Women suffering from Hong Kong foot (redness, swelling, and pain in the feet) should undergo multiple needle pricks to bleed for qi circulation. Apply the San Yin Qi Yin Shang Xia Fa (Three Yin Qi-Guiding Up-and-Down Method), following the meridian to the Taichong acupoint (LR3, Great Surge) to welcome the blood and qi. Add re-acupuncture on the next day; at Yongquan (KI1, Gushing Spring), use needle flicking so that qi flows naturally according to the meridian. Pause for fifty breath cycles; without withdrawing the needle, the qi will settle naturally.
For women with irregular menstrual blood and qi, apply the Pan Yuan (Plate Circle) manipulation at Zhongwan (CV12, Middle Jiao Hub) to send qi upward; apply Shuang Pan (Double Plate) manipulation at Jinggong (an extra point below the umbilicus) to gather qi downward. Rubbing these two points generates abundant heat. Add the San Qi Shang Fa (Three Qi-Upward Method) three times, and Yin She Xia (Yin Gathering Downward) to harmonize blood and qi. Use Li San Yang (Stomach Three-Yang Ascending) once at Zusanli (ST36, Leg Three Miles); withdraw the needle quickly to allow descending qi to dissipate.
Shaking the needle frequently promotes immediate blood and qi movement; lifting the needle causes the skin to rise distinctly. Then add one plate using seven gathering manipulations; if mid-lifting meets resistance, it indicates deficiency in the lower part.
If menstruation has ceased for one or two years, apply Da Pan (Large Plate) gathering manipulation at Zhongji (CV3, Central Pole) to move stagnant qi. Repeat the large plate gathering one or two times; rubbing downward must generate heat. Heat spreads from the abdomen down through the Three Yin meridians. Lifting and extending causes the skin to rise by 70%; this 70% rise extends directly to the extraordinary meridians below, frequently ascending yin qi through the Three Yin meridians.
For unmarried girls, use the Large Plate method four times for circling. Slightly lift the two points so yang qi moves spontaneously. Add slight circling with rubbing manipulation; gathering downward while rubbing must generate heat. If the Xiang Fa (Resonance Method) is used to ascend yin twice, and the upper point ascends yang causing resonance several times, this condition requires lifting and extending without withdrawing the needle; menstruation will resume immediately regardless of its current state.
For irregular menstruation or amenorrhea, apply the Large Plate method with lifting and extending at Zhongji (CV3). If the Resonance Method is used for seven gatherings, lifting and extending will naturally produce a true response. Then take the Small Plate method plus gathering manipulation; rubbing must generate heat for one small cycle. If further lifting and extending fails to raise the skin, menstruation will naturally resume after seven days post-menstruation.
For women with excessive leukorrhea (white and red discharge), due to uterine deficiency and cold, how can it be treated? Apply the Pan Yuan (Plate Circle) manipulation at Zhongji (CV3) to extract descending qi; apply Shuang Pan (Double Plate) at Jinggong (extra point) until rubbing generates heat. Use Li San Yin (Stomach Three-Yin Ascending) method at Zusanli (ST36) and Sanyinjiao (SP6, Three Yin Intersection). Continuously apply Yang Ascending methods to harmonize. The next day, perform Sanyinjiao (SP6) again, continuously applying Yin Ascending methods to harmonize.
For women with severe metrorrhagia (blood mountain collapse), especially difficult to treat in the elderly: On the first day, apply Pan Yuan (Plate Circle) at Zhongji (CV3); apply Shuang Pan (Double Plate) at Jinggong (extra point) to harmonize qi. Seven days prior, needle Zusanli (ST36); apply Yang Ascending at Zusanli with pressing, trembling, and rubbing. If there is lower back pain, needle Shenshu (BL23, Kidney Transport); rub urgently, press, and scrape multiple times.
For men with nocturnal emissions occurring irregularly at night, the Jinggong (extra point) Double Plate method is most effective. Apply Pan Yuan (Plate Circle) at Dantian (CV4, Sea of Qi); apply Yang Ascending at Sanyinjiao (SP6). If lifting and extending all points raises them by 70%, kidney qi becomes strong. Use the Qi Shang Fa (Qi-Upward Method) at Zusanli (ST36) twice; continuously lifting until the skin rises is indeed an excellent prescription.
