一省掾，背项常有痤疖，愈而复生。戴人曰∶太阳血有余也。先令涌泄之，次于
针出紫血，病更不复作也。
泽洲李继之，忽病牙痛，皱眉不语。栾景先见之曰∶何不药也？曰∶无牙痛药？曰∶
曾记张戴人云∶阳明经热有余也，宜大下之。乃付舟车丸七十粒。服毕，遇数知交留饮，
强饮热酒数杯，药为热酒所发，尽吐之，吐毕而痛止。李大笑曰∶戴人神仙也！不三、五日
又痛，再服前药百余粒，大下数行乃愈。
戴人过息城，一男子病淋。戴人令顿食咸鱼。少顷大渴。戴人令恣意饮水，然后
以药治淋，立通。淋者无水，故涩也。
赵平尚家一男子，年二十余岁，病口中气出，臭如发厕，虽亲戚莫肯与对语。戴
人曰∶肺金本主腥，金为火所炼，火主焦臭，故如是也。久则成腐，腐者肾也。此极热则
反兼水化也。病在上，宜涌之。先以茶调散涌，而去其七分；夜用舟车丸、浚川散，下五
、七行，比旦而臭断。呜呼！人有病口臭而终其老者，世讹以为肺系偏，而与胃相通，故臭。妄论也！
汝南司侯李审言，因劳役王事，饮水坐湿地，乃湿气下行，流入脬囊，大肿，痛
不可忍。以金铃、川楝子等药不效，求治于戴人。曰∶可服泄水丸。审言惑之。又数日，痛
不可堪，竟从戴人。先以舟车丸、浚川散，下青绿沫十余行，痛止；次服茴香丸、五苓以调之
，三日而肿退，至老更不作。夫疝者，乃肝经也，下青沫者，肝之色也。
有一位省府的属官，背部和颈部经常长痤疮和疖子，好了之后又复发。张从正（戴人）说：这是太阳经血分有余热所致。先让他使用涌吐法祛邪，接着用针刺放出紫黑色的瘀血，病就不再复发了。
泽洲的李继之，突然患牙痛，皱着眉头不说话。栾景先见到他问：为什么不吃药？李继之说：没有治牙痛的药。栾景先说：你难道不记得张戴人说过吗：阳明经热邪有余，应当用峻下法治疗。于是给他服用了七十粒舟车丸。服药完毕后，遇到几位知心好友留他饮酒，强行劝饮了几杯热酒，药力被热酒激发，全部呕吐出来，吐完后疼痛停止。李继之大笑着说：戴人是神仙啊！过了三、五天疼痛又发作，再次服用之前的药物一百多粒，大便泻下数次后才痊愈。
张从正经过息城时，有一个男子患淋证。张从正让他立刻吃咸鱼。过了一会儿，他感到极度口渴。张从正让他尽情喝水，然后用药物治疗淋证，小便立即通畅。淋证是因为体内无水（津液不足或气化不利），所以排尿涩滞。
赵平尚家有一个男子，二十多岁，患病后口中呼出的气臭得像厕所一样，即使是亲戚也不愿和他对话。张从正说：肺金本味为腥，金被火炼，火主焦臭，所以气味如此。时间久了会腐烂，腐属于肾。这是极热导致反兼水化（真热假寒/热极似水的病理变化）。病位在上，应当使用涌吐法。先用茶调散进行涌吐，去除了七分的病邪；晚上用舟车丸、浚川散攻下，排便五到七次，到了第二天早晨口臭就断绝了。唉！有人患有口臭却终身未死，世人错误地认为是肺系偏斜与胃相通，所以有臭味。这是荒谬的论断！
汝南的司侯李审言，因为劳累公务，饮水并坐在潮湿的地方，导致湿气下行，流入膀胱囊，肿胀严重，疼痛难以忍受。使用金铃子、川楝子等药物治疗无效，向张从正求治。张从正说：可以服用泄水丸。李审言对此感到疑惑。几天后，疼痛更加难以忍受，最终听从张从正的治疗。先用舟车丸、浚川散攻下，排出青绿色的粘液十余次，疼痛停止；接着服用茴香丸、五苓散来调理，三天后肿胀消退，直到老死也没有再复发。所谓疝气，属于肝经病变，排出青绿色粘液，是肝的颜色表现。
A provincial official frequently suffered from acne and boils on his back and neck, which healed only to recur. Zhang Congzheng (Dai Ren) stated: This is an excess of blood heat in the Taiyang (Greater Yang) channel. He first instructed him to undergo emesis (induced vomiting) to expel pathogens, followed by acupuncture to release purple-black stagnant blood, after which the disease did not recur.
