上将前药俱为末，冬蜜一斤沙罐内溶开，生绢滤过去蜡煎熬，用棍棒不住手搅熬至紫色，滴水不散，将前药末入内
搅匀，取出于青石上铁捶可打千余下，或为锭子或为丸子，不拘作法，远年近日疼痛风湿难开诸症，将一丸温水化开，
或点眼，或作锭子磨水点之极效。又或为膏于纸上贴两太阳穴，散血尤妙。
熊胆膏
熊胆（一钱，真者其色如砂糖样，带润湿色，吃在口内味苦又凉，即真者） 牛黄（一钱） 龙胆（五分）
（即苏州薄荷，其叶三四指大如羊叶相似） 蕤仁（去油，一钱） 硼砂（一钱） 黄连（为末，二两）
此膏治男女远年近日，内外障膜，赤烂天行时气，暴发赤肿。
治眼肿红，痛涩难开。若用 洗之后，可吹鼻中，先含水一口，然后吹之，以通其气，散其风邪。
治眼肿红方
鹅不吃草（二两） 川芎 白芷 石菖蒲 蔓荆子（各三钱） 细辛 牙皂 全蝎（各一钱） 郁金（三钱）
上为细末，罐内收贮，勿令泄气，以备后用。
五黄膏 治目肿痛涩，欲以冷洗应验。
好黄连 黄芩 黄柏 大黄 黄丹
上为细末，以芙蓉叶用冷水，或煎茶调，贴二太阳穴。
白敛膏
好白芨 小白芷 白敛
上为末，牛脂熬成膏，如前敷贴。
四生散 治眼目被物刺伤，或摸损。
生地黄 生薄荷 生艾叶 生当归 朴硝
上共捣烂，贴眼眶并患处。
神仙散 治头目昏眩，偏风痛极。
甜瓜蒂 焰硝 苍耳子 川芎 薄荷 藜芦 郁金 雄黄
上将前为末，口含水吹一字入鼻中，令患者含水一口，方吹药入患者鼻中。
碧天丹 专治远年近日烂弦风眼。
铜青（五钱） 明矾（四钱） 五倍子（一钱） 白 土（一钱） 海螵蛸（一钱） 薄荷叶（五分）
上将此六味俱为末，用老姜汁搅和为丸，如圆眼核大，要用时将一丸淡姜汤一盏泡散，洗眼弦，次日再洗，根据此洗
三四次即愈。
八仙丹 治烂眼弦风有虫痒甚效。

片脑（五分，另研） 硼砂（一钱，另研） 青盐（八分，另研） 白丁香（五分，水澄） 红珊瑚 石燕（ ）
滴乳香（炙） 熊胆（微炙干） 辰砂 血竭 金精石（滚水泡） 银精石（滚水泡，各一钱） 芦甘石（火 黄连水
淬，淬七次，用五钱或七钱） 砂（一钱，明者，将纸七重包煨另研，包起遇有翳浓者加入，无翳者不用）
上为细末，和匀，用瓷器罐盛起，一半干点，一半入后药内为膏子点。
当归尾 生地黄 赤白芍 防风 蔓荆子 羌活 连翘 黄芩 薄荷
各用五钱， 细，用雪水或腊月水两大盏，石器内煮药至一盏，去渣，用真正好白蜜三两，再用文武火熬三四沸，
以新绢袋滤出，收入瓷罐内，却将前药末共作一处搅匀，用清油纸缚住常常旋取点用。此药收八九年亦好不坏，此仙传
方也。
炉甘石（经过煅炼，一两） 黄连（研成粉末，六钱） 川乌（浸泡后去皮，六钱） 铜青（质地优良的，二钱） 川姜（煨制后去皮，六钱） 鹰屎（二钱） 没药（经炮制） 黄丹（各一钱） 乳香（经炮制，一钱） 血竭（一钱） 硼砂（五分） 龙脑（五分） 麝香（二分） 蕤仁（去皮并榨去油脂，六钱）
将上述药物全部研磨成细末。取一斤冬蜜放入沙罐中溶化，用生绢过滤去除蜡质，然后进行煎熬，用棍棒不停地搅拌，直至药液呈现紫色，滴入水中不散开。此时将前述药末加入其中搅拌均匀，取出后放在青石上，用铁锤捶打一千多次，或者制成锭剂或丸子，制作形式不拘泥于固定方法。对于陈年旧疾或新近发生的疼痛、风湿等难以治愈的眼症，取一丸用温水化开，或者直接点眼；或者制成锭剂磨水后点眼，效果极佳。也可以将其制成膏药贴在纸上，敷贴于两太阳穴处，具有极好的散血功效。
熊胆（一钱，真品颜色像砂糖样，带有湿润色泽，放入口中味道苦且凉，即为真品） 牛黄（一钱） 龙胆（五分）（即苏州薄荷，其叶片三四指大，形状像羊叶相似） 蕤仁（去油，一钱） 硼砂（一钱） 黄连（研成粉末，二两）
