Tai Du Chuang Jie (Fetal Toxin Sores and Scabies) arises from inheriting fetal heat, or from toxins in the pregnant mother's diet and fire caused by emotional stagnation. Initially resembling dry tinea, it later presents with dripping pus and water, or forms crusts in patches. If it occurs on both ears and eyebrows, or between the hairlines before and behind the ears, it belongs to the Hand Shaoyang Channel. If it occurs on the four limbs, it belongs to the Spleen and Stomach Channels. If it occurs on the two flanks, it belongs to the Liver Channel. If it occurs on the forehead, it belongs to the Heart Channel. If it occurs on the back of the head, it belongs to the Bladder Channel. If it occurs on the chin and cheeks, it belongs to the Kidney Channel. Treatment should be adjusted according to the victory and defeat of the five Zang organs governed by each channel, as well as the transmission caused by the wet nurse's consumption of rich flavors and anger. One must not thoroughly use pills such as Huadu Wan (Detoxification Pill) or Xijiao Wan (Rhinoceros Horn Pill). If Yuan Qi (Original Qi) is further injured and transforms into other symptoms, it becomes particularly difficult to treat.
A child suffered all over the body; after taking Niuhuang Jiedu Wan (Calculus Bovis Detoxification Pill), he recovered completely. Only the head formed crusts, itching and weeping fluid; this was due to inheriting deficiency-heat of the Kidney Channel. He recovered using Dihuang Wan (Rehmannia Pill) and Jiedu San (Detoxification Powder).
A child suffered between the hairline, with itching. Diagnosis revealed liver fire in the mother. Using Jiawei Xiaoyao San (Modified Free and Easy Wanderer Powder) added with Lulü (Euphorbiae Humifusae Herba), combined with Niuhuang Jiedu Wan and Jiedu San, he recovered. (Jiedu San is also known as Tuodu San).
A child suffered at the left ear hairline, gradually spreading to the head with itching. This was due to inheriting heat-toxin of the Liver and Gallbladder channels. Using Chaihu Qinggan San (Bupleurum Liver-Clearing Powder), taken by both mother and child, he recovered. Later, failing to avoid rich foods, the condition recurred with dripping pus and redness on the right cheek, indicating heat in the Stomach Channel. First, Qingwei San (Stomach-Clearing Powder) was used, followed by Chaihu Qinggan San to treat liver fire, taken by both mother and child. Additionally, Lifxiao San (Highly Effective Powder) and Niuhuang Jiedu Wan were used, leading to recovery.
A child suffered on both eyebrows, spreading to the whole body, with lesions on the four limbs, dripping pus, and alternating chills and fever. This belonged to accumulated heat in the Liver and Spleen. Using Qingwei San, Xiaochaihu Tang (Minor Bupleurum Decoction), and Lifxiao San, he recovered. Later, recurrence between the eyebrows, frequent blinking of both eyes, and turbid white urine were treated with Siwei Fei'er Wan (Four-Ingredient Child-Nourishing Pill) and Jiwei Lushui Wan (Nine-Ingredient Aloe Pill), leading to recovery.
A child suffered this disease because the wet nurse failed to regulate emotions and avoid rich flavors. It persisted for a long time. The mother took Qingwei San and Xiaoyao San; the child took Niuhuang Jiedu Wan. After recovery, the child ate sweet foods, causing sores on the eyebrows, pain, itching, and eye blinking. Siwei Fei'er Wan was used as the main prescription, assisted by Jiawei Xiaoyao San and Qingwei San, leading to recovery.
A child suffered all over the body, especially on the two flanks. The child took Siwei Fei'er Wan and Lifxiao San; the mother took Chaihu Zhizi San (Bupleurum Gardenia Powder) and Jiawei Xiaoyao San, leading to recovery.
