患者须平身正坐，令人以两手托住下颏，向脑后送上关窍，随用绢条兜颏于顶上，须避
风，外用天南星研末，姜汁调涂两颏，过一夜即上，次日当再服煎剂，用下方∶台党参、制
白术、白茯苓、制半夏各五钱，当归、僵蚕各二钱，天麻、陈皮各一钱，川芎、甘草各八分
，制附片六分，灯芯四十根，生姜三片，水煎服。
瓦松一枝，橄榄二个烧枯存性，加生姜汁、食盐少许，共捣极烂涂敷，甚效。
（即名翻唇疔）
昨有程姓妇，晚饭后嘴唇忽起疼痛，身发大寒大热，次早头面红肿，牙关紧闭，势甚险
恶，即内服煎剂，外用蛔虫洗净加冰片捣烂涂敷嘴唇，服药后肚腹大泻，嘴唇流出毒水，渐
渐肿消红退，数日全愈。惟鸡、鱼、羊肉、姜、椒辛热发物，煎炒浓味，概宜禁口。元参三
钱，生军四钱，黄芩二钱，牛蒡子二钱，角刺尖二钱，忍冬花三钱，白芷二钱，木通三钱，
麦冬（去心）三钱，酒洗全蝎尾八分，当归二钱，麻仁四钱，水煎服，肚腹泻后而愈。此近
日
凡患嘴唇生疔，即查照卷十一头面诸疔方内在大腿弯中如刮痧样，刮现紫筋，即用瓷针
刺破，挤去恶血，最为嘴唇疔疮救急捷妙之法。再以蛔虫加冰片捣烂敷之，即刻疮口流出毒
水，肿消痛止，神效之至。

将乌梅捣成泥状做成饼，塞满牙龈尽头处，促使张口流涎，随后随手擦去。

取瓦松一枝，橄榄二个烧枯保留药性，加入少许生姜汁和食盐，共同捣烂涂敷，效果很好。
生大黄三钱，丁香十粒，绿豆二钱，研细，用开水调匀敷于两足心。

昨日有一位姓程的妇女，晚饭后嘴唇突然起疼痛，身体出现严重寒热交替，次日清晨头面部红肿，牙关紧闭，病情非常险恶。立即内服煎剂，外用洗净的蛔虫加冰片捣烂涂敷嘴唇，服药后腹部大泻，嘴唇流出毒水，渐渐消肿退红，数日后完全痊愈。唯独鸡、鱼、羊肉、姜、椒等辛热发物，以及煎炒浓味食物，一概禁止食用。元参三钱，生大黄四钱，黄芩二钱，牛蒡子二钱，角刺尖二钱，忍冬花三钱，白芷二钱，木通三钱，麦冬（去心）三钱，酒洗全蝎尾八分，当归二钱，麻仁四钱，加水煎服，待腹泻后痊愈。这是近日凡患嘴唇生疔者，应查照卷十一头面诸疔方内在大腿弯中如刮痧样，刮出紫筋，即用瓷针刺破，挤去恶血，这最为嘴唇疔疮救急捷妙之法。再以蛔虫加冰片捣烂敷之，即刻疮口流出毒水，肿消痛止，神效之至。

Mix Pian Tang (Candied Sugar, specifically Guangtang) and Bala [White Beeswax], steam until melted, and apply to the affected area; it will heal immediately.
Grind Wumei [Mume Fruit] into a paste to form a cake, stuff it fully at the end of the gums to induce drooling from an open mouth, then wipe it away as it occurs.
The patient must sit upright with a straight body. An assistant should support the chin with both hands, pushing upwards towards the occiput joints. Then, secure the chin with a silk strip fixed to the top of the head. Avoid wind exposure. Externally, grind Tian Nan Xing [Arisaema Rhizome] into powder, mix with Jiang Zhi [Ginger Juice], and apply to both sides of the chin. After one night, proceed to the next step. On the following day, take another decoction using the following formula: Tai Dang Shen [Codonopsis Pilosula], Zhi Bai Zhu [Processed Atractylodes Macrocephala Rhizome], Bai Fu Ling [Poria], and Zhi Ban Xia [Processed Pinellia Tuber], each 5 qian; Dang Gui [Angelica Sinensis Root] and Jiang Can [Bombyx Batryticatus], each 2 qian; Tian Ma [Gastrodia Elata Rhizome] and Chen Pi [Citrus Reticulata Pericarpium], each 1 qian; Chuan Xiong [Ligusticum Chuanxiong Rhizome] and Gan Cao [Licorice Root], each 8 fen; Zhi Fu Pian [Processed Aconitum Carmichaelii Lateralis Radix Praeparata] 6 fen; Deng Xin [Juncus Effusus Stem] 40 strands; Sheng Jiang [Fresh Ginger Rhizome] 3 slices. Decoct in water and take orally.
Take one branch of Wa Song [Sedum Sarmentosum], burn two Gan Lan [Canarium Album Seeds] until charred but retaining their medicinal properties, add a small amount of Sheng Jiang Zhi [Ginger Juice] and Shi Yan [Rock Salt], pound them extremely fine, and apply as a poultice; this is very effective.
Sheng Da Huang [Rhubarb Radix et Rhizoma] 3 qian, Ding Xiang [Caryophylli Flos] 10 grains, Lu Dou [Vigna Angularis Seed] 2 qian. Grind into fine powder, mix with boiling water, and apply to the soles of both feet.
(This condition is also named Fan Chun Ding [Everted Lip Carbuncle].)
Yesterday, a surnamed Cheng woman suddenly experienced pain in her lips after dinner, accompanied by severe chills and high fever. The next morning, her head and face became swollen and red, and her jaw was locked. The condition was perilous. Immediately, she took an internal decoction and applied externally a mixture of washed Ascarids [Ascaris lumbricoides] pounded with Bing Pian [Borneolum Syntheticum] to her lips. After taking the medicine, she suffered severe diarrhea, and toxic fluid drained from her lips. Gradually, the swelling subsided and redness faded, leading to complete recovery within several days. She must strictly avoid chicken, fish, mutton, ginger, pepper, and other spicy, hot, or "fa wu" (stimulating/triggering) foods, as well as fried and strongly flavored dishes. Yuan Shen [Scrophulariae Radix] 3 qian, Sheng Jun [Raw Rhubarb Radix et Rhizoma] 4 qian, Huang Qin [Scutellariae Radix] 2 qian, Niu Bang Zi [Arctii Fructus] 2 qian, Jiao Ci Jian [Spina Gleditsiae] 2 qian, Ren Dong Hua [Lonicerae Japonicae Flos] 3 qian, Bai Zhi [Angelicae Dahuricae Radix] 2 qian, Mu Tong [Akebiae Caulis] 3 qian, Mai Dong [Ophiopogonis Radix] (remove heart) 3 qian, Quan Xie Wei [Scorpio Tail] wine-washed 8 fen, Dang Gui [Angelica Sinensis Root] 2 qian, Ma Ren [Semen Cannabis] 4 qian. Decoct in water and take orally; recovery follows after diarrhea. For recent cases of lip carbuncles, refer to the formulas for various facial carbuncles in Volume 11. Scrape the popliteal fossa (inner knee bend) like gua sha until purple veins appear, then puncture with a porcelain needle and squeeze out the foul blood. This is the most urgent and ingenious method for saving lives in lip carbuncles. Subsequently, apply a poultice of Ascarids mixed with Bing Pian [Borneolum Syntheticum]; toxic fluid will immediately drain from the wound, swelling will subside, and pain will cease, demonstrating miraculous efficacy.
