Xia Bei Fa (carbuncle occurring on the lower back) arises in the area between the two kidneys, a region governed by the Du Mai (Conception Vessel of the Back) and Taiyang Bladder Meridian. The pathogenic factor originates from the Heart Meridian and the toxins of the Five Zang Organs. Due to liver heat accumulation affecting the Spleen, combined with excessive consumption of fried and roasted foods and sexual excess, this leads to the depletion of Kidney Water and exhaustion of Spleen Qi, thereby generating this toxic sore. Treatment should first tonify the Kidney and regulate the Spleen. Initially, administer Ba Wei Bu Shen Di Huang Tang (Eight-Ingredient Decoction for Tonifying the Kidney and Replenishing Earth) for three to four doses. Subsequently, combine it with Bai Du Liu Qi Yin (Sixteen-Ingredient Decoction for Resolving Toxins and Regulating Qi). Finally, employ methods to drain pus and generate flesh to allow natural healing. Do not perform surgical incision; exercise utmost caution.
