四君子汤参苓术，甘草姜枣煎要熟，气虚用此古今同，合上四物八物足。（见七卷）
四物汤地芍芎归，血病须还血药医，热者（批∶热者唐本作夏有）赤芍当归尾，小芎生地始相宜。见七卷
二陈汤要橘半陈，茯苓甘草姜煎温，血虚合上四物药，气虚更宜合四君。（见七卷）
六郁（汤）陈皮半夏芎，茯苓苍术砂仁充，山栀香附子甘草，姜煎加减在心中。（见七卷）
上方诗三百首，《快捷方式》八十七首，添加二百一十三首，其间等分遵古，未及校正，用者因病加减，
不必拘泥。即如清脾饮治热多寒少，当以柴胡、黄芩为君，余药为佐，岂可九味皆等分耶？又如六味地黄丸补
肾，固以地黄为君；若病水肿，当以泽泻为君；病遗精，当以山茱萸为君。丸药亦可煎汤，汤散亦可作丸，膏
药间有可服者，丸、散亦有可外敷贴者，存乎人之善悟耳！
万病解毒丹，乃急救通用妙剂，外伤内伤，缢死溺死皆验。万病解毒丸，中诸毒皆验。
救缢死 自旦至暮，但心下微温，虽一日以上可活。急抱起死人，将绳宽解去，切不可割断，极须按定其
心，却捻正喉咙，放倒卧，令一人以手掌掩其口鼻，两人吹其两耳，一人急牵其发不放手，及屈伸其手足摩将
之。少活，即以粥饮与之。此法救人，无不活者。又法，男用雌鸡、女用雄鸡冠，刺血点口中，即活。
救溺死 先以刀HT 开口，放箸一根衔之，使可出水，然后解去其衣服，以艾灸脐中，令两人以笔管吹其耳，
即活。或以生人倒驮死人，即负持走，吐水便活。外用绵裹皂角末纳谷道中，水出即活，内以鸭血灌之。又法，
用酒坛一个，以纸钱一把烧坛中，急以坛口复死人面上或脐上，冷则再换，水出即活，如苏即用苏合香丸擦牙。
救冻死 其证四肢强直口噤，只有微气者，且慢向火，急用布袋盛热灰放在心头，冷即换热，待眼开却用
温酒或米饮灌之，冬月堕
水冻死亦宜。
救魇死 原有灯即得，如无灯切不可用灯，急用竹管吹其两耳，或通关散吹入鼻内，或以盐汤灌之，或用
韭菜捣汁滴入鼻中，卒中恶死亦宜。或到客舍官驿，及久无人居住冷房，睡中为鬼物所魔，但闻其人吃吃作声，
令人叫唤，如不苏，不急救则死。用牛黄、雄黄各一钱，朱砂五分，为末，每排一钱烧于床下，一钱用酒调灌
之。
救坠死 坠下瘀血冲心欲绝者，用豆豉浓煎汤服。若便觉气绝不能言，取药不及，急HT 开口，以热小便
灌之。
救绞肠痧 即腹痛难忍，但阴沙腹痛而手足冷，看其身上红点，以油灯心点火燎之即愈。阳沙腹痛而手足
暖，以针刺其十指背近爪甲半分许，即动爪甲，而指背皮肉动处血出即安。仍先自两臂捋下其恶血，令聚指头，
血出为好。
解砒毒 其证烦躁如狂，心腹搅痛，头旋欲吐不吐，面口青黑，四肢逆冷。此毒于肉饭中得之则易治，饮
酒中得之则散归百脉难治。在胸膈用瓜蒂稀（批∶稀唐本作启）涎散吐之，在腹中急服万病解毒丹下之，或
大承气汤加雄黄、青黛等分，略煎冷服，徐服参苓白术散。仍忌鸡鹅肉数日。一方用早禾秆烧灰，井水调浓汁
冷服一碗，其毒下利即愈。或用麻油，或人粪汁皆可灌之。一方旋刺羊血或鸡鸭血热服，兼解鼠莽毒及丹药毒。
解川乌附子毒 心烦躁闷，甚则头岑岑然，遍身皆黑，势危必死，煎绿豆或黑豆冷冻饮料，或防风、甘草煎汤冷
服，一切药毒及犯热物亦宜，但要心间暖者不妨。《朱子全集》云∶紧急无药，令多汲新水连饮，大呕泻而愈。
解巴豆毒 令人大泻或吐，烦渴发热，急用黄连、黄柏煎汤冷服，更以冷水浸手足掌。忌食热汤、热性药
物。
解诸草毒 治误食毒草并百物毒，救人于必死，板蓝根四两，贯众、青黛、生甘草各一两，为末，蒸饼丸，梧
