My younger brother would inevitably experience severe knee soreness and pain after walking one or two li, making walking impossible. He had to sit down and massage the area with his hands for a long time before he could walk again. Later, he recovered after taking large amounts of Aconite Root (*Fuzi*). In winter, my knees also became sore and painful, which was cured by moxibustion on Dubi (EX-LE4). This demonstrates that herbal medicine and moxibustion should not be neglected. Moxibustion on Xiguan (EX-LE6) and Zusanli (ST36) is also effective. However, where pressing the acupoint elicits soreness and pain, that is the site of pathology; moxibustion can be applied without strict adherence to fixed points.
