The treatment principle is the same as above. It also treats middle jiao cold, indigestion of food, acid regurgitation, abdominal distension after eating, and abdominal fullness with vomiting and reflux.
Renshen (Ginseng Radix), Baizhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma), Ganjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma), Gancao (Licorice Root), Qingpi (Bitter Orange Peel), Chenpi (Tangerine Peel) (equal parts).
Crush the above herbs into a powder. Take four qian per dose, add one and a half zhan of water, decoct until seven-tenths remains, strain, and drink. If constipation occurs, add two pieces of Dahuang (Rhubarb Root) the size of chess pieces.
The patient experiences fullness in the epigastrium, immediate vomiting upon ingestion of food, and hematemesis (vomiting blood mixed with food). This is termed "Blood Vomiting." It is caused by the accumulation of stagnant cold blood gathering at the stomach opening.
It treats conditions arising from concurrent worry and anger, where qi attacks and causes blood to overflow, stagnating in the esophagus/stomach, accompanied by belching with a bloody odor and vomiting of food and drink; as well as chronic cold in the Zhongwan region during pregnancy, where cold blood invades the spleen, leading to aversion to the smell of food. This condition is named "Ezu" (Morning Sickness/Obstruction due to Cold).
Banxia (Pinellia Tuber) (three liang, washed ten times with boiling water), Fuling (Poria), Shudihuang (Prepared Rehmannia Root) (each one liang eight qian), Jupi (Tangerine Peel), Xixin (Asarum Root), Renshen (Ginseng Radix), Shaoyao (Peony Root), Chuanxiong (Ligusticum Rhizome), Xuanfuhua (Inula Flower), Jiegeng (Platycodon Root), Gancao (Licorice Root, roasted) (each one liang two qian).
Crush the above herbs into a powder. Take four qian per dose, add two zhan of water and seven slices of fresh ginger, decoct until seven-tenths remains, strain, and take on an empty stomach. If there is external heat causing irritability, thirst, or mouth ulcers, remove Jupi and Xixin, and add Qianhu (Peucedani Radix) and Zhimu (Anemarrhenae Rhizome). If there is intestinal cold with diarrhea, remove Dihuang and add Guixin (Cinnamon Twig) stir-fried. If there is deficiency-heat in the stomach with constipation and dysuria, remove Dihuang and add Dahuang (Rhubarb Root) one liang eight qian and Huangqin (Scutellaria Root) six qian.
It treats deficiency and damage of the Sanjiao (Triple Burner), whether manifesting upper or lower, including hematochezia, hematemesis, and spitting of blood. These all originate from the Sanjiao, whether triggered by heat injury or alcohol consumption, and this formula governs them all.
Danggui (Angelica Sinensis Root), Ganjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma), Shudihuang (Prepared Rehmannia Root), Bopi (Phellodendri Cortex), Xiaoji (Cirsii Herba), Lingyangjiao (Saiga Antelope Horn, sliced), Ejiao (Donkey-hide Gelatin, fried) (each three qian three fen), Baizhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma), Shaoyao (Peony Root) (each half liang), Huangqin (Scutellaria Root), Gancao (Licorice Root, roasted) (each one fen).
Crush the above herbs into a powder. Take three qian per dose, add two zhan of water and a piece of Zhuru (Bamboo Shavings) the size of a finger, decoct until eight-tenths remains, strain, then add Fulonggan (Stove Earth) half a qian bi, Toufa Hui (Ash of Human Hair) half a qian bi, and Puhuang (Typha Pollen) half a qian bi. Decoct again until seven-tenths remains, and take at any time without restriction.
