Hunshe (Soul Residence) is located on both sides of the umbilicus, one cun away from it.
Indications: Diarrhea, dysentery with pus and blood caused by the Small Intestine; moxibustion for 100 moxa cones; reduce dosage for children.
Houyaxia (Posterior Axilla) Point
Indications: Neck fistula; moxibustion at the corresponding positions on both sides of the back behind; "Xiahou Wentou" refers to this area; moxa dosage follows the patient's age (Suinian Zhuang).
Five Points on the Spine and Back
Indications: Epilepsy in adults and convulsive epilepsy in children.
Acupoint selection: Measure the distance between the upper side of the second thoracic vertebra and the tip of the coccyx below using a string. Find the midpoint, then measure half that length up to the spine to mark the point.
Mark three points in total. Fold the string into three equal parts (three folds), forming a triangle shape (△). Align the top vertex with the central marked point, and the other two vertices should align with the sides of the spine. Moxibustion is applied simultaneously at these locations.
A total of five points are treated, each with 100 moxa cones. (From *Qianjin Yifang*)
Jueque Shu (Fourth Thoracic Vertebra Below, Named Jueque)
Indications: Qi stagnation in the chest and diaphragm; moxibustion follows the patient's age.
Dushu (Below the Sixth Thoracic Vertebra, Two Cun Lateral to the Spine on Both Sides)
Needling is contraindicated; only moxibustion is allowed. Also known as Gaogai.
Qihai Shu (Below the Fifteenth Thoracic Vertebra, Two Cun Lateral to the Spine on Both Sides)
Needle depth: 3 fen; retain needle for six breaths; moxibustion is also permitted.
Guanyuan Shu (Below the Seventeenth Thoracic Vertebra, Two Cun Lateral to the Spine on Both Sides)
Needle depth: 3 fen; retain needle for six breaths; moxibustion is also permitted.
Indications: Diarrhea, dysentery, vacuity-type abdominal distension, difficulty in urination, and various diseases such as mass accumulation in women.
Jiaji (Paravertebral) Point
Indications: Cholera with muscle cramps.
Method: The patient lies prone with face down, arms extended along the body. A string is stretched horizontally between the tips of the elbows, aligned with the center of the spine. The acupoints are located one and a half cun lateral to the string on both sides.
Moxibustion of 100 cones is applied; recovery is assured. This is the method of Hua Tuo.
Xiaji Shu (Below the Fifteenth Lumbar Vertebra, Named Xiaji Shu)
Indications: Abdominal disorders, lower back pain, coldness of the bladder, retention of cold fluids, and diarrhea; moxibustion follows the patient's age. (From *Qianjin Yifang*)
Shiqi Zhui (Seventeenth Lumbar Vertebra) Point
Indications: Retention of urine (Paozhuan), lower back pain; moxibustion for 50 cones. (From *Qianjin Yifang*)
Huiqi (Above the Coccyx, at the junction of red and white skin)
Indications: Five types of hemorrhoids, hematochezia, fecal incontinence; moxibustion for 100 cones. ○If moxibusting the coccyx region, a higher number of cones is preferable. (From *Qianjin Yifang*)
Xiyao One Point (At the center of the Ba Liao points on the spine, named Sanzong Bone)
Indications: Diarrhea, dysentery with pus and blood; moxibustion for 50 cones.
Huangang Two Points (In the transverse crease two cun below the Xiaochang Shu)
Indications: Obstruction of urination and defecation; moxibustion for 7 cones.
Jiafeng Two Points (At the lower end of the scapula, directly opposite the apex of the axillary fold and arm)
Indications: Shoulder and back pain; needle insertion depth 3 fen, reducing method with two exhalations (Xie Er Xi).
Jinggong (Three Cun Lateral to the Lower Side of the Fourteenth Thoracic Vertebra on the Back)
Specifically indicates nocturnal emission; moxibustion for 7 cones, highly effective.
Chonggu (The first small vertebra above Dazhui)
Jianzhu (At the bony prominence where the shoulder begins)
Indications: Scrofula (Luoli) and inability to raise the arm; moxibustion for 7 cones.
Zhuoyu (Five cun lateral to Dan Shu, named Zhuoyu)
Indications: Gallbladder disease in the chest, fearfulness, frequent fright, weakness, bitter taste in the mouth, loss of taste; moxibustion follows the patient's age.
Yaoyan (Lumbar Eye) Acupoint
Method: The patient lies supine. Mark two points in the depressions of the lumbar eyes. Moxibustion for 7 cones at each point. This point is not recorded in other medical texts but is documented in *Jujia Biyong*, with repeated successful trials.
Indications: Difficult-to-treat cases of deep-seated consumptive diseases (Lao Zhai).
On the day of Gui Hai, just after the second watch and entering the third watch, have the patient lie supine to locate the points and moxibustion for 3 cones. ○ Specifically treats infectious consumptive disease (Chuanshi Lao Zhai).
There are cases leading to family extinction due to this condition. This disease arises from heat and cold frying the blood, causing blood stasis and qi stagnation, which may transform into parasites eating the internal organs, often transmitting to others. It is hard to treat with hundred prescriptions; only moxibustion can attack it.
Method: On the day of Gui Hai, just before midnight when the Six Spirits gather, ensure no one knows. Have the patient remove lower garments, raise hands as described previously, and turn slightly backward. A slight depression will appear on both sides of the waist, named Guiyan (Ghost Eye) or commonly Yaoyan. Stand upright, mark with ink, then lie prone on the bed. Use small moxa cones for 7, 9, or 11 cones (11 is best). The parasite will be expelled through vomiting or diarrhea; burn and discard it far away. This method is easier and more effective than Sihua and other points. ○ *Qianjin Yifang* states: For lower back pain, moxibustion at Yaomu. Yaomu is approximately left and right above the sacrum. ○ It also says: Three cun below Shenshu, one and a half cun lateral to the spine on both sides, press to find the depression. Indication: Diabetes (Xiaoke). These two descriptions seem to refer to this same point.
Jiaji Point (Measure from below the Third Thoracic Vertebra near the Fourth, 5 fen lateral to the spine on both sides)
Moxibustion for 21 to 49 cones; immediate effect, highly effective.
Three Points: One cun above the coccyx, one cun to the left and right.
Indications: Lower back pain with inability to flex or extend; additionally moxibustion Shenshu and Weizhong, 7 cones each.
Xipang (Knee Side) Point
Indications: Lower back pain with inability to extend or flex, leg soreness making prolonged standing difficult. At the four corners of the popliteal crease head, moxibustion for 3 cones each. Blow fire simultaneously so it extinguishes itself instantly. If one point is not treated, the disease will not heal.
Jigu Pang (Side of the Spine)
Indications: Kyphosis of the waist and back. Deeply needle and moxibustion at the protruding, elevated areas on both sides of the spine for 500 to 700-800 cones. If the disease is intermittent, it is not necessary to complete the full number of cones.
