Xiaoban Qingdai Yin (Eliminate Macules Cyan Blue Drink): Treats pathogenic heat transmitting to the interior, resulting in interior excess and exterior deficiency, blood-heat stagnating without dispersing, and hot qi attacking the skin causing macules. Mild cases resemble rashes; severe cases resemble brocade patterns; extremely severe cases cause skin ulceration. This may occur if the condition was originally Yang-pattern but hot herbs were mistakenly administered, or if purgation should have been used but wasn't, or if pathogens remained unresolved after purgation. In such cases, sweating is contraindicated; forcing sweat to open the pores will worsen the macule ulceration. However, early-stage macules resemble mosquito bites. Macules typically appear on the chest and abdomen, whereas mosquito bites are only found on the hands and feet. If the pulse is surging and large, the patient is confused, and the color changes from red to crimson, it is macules. If the pulse is not surging and large, the patient is calm, and the color changes from red to yellow, it is a mosquito bite. If there is spontaneous diarrhea, oppression and shortness of breath, dry stool impaction, resembling fruit crusts, even Lu Yi (Bian Que reborn) could not apply his skill. Generally, if symptoms persist after sweating and purging, accompanied by cold feet, deafness, irritability, cough, and vomiting, these are signs of macule eruption.
