Li Guanguan (3 years old, duration of 3 months): Stomach cough causes the movement of parasites; parasite movement leads to vomiting. This is not like cough caused by phlegm obstructing lung qi. One will know this after reading "Ke Lun" (Treatise on Cough) in *Neijing* (The Yellow Emperor's Classic of Internal Medicine). The pulse is wiry, slippery, and floating on the right side. Treatment should focus on descending qi, calming liver, and regulating stomach.

For Gallbladder cough, characterized by coughing and vomiting bitter fluid, this formula may also be applied.
Xu Zuo (August): Spleen deficiency retains dampness; damp-phlegm obstructs lung qi. Prolonged coughing allows the pathogen to affect the Sanjiao (Triple Burner). The manifestation of Sanjiao cough includes coughing accompanied by edema. The pulse is wiry and rapid. Treatment should focus on descending qi and resolving phlegm.

If the condition involves water-fluid retention, Xia Qinglong Tang (Minor Green Dragon Decoction) original formula may be used.
Qiu Zuo (Hongqiao, August): Wood-fire insulting Metal; Lung loses its clear and descending function. Symptoms include coughing with reverse flow, thick sputum, epigastric fullness, and limb fatigue. Symptoms include tidal fever, cough, dry throat, and dizziness. The pulse is wiry and rapid. Treatment should focus on clearing and purifying.

Exacerbated by labor stirring up Liver, Liver Qi rebels horizontally, carrying phlegm-fluid to invade the Lung. Symptoms include rebellious Qi, epigastric fullness, cough with thick sputum. The pulse is wiry on the left and slippery on the right. Treatment should focus on descending Qi and resolving phlegm.