子大，另用青黛为衣。如觉精神恍惚恶心，即是误中诸毒，急取十五丸嚼烂，新汲水下即解。
解豆腐毒 过食令人生疮，暖气，遗精白浊。用生萝卜煎汤服，或子煎汤亦可。
解诸菌毒 掘新地取真黄土，以冷水于内搅之令浊，澄少顷，取饮之可解。亦治枫木菌食之令人笑不止。
又方，用芫花生为末，每一钱新汲水下，以利为度。菌之毒者，盖因蛇虫毒瓦斯熏蒸所致。
解鼠莽毒 用大黑豆煮汁服之。如欲试其验，先刈鼠莽苗叶，以汁浇其根，从此败烂，不复生矣。
解鸩鸟毒 即孔雀毛并胆也。用干葛为末，水调服。食鹅、鸭中毒，以糯米泔温服即消。
解六畜肉毒 用犀角磨浓汁一碗服之。食自死六畜毒，用黄柏末一二钱服之。不解再服。
解河豚鱼毒 一时困怠杀人，急用清油吐出，或服槐花末、龙脑末皆可，至宝丹尤妙。诸鱼毒，橄榄解之。
解斑蝥毒 其证吐逆不止，急用绿豆，或乌豆、或糯米煎汤服。一方用泽兰叶捣汁服，或干者为末，白
汤下。
解 鳖蛤蟆毒 用生豆豉一合，新汲水半碗，浸汁顿服即愈。此三物令小便秘，脐下蔽痛，有致死者。
解中金蚕虫毒 才觉中毒，宜先吮白矾，味甘而不涩，次嚼黑豆不腥者是也。用石榴根皮煎浓汁饮之，即
吐出活虫，无不愈者。
解中诸物毒 白矾、细茶等分为末，每三钱新汲水调服。得吐即效，未吐再服。或万病解毒丹、丸下之。
解中毒 及蛇虫咬，痈疽才作，服此毒瓦斯不聚。用青黛、雄黄各等分，为末，新汲水下二钱。
误吞铜铁碗瓦 万病解毒丸∶大黄、大戟、连翘、寒水石各二两，白玉簪、白芷、黄芩、茯苓、石膏、
滑石、天花粉各三两，甘草、薄荷、干葛各四两。山慈菇六两，贯众一两半，青黛五钱，为末，绿豆粉糊丸弹
子大。每服一丸，薄
荷汤磨下。治一切中毒，能化铜铁碗瓦，同嚼化为粉碎，此其验也。抑论中毒之证。辨其自戕被害，何物之中，
审其远近，久则不救。治法上宜吐之。以鹅翎探吐。急以桐油灌吐之，下以解毒丸靛浆利之。中毒手足面青，
过肘者不救。紧急只以玄明粉煎甘草汤利之，亦可。
误吞铁针 用蚕豆煮熟，同韭菜吃下，针与菜从大便而出。
误吞铜钱 不能化者，用砂仁煎浓汁饮之，其铜自下；或用荸荠研烂服之，其铜自化；或用坚炭为末，
米饮调服，于大便中泻下如乌梅状。
误吞蜈蚣 用生猪血令病患吃，须臾生清油灌口中，恶心，其蜈蚣衮在血中吐出，继以雄黄为末，水调服。
误吞水蛭 入腹，经久必生小蛭，能食人肝血，腹痛不可忍，面目黄瘦，全不进食，若不早治，能令人死。
用田中干泥一小块，小死鱼三四个，将猪脂溶搅匀，用巴豆十枚研烂入泥内，为丸绿豆大，用田中冷水吞下十
丸，小儿三五丸，须臾大小水蛭一时皆下。却以四物汤加黄 煎服，生血补脾。
骨鲠入喉 用砂仁、甘草等分为末，以绵裹少许咽之，良久骨随痰出，甚者用南硼砂少许水洗，汲口中含
化立愈。一方用金凤花子或根，嚼烂噙下骨化，用温水漱口，免伤齿。鸡骨尤效。鱼骨鲠详四卷。兽骨鲠用象
牙梳磨水咽下；或桑木上虫屑，米醋灌自下；或狗涎灌之，以狗善食诸骨也。
禾芒刺喉 或中舌中，取鹅涎灌之即下，以鹅善消稻芒也。
虎咬 先吃清油一碗，次用油洗伤处；或白矾为末纳伤处，痛止立效；或用砂糖水调涂，并服一二碗。
马咬 及踏伤人，用艾灸伤处并肿处，或用人屎或马屎烧灰为末，皆可敷之。
犬咬 疯犬咬，用防风五钱，牵牛、大黄各三钱，斑蝥一钱，麝香三分，雄黄二钱半，为末，每三钱，遇
伤时滚水调服，利下恶物，从小便而出。癫犬咬及常犬咬，用虎胫骨或脑骨为末，每二钱热酒白汤任下。一