此膏用于治疗男女患者陈年旧疾或新近发生的内外障膜、赤烂、天行时气（传染性眼病）、突发红肿等症状。
治疗眼睛红肿、疼痛涩滞难以睁开。如果使用某药清洗之后，可以吹入鼻中，先含一口水，然后吹药，以通畅气机，疏散风邪。
鹅不吃草（二两） 川芎 白芷 石菖蒲 蔓荆子（各三钱） 细辛 牙皂 全蝎（各一钱） 郁金（三钱）
将上述药物研成细末，存放在罐中，不要漏气，以备后用。
将上述药物研成细末，用芙蓉叶加冷水调匀，或者用煎好的茶调匀，贴敷于两个太阳穴。
将上述药物研成粉末，用牛脂熬制成膏，像前面所述那样敷贴。
四生散 治疗眼睛被物体刺伤，或者抚摸损伤。
将上述药物共同捣烂，贴敷于眼眶及患处。
将上述药物研成粉末，口中含水，吹入一字量的药粉入鼻中，让患者也含一口水，然后将药粉吹入患者鼻中。
碧天丹 专门治疗陈年旧疾或新近发生的烂弦风眼（眼睑边缘溃烂的风湿性眼病）。

将上述六味药物全部研成粉末，用老姜汁调和做成丸子，大小如桂圆核。使用时取一丸在一盏淡姜汤中泡散，清洗眼缘，第二天再洗，按照这个方法洗三四次即可痊愈。

蕤仁（去皮壳） 麝香（四分，单独研磨） 珍珠（一钱，放在豆腐内蒸过） 琥珀（一钱，单独研磨） 石蟹（一钱，煨制） 片脑（五分，单独研磨） 硼砂（一钱，单独研磨） 青盐（八分，单独研磨） 白丁香（五分，用水澄洗） 红珊瑚 石燕（ ） 滴乳香（炙烤） 熊胆（微炙干） 辰砂 血竭 金精石（用滚水泡） 银精石（用滚水泡，各一钱） 炉甘石（用火煅烧，用黄连水淬炼七次，使用五钱或七钱） 硇砂（一钱，透明的，用七层纸包裹煨制后单独研磨，遇到翳膜浓重者加入，无翳者不用）
将上述药物研成细末，混合均匀，用瓷器罐盛装。一半用于干点，另一半加入后面的药物中制成膏状点眼。

各用五钱，切碎，用雪水或腊月水两大盏，在石器中煮药至一盏，去渣，加入真正的好白蜜三两，再用文火和武火交替熬煮三四沸，用新绢袋滤出，收入瓷罐中。然后将前面的药末与此药液混合均匀，用清油纸封口，经常旋转取用点眼。此药收藏八九年也不会变质，这是仙传秘方。
Qianjin Shengji Gao (Thousand Gold Supreme Ointment)
Calcined Calamine (Ludongshi, 炉甘石) (calcined, 1 liang), Coptis Rhizome (Huanglian, 黄连) (powdered, 6 qian), Sichuan Aconite Root (Chuanwu, 川乌) (soaked and peeled, 6 qian), Malachite Green (Tongqing, 铜青) (high quality, 2 qian), Sichuan Ginger (Chuanjiang, 川姜) (baked and peeled, 6 qian), Eagle Droppings (Yingshi, 鹰屎) (2 qian), Myrrh (Moyao, 没药) (processed), Lead Tetroxide (Huandan, 黄丹) (each 1 qian), Frankincense (Ruxiang, 乳香) (processed, 1 qian), Dragon's Blood (Xuejie, 血竭) (1 qian), Borax (Pengsha, 硼砂) (5 fen), Borneol (Longnao, 龙脑) (5 fen), Moschus (Shexiang, 麝香) (2 fen), Prunus Persica Kernel (Ruiren, 蕤仁) (peeled and oil removed, 6 qian).