Li Jizhi from Zezhou suddenly suffered from toothache, frowning and remaining silent. Luan Jingxian saw him and asked: Why do you not take medicine? Li replied: I have no medicine for toothache. Luan said: Do you not recall what Zhang Dai Ren said? Heat excess in the Yangming (Bright Yang) channel should be treated with severe purgation. Consequently, he was given 70 pills of Zhouche Wan (Boat Cart Pill). After finishing the medication, he was invited by several close friends to drink, and forced to consume several cups of hot wine. The medicinal effect was triggered by the hot wine, resulting in complete vomiting; upon completion of vomiting, the pain ceased. Li laughed loudly and said: Dai Ren is a divine immortal! Three or five days later, the pain returned. He took over a hundred pills of the previous medicine, defecated several times heavily, and then recovered.
When Dai Ren passed through Xicheng, a man suffered from Lin syndrome (dysuria/painful urinary frequency). Dai Ren ordered him to eat salted fish immediately. Shortly after, the man felt extreme thirst. Dai Ren then allowed him to drink water freely, and subsequently treated the Lin syndrome with medicine, resulting in immediate urination. Lin syndrome occurs due to a lack of fluids (or impaired fluid metabolism), causing涩 (astringency/stagnation) in urination.
A man in the household of Zhao Pingshang, aged over twenty, suffered from halitosis so foul that it resembled a toilet, such that even relatives refused to speak with him. Dai Ren said: The Lung Metal naturally has a fishy smell; when Metal is refined by Fire, and Fire governs scorched odors, the result is such. Over time, it becomes putrid, which relates to the Kidney. This is an extreme heat condition manifesting as a reverse transformation into Water characteristics (true heat mimicking cold/water pathology). Since the disease is located above, emesis is indicated. First, Chetiao San (Tea Regulation Powder) was used to induce emesis, eliminating seven-tenths of the pathogen; at night, Zhouche Wan (Boat Cart Pill) and Xunchuan San (River Clearing Powder) were administered to purge, resulting in five to seven bowel movements. By morning, the bad breath had completely ceased. Alas! Some people suffer from halitosis throughout their lives without dying; the world erroneously attributes this to a deviation of the Lung system connecting with the Stomach, thus causing odor. This is a false discussion!
Li Shenyán, a magistrate from Runan, due to laborious official duties, drank water while sitting on wet ground. Consequently, dampness descended and flowed into the bladder sac, causing severe swelling and unbearable pain. Treatment with Jinlingzi (Violet Fruit) and Chuanlianzi (Szechwan Chinaberry Fruit) was ineffective, so he sought treatment from Dai Ren. Dai Ren said: You may take Xieshui Wan (Water Draining Pill). Li was confused by this suggestion. A few days later, the pain became intolerable, and he finally submitted to Dai Ren's treatment. First, Zhouche Wan (Boat Cart Pill) and Xunchuan San (River Clearing Powder) were used to purge, discharging more than ten stools of greenish-yellow mucus, after which the pain stopped; subsequently, Huixiang Wan (Fennel Pill) and Wuling San (Five-Ling Powder) were taken to regulate the body. Within three days, the swelling subsided, and the condition never recurred until old age. Shan disease (hernia/genital disorders) belongs to the Liver channel; the discharge of greenish mucus reflects the color of the Liver.