方用白矾为末糁之，再用斑蝥九枚为末，酒调服，利下恶物，从小便出即愈。
蛇咬 急饮好醋二碗，令毒瓦斯不随血走，或清油亦可。一方用贝母为末酒调，令患人尽醉饮之，顷之，
酒自伤处为水流出，候水尽，却以药渣敷疮上，若伤至垂死，但有微气，服此即活。恶蛇咬，用细辛、白芷各
五钱，雄黄二钱，为末，每二钱入麝香少许，温酒调服。误饮蛇交水，研雄黄服之。
鼠咬 猫毛烧灰，入麝香少许，津液调敷。
蜈蚣咬 用鸡屎涂之良。一方用蜘蛛吸去其毒，待蜘蛛醉死，急以蜘蛛投冷水中，免伤其命。
蜘蛛咬 用醋磨炷铁汁或桑白皮汁涂之，亦治蜈蚣咬。
壁虎咬 毒入必死，用桑柴烧灰，以水煎三四沸，滤浓汁，调白矾末涂伤处，兼治蛇咬。
蚯蚓咬 用鸡屎涂之，又方急煎盐汤，洗浸肿处即消。
八脚足伤 其虫隐于壁间，以屎射人，遍体生疮如汤火伤。用乌鸡翎烧灰为末，鸡子白调敷。
蝎子螫 痛不可忍，用白矾、半夏各等分为末，醋调涂之痛止。
黄蜂螫 用热油洗之，清油擦之亦可。或用头垢敷，或用盐擦。
溪毒 兼辟射工，夏月出行，取知母为末自随，欲入水，先取少许按上流，亦取服之。一方用苍耳子捣
汁服之。以上有自取者，有误犯者，其实人身难得，岂可尚气纵情而轻弃其生耶？凡有生者，慎之戒之！
避难止小儿哭法 用绵为一小球，随儿大小为之，略使满口而不致闭其气，量用甘草煎汤，或甜物皆可渍
之，临时缚置儿口中，使咂其味，儿口有物实之，自不能作声，而绵软
不伤儿口，此宋刘 《暇日记》方也。丘琼山云∶此法平世诚无所用，不幸而遇祸乱，全活婴儿之命，不可胜
记。盖婴儿未解事者，不可戒语，啼声不止，又恐为盗贼所闻，势不得已，弃之道旁，哀哉！此法虽小，不可
不知。
避难大道丸 黑豆一升去皮，贯众、甘草各一两，茯苓、苍术、砂仁各五钱，锉碎，用水五盏，同豆煎熬，
火须文武紧慢得中，直至水尽，拣去药，取豆捣如泥，作芡实大瓷瓶密封，每嚼一丸，则恣食苗叶，可为
终日饱。虽异草殊木，素所不识，亦无毒，甘甜与进饭粮一同。专备荒乱饥饿，食草木以济生。一方只黑豆一
升， 挲极净，贯众一斤细锉，用水斟酌多少，慢火煮豆香熟，日干，翻覆令展尽余汁，簸取黑豆，去贯众，
空心日啖五七粒，任食草木无妨。治与前同。能忌鱼肉菜果及热水热汤，数日后身力壮健，不复思饭食。
散被殴瘢痕 亦治跌扑。用熟麻油与酒同煎服之，卧火烧地上，疼痛即消。
伤重痛闷欲绝者 用牛一只，剖腹纳其人于牛腹，浸热血中，可苏。如伤腹，用血竭饮之，出血愈。或打
伤跌扑，或战阵炮矢所伤，血流满体，气贯胸膈闷绝者亦苏。
治中创血出 亦治金疮，用原蚕蛾一味。炒为末，敷之立止，血出如箭者亦效。
枪伤腹烈肠出者 用黄 、当归、川芎、白芷、续断、鹿茸、黄芩、细辛、干姜、附子、芍药各二两，
为末，先饮酒，次服五钱，七日三服，加至方寸匕立验，伤重困乏者亦宜。
金刃中骨脉中不出者 用白蔹、半夏等分为末，每方寸匕日三服，酒下，至二十日自出。
下蚕室创门不合方 用所割势火 为末，酒调服。昔有沈生者，狎近女冠，或欲白其师，沈惧，引刀自割
其势，疮口流血，经月不合。或教以 所割者捣为末，酒调服，不数日而愈。
四君子汤由人参、茯苓、白术组成，加入甘草，并用生姜、大枣煎煮，需煎至熟透。古今皆认为此方适用于气虚证，若与四物汤合用，则成为八珍汤（气血双补）。
四物汤由地黄、芍药、川芎、当归组成，治疗血病必须使用补血药物。若有热象（批注：唐本作“夏有”），应选用赤芍和当归尾，小剂量的川芎配合生地黄才适宜。（见第七卷）