Grind all the aforementioned herbs into fine powder. Dissolve 1 jin of winter honey in a clay pot, filter through raw silk to remove wax, then boil while stirring constantly with a stick until the mixture turns purple and does not disperse when dropped into water. Add the herbal powder, stir evenly, take out, and pound on a bluestone slab with an iron hammer over a thousand times. Alternatively, shape into tablets or pills, without restriction on the form. For chronic or recent eye conditions involving pain, wind-dampness, and other stubborn ailments, dissolve one pill in warm water, apply directly to the eyes, or grind a tablet in water for application, which is extremely effective. It can also be made into a plaster applied to paper and placed on both Taiyang acupoints (Taiyang, 太阳穴) to excellently dissipate blood stasis.
Xiondan Gao (Bear Bile Ointment)
Bear Gallbladder (Xiondan, 熊胆) (1 qian; authentic product resembles sugar granules, has a moist luster, tastes bitter and cool in the mouth), Bovine Calculus (Niuhuang, 牛黄) (1 qian), Gentiana Root (Longdan, 龙胆) (5 fen; specifically Mentha haplocalyx from Suzhou, leaves 3-4 fingers wide resembling sheep leaves), Prunus Persica Kernel (Ruiren, 蕤仁) (oil removed, 1 qian), Borax (Pengsha, 硼砂) (1 qian), Coptis Rhizome (Huanglian, 黄连) (powdered, 2 liang).
This ointment treats chronic or recent internal and external nebulae, redness and ulceration, epidemic eye diseases, and sudden swelling and redness in men and women.
It treats swollen, red, painful, and gritty eyes that are difficult to open. After washing with a specific solution, the powder can be insufflated into the nose. The patient should hold a mouthful of water before insufflation to unblock qi and disperse wind pathogens.
Formula for Treating Eye Swelling and Redness
Goatweed Herb (Ebucaicao, 鹅不吃草) (2 liang), Ligusticum Chuanxiong Rhizome (Chuanxiong, 川芎), Angelica Dahurica Root (Baizhi, 白芷), Acorus Tatarinowii Rhizome (Shichangpu, 石菖蒲), Vitex Fruit (Manjingzi, 蔓荆子) (each 3 qian), Asarum Root (Xixin, 细辛), Glycyrrhiza Uralensis Root with Soap Pods (Yazao, 牙皂), Scorpion (Quanxie, 全蝎) (each 1 qian), Curcuma Longa Rhizome (Yujin, 郁金) (3 qian).
Grind into fine powder, store in a jar tightly sealed to prevent air leakage for future use.
Wuhuang Gao (Five Yellows Ointment)
Treats swollen, painful, and gritty eyes; cold washes are verified to be effective.
High-quality Coptis Rhizome (Huanglian, 黄连), Scutellaria Baicalensis Root (Huangqin, 黄芩), Phellodendron Bark (Huangbai, 黄柏), Rheum Palmatum Root (Dahuang, 大黄), Lead Tetroxide (Huandan, 黄丹).
Grind into fine powder. Mix with Abutilon Theophrasti Leaf (Furongye, 芙蓉叶) using cold water, or mix with brewed tea, and apply to both Taiyang acupoints (Taiyang, 太阳穴).
Bailian Gao (White Convolvolus Ointment)
Good Bletilla Striata Tuber (Baiji, 白芨), Small Angelica Dahurica Root (Xiaobaizhi, 小白芷), White Convolvolus Root (Bailian, 白敛).
Grind into powder, boil with Beef Fat (Niuzhi, 牛脂) to make an ointment, and apply as described previously.
Sisheng San (Four Raw Powders)
Treats eye injuries caused by foreign objects or rubbing.
Rehmannia Glutinosa Root (Shengdihuang, 生地黄), Mint Herb (Shengbohe, 生薄荷), Mugwort Leaf (Shengaiye, 生艾叶), Angelica Sinensis Root (Shengdanggui, 生当归), Mirabilite (Puxiao, 朴硝).
Pound together until mashed, and apply to the eye socket and affected area.
Shenxian San (Immortal Powder)
Treats dizziness of the head and eyes, and severe unilateral headache due to wind.
Melon Seed (Tianguadi, 甜瓜蒂), Saltpeter (Yanxiao, 焰硝), Xanthium Fruit (Cangerzi, 苍耳子), Ligusticum Chuanxiong Rhizome (Chuanxiong, 川芎), Mint Herb (Bohe, 薄荷), Veratrum Nigrum Rhizome (Lilu, 藜芦), Curcuma Longa Rhizome (Yujin, 郁金), Realgar (Xionghuang, 雄黄).
