qian, Zhi Mian [Astragali Radix prepared] 2 qian, Zhi Gancao [Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma prepared] 0.5 qian, Lurong Xuepian [Deer Antler Blood Slice] 0.3 fen, Longyanrou [Longan Aril] 3 pieces, Fresh Ginger 1 slice; decocted and taken with 1 cup of aged wine or 1 ladle of red wine), Renshen Yangrong Tang (Ginseng Nourishing Grace Decoction: Xi Dangshen [Codonopsis Radix], Zhi [Astragali Radix prepared], Shudi [Rehmanniae Radix Preparata] each 3 qian, Guishen [Radix Angelicae Sinensis], Sheng Shai Zhu [Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma raw-dried], Zhe Ling [Poria Cocos prepared], Sheng Baishao [Paeoniae Radix Alba raw] each 1.5 qian, Yuanzhi [Polygalae Radix], Zhi Gancao [Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma prepared] each 0.8 fen, Chao Guangpi [Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium fried] 1 qian, Guanzi Gui [Cinnamomi Ramulus] 0.5 fen, Wuweizi [Schisandrae Chinensis Fructus] 9 grains; taken with 1 ladle of Deer Antler Wine), and Buzhong Yiqi Tang (Tonify the Middle and Augment the Qi Decoction) plus Lurong Xuepian [Deer Antler Blood Slice] 0.3 fen. These can treat conditions of weak brain Qi and scattered heart spirit. Only these three formulas possess the greatest power and fastest effect, serving as severe agents for emergency rescue of severe deficiency and mental dullness. Whenever treating Shanghan or febrile diseases, if excessive use of cooling and purgative methods damages the Yuan Yang (Original Yang), leading to Yang deficiency and scattered spirit, simultaneous rescue of Yin and Yang is required, such as with Tao Shi Huiyang Jiutang (Tao's Return Yang Rescue Extremity Decoction: Hei [Fuzi etc.])
