Take half boiling water and half raw cold water mixed together, named Yin-Yang Water (Yin Yang Shui). Add two qian of raw alum powder, mix well, and take orally.
Another prescription: Stir-fry a large pinch of table salt until yellowish, add one zhong of child's urine, dilute with warm water, and take orally. After a short while, vomiting or diarrhea will occur, leading to recovery.
These two prescriptions treat Gan Huoluan (Dry Cholera), characterized by the inability to vomit or defecate, severe abdominal cramping pain, profuse cold sweat bordering on collapse. They are remarkably effective.
Additionally, for Gan Huoluan abdominal pain: Use one liang of table salt and one qian of Tso Jao (Gleditsia Sinensis Fruit). Decoct in water and take orally. Vomiting will ensue, resulting in recovery.
Furthermore, for cases of Huoluan where the patient is in extreme distress and unconscious: Urgently prick the dorsal side of the ten fingertips, half cun away from the nail edge, to release purple blood. The patient will regain consciousness.
Another prescription: Decoct Qian Li Ma (Old Broken Straw Sandals) in water and take orally. Stimulate the throat with fingers to induce vomiting. Recovery occurs upon vomiting. This restores Stomach Qi and cures Huoluan.
Additionally, use three to four liang of Wu Zhu Yu (Evodiae Fructus) and several liang of table salt, stir-fried until hot. Wrap in cloth and apply as a hot compress to the area below the umbilicus. Extremely effective. Alternatively, use the cloth originally used by the patient to wrap their feet, or wash old socks, settle the water to remove mud and impurities, and drink the supernatant. This is also miraculously effective. These are all empirically verified excellent prescriptions, valued for their simplicity and efficacy.
For Huoluan accompanied by abdominal pain and continuous diarrhea: Use five qian each of Huo Xiang Ye (Agastache Leaf) and Guang Chen Pi (Citrus Reticulata Peel). Decoct in water and take orally.
Another prescription: Take Zhen Lv Dou Fen (True Mung Bean Powder) with a small amount of white sugar.
Additionally, take forty-nine grains of Hu Jiao (Piperis Longi Fructus) and forty-nine grains of Lv Dou (Mung Bean), grind them evenly, and take one qian mixed with water decocted from Mu Gua (Chaenomeles Speciosa Fruit).
Additionally, cut Qian Fo Shou (Finger Citron) into pieces, decoct in water, and drink.
Additionally, crush Jiu Cai (Chinese Chives) to obtain one cup of juice, heat it in a double boiler until warm, and take orally.
Additionally, take one handful of Bai Bian Dou Ye (Lablab Purpureus Leaf), crush it raw, add a small amount of vinegar, squeeze out the juice, and take orally. Alternatively, grind Bai Bian Dou (Lablab Seed) into powder, mix with vinegar, and take orally. This is particularly effective for Summer-heat Huoluan with incessant vomiting and diarrhea.
Additionally, drink one bowl of freshly drawn well water. Simultaneously, immerse both feet in a basin of water. Vomiting and diarrhea will stop immediately. Avoid consuming hot-natured foods.
Additionally, for severe abdominal pain in Huoluan: Stir-fry table salt until hot. Divide into two cloth bags. Apply one bag to press and warm the chest, heart, and abdomen; apply the other to the back, legs, hands, and feet. This method is extremely ingenious.
Additionally, grind Zao Jiao (Gleditsia Sinensis Fruit) into an extremely fine powder and insufflate it into the nose. Alternatively, use Wen Bi Dan (Nasal Snuff) or Sha Yao (Sha Medicine). Sneezing will occur, and symptoms will cease.
Additionally, select a clean area of yellow earth. Dig a pit three to four chi deep. Fill with one bucket of freshly drawn water. Stir vigorously with a stick until muddy. Scoop up the mixture of mud and water. Allow it to settle, then drink the clarified liquid. This is named Di Jiang Shui (Earth Slurry Water). It detoxifies upon ingestion and is effective against all types of poisoning. Extremely effective.
For Huoluan with Zhuan Jin (Muscle Spasm/Cramp), abdominal distension and pain, and cold extremities: Crush Da Suan (Garlic Bulb) and apply to the sole of the foot (Yongquan point area). Regarding the Chao Yan Yi Fa (Stir-fried Salt Hot Compress Method): The aforementioned prescriptions using Wu Zhu Yu stir-fried with salt applied to the lower abdomen are all miraculously effective.
Additionally, take one liang of Mu Gua (Chaenomeles Speciosa Fruit), decoct in water, and take orally. Simultaneously, prepare a strong decoction of Mu Gua, soak a green cloth in it, and wrap the feet.
If leg spasms extend upward into the abdomen: Take two qian of Mu Gua, one qian of Wu Zhu Yu, and five fen of table salt. Decoct in water and take orally.
Additionally, take approximately two liang of Zhang Nao (Borneolum Syntheticum). Wrap a large piece in cloth, soak thoroughly in Bai Jiu (Baijiu/Liquor). Rub downwards along the spine from the upper back to the Weili (tailbone) area dozens of times. Recovery ensues.
For Huoluan with vomiting/diarrhea, dizziness, blurred vision, and spasm/abdominal pain: Take Ba Cao Shuang (Soot from Cooking Pot Bottom) [which is soot from burning straw roofs] and Zao Gui Yan Mei (Soot from Kitchen Cabinet) each five fen. These two ingredients...
Additionally, chew a clove of garlic until mashed, swallow with cool water.
Additionally, burn Bai Ma Fen (White Horse Manure) to ash while preserving its medicinal properties, grind into powder (five qian). Mix with five fen of fresh yellow earth, blend with warm water, and take orally.
Additionally, take one old small comb, burn to ash, grind into powder, blend with warm water, and take orally.