Grind the above into powder. Hold water in the mouth, insufflate a small amount ("one character" dose) into the nose. The patient should also hold a mouthful of water while the medicine is insufflated into their nose.
Bitian Dan (Blue Sky Pill)
Specifically treats chronic or recent marginal blepharitis due to wind-dampness.
Malachite Green (Tongqing, 铜青) (5 qian), Alum (Mingfan, 明矾) (4 qian), Chinese Gall (Wubeizi, 五倍子) (1 qian), White Clay (Baitu, 白土) (1 qian), Cuttlebone (Haipiaoxiao, 海螵蛸) (1 qian), Mint Leaf (Boherye, 薄荷叶) (5 fen).
Grind these six ingredients into powder, mix with old ginger juice to form pills the size of longan seeds. To use, dissolve one pill in a cup of weak ginger soup to wash the eyelid margin. Wash again the next day. Following this method for three to four washes will result in recovery.
Baxian Dan (Eight Immortals Pill)
Treats marginal blepharitis with wind and intense itching caused by parasites, with excellent efficacy.
Angelica Sinensis Root (Danggui, 当归) (7 fen), Verdigris (Tonglü, 铜绿) (1 qian), Mint Herb (Bohe, 薄荷) (7 fen), Alum (Baifan, 白矾) (1 qian), Coptis Rhizome (Huanglian, 黄连), Chinese Gall (Wubeizi, 五倍子), Saltpeter (Yanxiao, 焰硝) (each 5 fen), Calomel (Qingfen, 轻粉) (2 fen).
Grind into extremely fine powder, sieve through silk, wrap in silk cloth. Form into a ball the size of a longan seed. Soak in water and wash, three to five times daily.

Boyi Gao (Nebula-Dispelling Ointment)
Prunus Persica Kernel (Ruiren, 蕤仁) (peeled), Moschus (Shexiang, 麝香) (4 fen, separately ground), Pearl (Zhenzhu, 珍珠) (1 qian, steamed in tofu), Amber (Hupo, 琥珀) (1 qian, separately ground), Stone Crab (Shixie, 石蟹) (1 qian, baked), Borneol (Piannao, 片脑) (5 fen, separately ground), Borax (Pengsha, 硼砂) (1 qian, separately ground), Blue Salt (Qingyan, 青盐) (8 fen, separately ground), White Stork Droppings (Baidingxiang, 白丁香) (5 fen, washed with water), Red Coral (Hongshanhü, 红珊瑚), Stone Swallow (Shiyàn, 石燕) (), Dripping Frankincense (Diluxiang, 滴乳香) (roasted), Bear Gallbladder (Xiondan, 熊胆) (lightly roasted dry), Cinnabar (Chensha, 辰砂), Dragon's Blood (Xuejie, 血竭), Gold Essence Stone (Jinjingshi, 金精石) (soaked in boiling water), Silver Essence Stone (Yinjingshi, 银精石) (soaked in boiling water, each 1 qian), Calcined Calamine (Luganshi, 炉甘石) (calcined and quenched seven times in Coptis decoction, use 5 or 7 qian), Nuo Sha (Naosha, 硇砂) (1 qian, transparent variety, baked wrapped in seven layers of paper and separately ground; add if nebula is thick, omit if none).
Grind all into fine powder, mix evenly. Store in a porcelain jar. Half is used for dry application, half is mixed with the following herbs to make a liquid drop.
Angelica Sinensis Tail (Dangguiwei, 当归尾), Rehmannia Glutinosa Root (Shengdihuang, 生地黄), Red Peony Root (Chibaishao, 赤白芍 - note: text says Chi Bai Shao, implying both Red and White Peony), Saposhnikovia Root (Fangfeng, 防风), Vitex Fruit (Manjingzi, 蔓荆子), Notopterygium Rhizome (Qianghuo, 羌活), Forsythia Fruit (Lianqiao, 连翘), Scutellaria Baicalensis Root (Huangqin, 黄芩), Mint Herb (Bohe, 薄荷).
Use 5 qian of each. Chop finely. Boil in two large cups of snow water or water collected in the twelfth lunar month in a stone vessel until reduced to one cup. Strain the residue. Add 3 liang of high-quality white honey. Boil gently over medium-high heat for three to four boils. Filter through a new silk bag and store in a porcelain jar. Mix with the previously prepared herbal powder. Seal with oil-paper. Rotate the container regularly and use drops as needed. This prescription remains effective even after eight or nine years of storage; it is a transmitted immortal formula.
