During the practice of exercises, press the tip of the tongue against the upper palate. After prolonged licking, saliva will be generated. Once saliva is produced, rinse the mouth with it, then swallow one-quarter and retain the remaining three-quarters, waiting for the internal fire to rise so that it may moisten the lower body. If done as usual, when the mouth is full of rinsed saliva, swallow it in three gulps, letting it fall down with a sound like tears, without the need to deliberately retain it.
If the body is not rubbed or massaged, Qi (vital energy) and blood circulation will not be smooth. In the early morning, rub both hands until they are hot, then wipe the head, face, Jiaji points (acupoints along the spine), and kidney regions until they feel extremely hot. This will naturally make the whole body feel comfortable and bring many benefits.
After eating, rub both hands until they are hot, then massage the spleen and stomach area. Next, clench both hands into fists, hold them firmly at the chest, swing horizontally across the waist seven times, and rotate the abdomen left and right seven times each. After a short while, the stomach will transport nutrients and the food will digest.
If the hands do not move, the limbs will become stiff and uncoordinated. Every morning, twist and interlock the finger joints of the left and right hands, without limiting the number of repetitions. It is even better to perform this twisting motion in warm water, which can prevent hand tremors in the elderly. Do this daily without interruption.
If the feet do not move, leg strength will weaken. When walking, step lightly as if kicking a ball. By walking several hundred steps frequently in this manner, leg strength will remain robust forever.
If sweat does not disperse, pathogenic factors cannot exit, and healthy Qi cannot support the body, making it difficult for the disease to respond to treatment. In cases of diseases such as madness, consumption (tuberculosis), gu distension, carbuncles, or dysphagia, profuse sweating for three days is necessary for effectiveness.
To treat pain caused by deficiency-cold of the small intestine, sit upright, rub the Dantian point (Sea of Qi) with both hands, hold the breath and practice exercise, guiding Qi for forty-nine cycles of inhalation/exhalation.
If the kidneys do not move, essence (Jing) is preserved; if the body does not move, Qi is preserved; if the mind does not move, spirit (Shen) is preserved. With these three circles complete and three preservations achieved, immortality is naturally attained.
When essence is full, there is no desire for sexual activity; when Qi is full, there is no desire for food; when Shen is full, there is no desire for sleep.
