Danggui (Radix Angelicae Sinensis), Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix), Huanglian (Coptidis Rhizoma) (each 1 qian); Tonglü (Chalcanthite), Pixa (Mirabilitum), Baifan (Alumen) (each 7 fen).
Place the above herbs in a silk bag, decoct in water to wash the eyes; this will greatly improve vision and clear heat from the eyes.

Use Wanggua (Trichosanthes cucumerina fruit), remove the pulp, insert Pixa (Mirabilitum) inside, and pickle overnight. Wait for the mirabilite to exude, then use it to wash the eyes; this will greatly improve vision.

[Formula for Blackening Hair and Strengthening Teeth]
Treats wind-heat of the Stomach meridian causing tooth or gum swelling and pain, pain radiating to the head, or facial heat. This formula has been highly effective in repeated use.
Dangguishen (Radix Angelicae Sinensis, soaked in wine), Huanglian (Coptidis Rhizoma), Shengdi (Rehmanniae Radix Praeparata, washed with warm wine) (each 1 qian); Shengma ( Cimicifugae Rhizoma) (2 qian); Mudanpi (Moutan Cortex, pith removed) (1.5 qian); Shigao (Gypsum Fibrosum) (2 qian).
Decoct in water and take shortly after meals.

Treats persistent pain from wind-worm toothache.
Yuanhua (Genkwa Flos), Xiaomai (Tritici Fructus), Xixin (Asari Radix et Rhizoma), Chuanjiao (Zanthoxyli Pericarpium), Fengfang (Vespa Nidus), Yanshi (Sal) (each 1 qian).
Decoct in water, rinse the mouth, do not swallow; extremely effective.

Treats toothache, gum swelling, and loose teeth; frequent rinsing strengthens the teeth.
Use Baijili (Tribuli Fructus), quantity unregulated, remove spines and grind into coarse powder. Take 5 qian each time, add half a bowl of light fermented grain water, decoct until reduced to about 70-80%, strain, add a pinch of fried salt powder, and rinse frequently while hot. There are no other contraindications. Although the number of herbs is small, single-herb formulas act very quickly. According to *Xianmi Zhi*: If one takes Tribuli Fructus for one year, one will feel neither cold in winter nor heat in summer; taking it for two years reverses aging, turning white hair black and regrowing lost teeth; taking it for three years leads to longevity and a light body. Although we do not prepare it as a decoction or powder for internal use now, long-term rinsing yields the same effect.

In July, harvest Hanzhancao (Ecliptae Herba) with roots, 1 jin. Wash clean with non-ash wine. Pickle with 4 liang of Qingyan (Green Salt) for three nights. Remove and stir-fry in an oil-free pot until the medicinal property is preserved (cun xing). Gradually pour in the original juice and stir-fry until dry, then grind into powder. Every morning, use 1 qian to brush teeth, swallowing the saliva along with it. These two formulas are simple yet highly effective.

[Formula for Bleeding Gums due to Yin Deficiency and Qi Stagnation]
Chuanxiong (Ligusticum Chuanxiong Rhizome), Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), Baishaoyao (Paeoniae Radix Alba), Shengdihuang (Rehmanniae Radix), Shenggancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, halved), Niuxi (Achyranthis Bidentatae Radix), Cebaiye (Platycladi Cacumen), Xiangfu (Cyperi Rhizoma) (equal parts).
Decoct in 1.5 zhong of water until reduced to 0.8 zhong. Take well after meals.

Stir-fry Huaihua (Sophorae Flos) into powder and apply locally.

[Treatment for Infantile Gangrenous Gingivitis (Zouma Yagan)]

Use Baiwu (White Scale from Women's Urinal), calcined (1 qian), Tonglü (Chalcanthite) (3 fen), Shexiang (Moschus) (1.5 fen). Grind each separately, mix evenly, and apply to the affected area for immediate cure.
