Qianshi (Autumn Stone) is not made from the common metals, stones, plant ashes, frost, silver, lead, or cinnabar found in the human world. It is actually the supreme treasure for returning to the primordial state (Huan Yuan), produced within the human form and originating from the Zang-Fu organs.
Prescription Principles:
According to the Daoist Canon and referenced in the Materia Medica, it is called "Golden Elixir" (Jin Dan), the foremost of all medicines, emerging from nature, born from the Supreme Ultimate (Tai Ji), and produced from the Pre-heavenly state. No one in the world knows it, and ghosts cannot fathom it. It distinguishes male and female within the Five Elements (Wu Xing) and inherits Yin and Yang within the Four Symbols (Si Xiang). By establishing the furnace and tripod, supplementing Kan (Water/Kidney) and filling Li (Fire/Heart), saliva and fluids are generated in the Hua Chi (a term referring to the mouth/cavity where fluids gather). The meridians flow freely through the water pathways. Its body follows the Way of Qian (Heaven) and manifests clearly; it responds to the Way of Kun (Earth) with restraint. Taking this supreme medicine brings peace to Qi, penetrates the Primordial Yang, returns it to the four limbs, harmonizes them, and circulates them within the central palace. Day and night, Water and Fire are refined and cooked until they condense into a single substance called "Golden Crystal." When the furnace is opened, purple powder condenses like frost; when the tripod rises, yellow sprouts shine brightly. If Kan's intent is dense, Water and Fire are cooked at the "Three Whites"; if Li's emotion is relaxed, the fire dragon circulates at midnight. Heaven and Earth intersect to descend sweet dew; all moving beings are transformed by a single Qi. This single Qi is the master of the heavenly and earthly return elixir, the head of the Three Powers, and the essence of spirituality. Thus, the "Golden Fluid Great Return Elixir" is formed.
Those who discuss Qianshi today do not distinguish Yin and Yang, do not understand the fire timing (Huo Hou), and do not clarify purity and turbidity. They recklessly take mixed substances as the head of the great elixir, making it difficult to follow the true Dao. In ancient times, the Yellow Emperor manipulated Long and Hu to beautify Jin Hua; Xuanyuan cast nine tripods named "White Snow"; Master Mao refined soul and spirit for the Prince of Huainan, distinguishing Kan and Li and naming it Qianshi. These ancient sages took Qianshi to maintain their jade-like bodies and achieve longevity. They collected Yin and Yang to nourish muscles and bones, cooked Yang soul to connect life and destiny, and refined Yin essence to achieve ascension. It is the medicinal pill of immortals and the root of ingestion. Relying on the Mysterious Female (Xuan Pin, referring to the source of life) to form the elixir, achieving mutual interaction of Water and Fire. Heavenly soul and earthly essence return to the Wu-Yi furnace; rabbit marrow and crowdan are hidden within the Qian-Kun tripod. This is an elixis that generates substance from non-substance, a great medicine for returning to the primordial state. South perches at fixed hours, setting images in the void; North discusses time, extracting essences in vessels. Divine dragons take clams, discussing immortality according to seasons; rabbits spit essence, descending naturally at the beginning of Zi hour. This is the method passed down orally and mentally by sages: taking sweet dew and pairing it with white stone, establishing Pre-heavenly Qi and chaotic primordial essence.
Taking Qianshi reduces pathogenic fire, generates fluids, disperses stagnant Qi, resolves stubborn phlegm, regulates Spleen and strengthens Stomach, stops coughs, and refreshes the spirit. Its taste is salty and its nature moist; its property is warm but not dry. It greatly assists Primordial Yang, effectively tonifying deficiency and exhaustion. It also treats the nine types of consumption (Lao), burns away the Three Corpses (San Shi, parasites causing illness), has the merit of restoring souls and stabilizing spirits, and possesses the power to strengthen the body and lighten the frame. It aids Yang to transform bones and can revive the dead. This Qianshi, regardless of the hundred diseases, eliminates them upon ingestion. Unlike external elixirs made from solid substances like Cinnabar (Zhusha) and Mercury (Shuiyin), which remain in the five viscera and shorten lifespan when ingested, this medicine steals the creation of Heaven and Earth, absorbs the essence of Sun and Moon, manipulates Yin and Yang to drain Li and Kan, advances through nine transformations to become White Snow. The Great Dao is infinite; how can ordinary people know it?
The Prince of Huainan said: "At the initial Nine, the Hidden Dragon acts; simultaneously handling black to extract white, creating something from nothing, forming the water army from Pre-heavenly Qi, while Fire prepares to depart." Xuanyuan said: "During sexual practices, there must be restraint; it should correspond to the fifteenth day, mid-autumn moment. Soul goes to the void, containing a bright round Qi essence, while Yin essence is released." The Yellow Emperor said: "Fragrance arises from stench; sweetness comes from bitterness." Master Mao said: "What are immortals? Infinite beauty under trees, golden flowers." From this, we see that Qianshi has great merit for humanity. This Qianshi should be taken frequently. With long-term use, it transmits through meridians, enters Heart to nourish blood, enters Liver to brighten eyes, enters Spleen to grow flesh, and enters Kidney to generate essence. Ingestion yields immediate effects, being supremely sacred and spiritual, leading over time to the Dao of longevity. Alas, how beautiful!
