The *Suwen: Miao Ci Lun* (Treatise on Miraculous Puncture in the Plain Questions) states: If a person falls from a height, evil blood (stagnant blood) remains inside, causing abdominal fullness and distension, and inability to pass stool or urine. One should first drink purgative medicines. For injuries above or jue (reversal) conditions, treat each with one point; bleeding stops immediately upon seeing blood. Prick the left side for right-sided lesions, and the right side for left-sided lesions.
The *Ling Shu Jing: Han Re Bing Lun* (Treatise on Cold and Heat Diseases in the Spiritual Pivot) states: The body suffers injury, with excessive blood loss, or contraction of wind-cold pathogens. If there is a fall from height, resulting in flaccidity and weakness of the four limbs that cannot be controlled, this condition is named "Ti Duo" (Body Languor). Treat by selecting the "San Jie Jiao" (Three Intersecting Connections) below the umbilicus. The "San Jie Jiao" refers to the intersection of the Yangming (Stomach) and Taiyin (Spleen) meridians, specifically the Guanyuan (CV 4) acupoint, located three cun below the umbilicus.
The *Ling Shu Jing: Jue Bing Lun* (Treatise on Jue Diseases in the Spiritual Pivot) states: Headache should not be treated at [missing text], but if caused by being struck or fallen, with evil blood remaining inside and pain persisting, lateral needling may be used; distant points should not be selected.
The *Ling Shu Jing: Xie Qi Zang Fu Bing Xing Pian* (Chapter on Pathogenic Factors and Manifestations of Zang-Fu Diseases in the Spiritual Pivot) states: If there is a fall from height, evil blood remains inside. If there is great anger, qi ascends instead of descending, accumulating under the hypochondrium, thereby injuring the Liver. The method requires first guiding the flow of angry qi to prevent accumulation in the Liver, so the Liver can remain uninjured. Then, drink purgative medicines to break up the evil blood, so that no stagnant blood remains under the hypochondrium. It also states: If there is being struck or beaten, or engaging in sexual intercourse after intoxication, sweating while exposed to wind, the Spleen will be injured.
The *Suwen: Mai Yao Jing Wei Lun* (Treatise on the Essence and Subtleties of Pulse Diagnosis in the Plain Questions) states: If the Liver pulse is firm and long, but the complexion is not green, it indicates a fall injury. If due to blood stagnating under the hypochondrium, it causes wheezing and counterflow qi (asthma/shortness of breath).
The *Jin Gui Yao Lue* (Essential Prescriptions of the Golden Cabinet) states: If the Cun Kou (radial artery) pulse is floating, faint, and choppy, it indicates blood loss, such as from excessive sweating. If there is no sweating, and there are sores on the body, it is due to blood loss from knife or axe wounds. It further discusses: If the Liver pulse is firm and the color does not change, there must have been a striking or falling incident. Because muscles were injured by impact, evil blood inevitably stays under the hypochondrium, accompanied by vomiting and counterflow qi. According to the meridians, needle Ran Gu (KI 2), foot dorsum points, or points near the nails (such as Dadun, LR 1) to induce bleeding. Or drink purgative medicines to promote the movement of evil blood, and the disease will heal itself. If the pulse is floating, faint, and choppy, it indicates excessive blood loss. According to the meridians, moxa should be applied to the San Jie Jiao Guanyuan (CV 4) acupoint, or large tonifying formulas for qi and blood should be drunk to regulate the condition, and the disease will resolve.
