(There are forty-five acupoints on each side of the Foot-Yangming Stomach Meridian, totaling ninety acupoints bilaterally.)
Diagram of the Foot-Yangming Stomach Meridian [Image: p06-d14a3.bmp]
The meridian of the stomach is the Foot-Yangming. Begin by seeking from Touwei (ST8) and Benshen (GB13) laterally five cun away; descend to Xiaguan (ST7), located at the arterial pulsation anterior to the ear; then Jiache (ST6), needled eight fen below the ear; Chengqi (ST1) is taken one cun below the eye; Sibai (ST2) is taken one cun below Chengqi; Juliao (ST3) is not detailed here (text "bu" likely a typo or placeholder); next are Renying (ST9) and Qishe (ST10), Renying is flanking Tiantu (CV22), Quepen (ST12) is in the depression of the transverse bone, felt intimately; Qikou (likely referring to Renying pulse location) and Shufu (BL24? Context implies chest points, likely error for Shufu BL24 or similar, but text says Shufu pang er cun - Shufu is Bladder meridian, likely refers to chest region points like Shifan or similar, but strictly translating text: Shufu two cun lateral) until six cun four fen above the breast; Kukufang (ST15), Wuyi (ST16), Yingchuang (ST17) are near the center of the nipple; directly opposite the center of the nipple is Rugen (ST18), one cun below the nipple on each side, not interfering with each other; Liangmen (ST21) is one cun lateral to Youmen (RN15), Burong (ST19) is one cun below Liangmen, count according to method; below them are Chengman (ST22), Liangqiu (ST34), Guanmen (ST23), Taiyi (ST24); sequentially arranged from the neck peak (supraclavicular fossa area), Huatuo Jiyi points or specific stomach points? Text says "Hua Xinmen" (Sliding Fontanelle Gate? Likely typo for Huatuojiaji or specific point, but literally Hua Xinmen), Tianshu (ST25) each separated by ten cun as the standard number; Tianshu is exactly two cun lateral to the umbilicus; Wailing (ST26) is one cun below Tianshu; Daju (ST27) is two cun below Wailing; Shuidao (ST28) and Guilai (ST29) are found at seven cun; Qichong (ST30) is two cun lateral to Qugu (RN2); descending to Dingshang (pubic symphysis area), central axillary Bigan (ST31) is six cun posterior to Futu (ST32); Futu is three cun above Qiangyinshi (ST33); approximately three cun above the knee is Liangqiu (ST34), two cun finds its field; below the patella seek Dubi (ST35) (knee eye), two disasters divide both sides; three cun below the knee seeks Zusanli (ST36); three cun below Zusanli is Shanglian (ST37); Dijii (SP8? Text says Dijixi Xangu Neiting hou cun ban - likely referring to Sanyinjiao SP6 or similar, but text says Dijixi which might be a typo for Sanjian or similar, however strictly: Dijixi, Neiting ST44 half cun posterior); Neiting is between the lateral aspect of the second toe; Lidui (ST45) is at the tip of the second toe, removing the nail like a leek leaf, this is where the stomach meridian begins; the stomach meridian is Yangming, starting at the nose, descending along the lateral nose, entering the teeth, circling out beside the mouth, winding around Chengjiang (CV24), then to Daying (ST5), inside Jiache, anterior to the ear hairline to the forehead; branch descends through Renying, Quepen, below the diaphragm enters the stomach and connects with the spleen palace; these five... Quepen down inner breast one crossing Youmen, following the abdominal interior descending straight to Qichong, thus from Bigan reaching the knee patella; HT (typo/mark ignored) same branch passes through the medial aspect of the middle finger down to the knee noting Zusanli, separately exiting the lateral aspect of the middle finger connecting one branch, separately walking to the dorsum of the foot and the tip of the big toe, the meridian ends. This meridian has abundant qi and blood.
Diseases caused by movement/disorder of the meridian: yawning and stretching, dark complexion, shivering aversion to cold, fear of seeing people, sudden startle upon hearing wooden sounds, climbing high and singing, discarding clothes and running, severe abdominal distension with rumbling. All such diseases are those caused by jue disorders.
Diseases manifested by the meridian: manic malaria, damp-warmth with sweating, epistaxis, cracking of lips and mouth, throat obstruction, pain in the knee patella, abdominal distension with knotted qi, pain in the chest, lateral aspect of Futu, dorsum of the foot, and middle toe, penetrating excess reducing digestion, yellow urine; deficiency causes chills and trembling in the front of the body, gastric fullness and indigestion, heat in the front of the body when qi is excessive.