二陈汤主要由陈皮、半夏、陈久者良的橘红组成，加入茯苓、甘草，用生姜煎煮温服。若兼有血虚，可与四物汤合用；若兼有气虚，更宜与四君子汤合用。（见第七卷）
六郁汤由陈皮、半夏、川芎组成，加入茯苓、苍术、砂仁以充实药力，再加入山栀子、香附子、甘草，用生姜煎煮，根据病情加减，心中要有数。（见第七卷）
上述方剂的歌诀共有三百首，《快捷方式》中有八十七首，新增二百一十三首。其中等分使用的药物遵循古法，但尚未及校正，使用者应根据病情进行加减，不必拘泥于固定比例。例如清脾饮治疗热多寒少的疟疾，应以柴胡、黄芩为君药，其余药物为佐使药，岂能九味药物都等分使用呢？又如六味地黄丸补肾，固然以地黄为君药；但若治疗水肿，应以泽泻为君药；若治疗遗精，应以山茱萸为君药。丸药也可以煎成汤剂服用，汤剂和散剂也可以制成丸药，膏药中也有可以内服的，丸剂和散剂也有可以外敷贴用的，这取决于人的善于领悟罢了！
万病解毒丹是急救通用的妙方，无论是外伤还是内伤，甚至是缢死或溺死都有效。万病解毒丸对各类中毒均有效。
救治缢死患者：从早晨到傍晚，只要心下还有微温，即使超过一天以上也有可能救活。急忙抱起死者，将绳索宽松解开去掉，切不可割断绳子，必须按压定其心脏部位，然后理顺喉咙，让其平卧，让一人用手掌掩住其口鼻，两人向其两耳吹气，一人急忙拉扯其头发不放手，并屈伸其手足按摩。稍见苏醒，立即给予米粥饮品。这种方法救人，没有不活的。另一种方法，男性患者用雌鸡冠刺血点入口中，女性患者用雄鸡冠刺血点入口中，即可救活。
救治溺死患者：先用刀划开口腔，放入一根筷子衔住，以便排出积水，然后解去其衣服，用艾灸脐中穴位，让两人用笔管向其耳朵吹气，即可救活。或者让活人倒背着死者奔跑，吐出积水便活。外用绵花包裹皂角末塞入肛门中，水出即活，内服鸭血灌之。另一种方法，用一个酒坛，将一把纸钱烧在坛中，急忙用坛口覆盖在死者面部或脐部，变冷后再换新的，水出即活，如果苏醒则用苏合香丸擦牙。
救治冻死患者：症状表现为四肢强直、牙关紧闭，只有微弱气息的，暂且不要靠近火源，急忙用布袋盛装热灰放在心口处，冷了再换热的，等到眼睛睁开后，再用温酒或米饮灌服，冬季落水冻死也适用。
救治魇死（梦魇致死/假死）：原来有灯就可以，如果没有灯千万不要用灯，急忙用竹管向两耳吹气，或将通关散吹入鼻内，或用盐汤灌服，或用韭菜捣汁滴入鼻中，猝然中恶死也适用。或者到了客舍官驿，以及长久无人居住的冷房，睡中被鬼物所魔扰，只听到那人吃吃作声，让人呼唤，如果不苏醒，不急救就会死亡。用牛黄、雄黄各一钱，朱砂五分，研为细末，每次取一钱在床上烧熏，一钱用酒调匀灌服。
救治坠楼患者：坠落导致瘀血冲心欲绝者，用豆豉浓煎汤服用。如果立刻感觉气绝不能言语，取药来不及，急忙划开口腔，用热小便灌服。
救治绞肠痧（急性腹痛）：即腹痛难忍，如果是阴沙腹痛而手足冷，看身上有红点，用油灯芯点火燎灼患处即愈。如果是阳沙腹痛而手足暖，用针刺其十指背部近指甲半分许处，指甲会动，指背皮肉跳动处出血即安。仍先从两臂捋下恶血，令其聚集在指头，血出为好。
解除砒霜毒：症状表现为烦躁如狂，心腹绞痛，头晕想吐却吐不出来，面口青黑，四肢逆冷。这种毒如果在肉饭中得到则容易治疗，如果在饮酒中得到则散布百脉难以治疗。毒在胸膈用瓜蒂稀涎散催吐，毒在腹中急服万病解毒丹攻下，或用大承气汤加雄黄、青黛等分，略煎后冷服，慢慢服用参苓白术散。仍忌食鸡鹅肉数日。一方用早禾秆烧成灰，井水调成浓汁冷服一碗，毒素随大便排出即愈。或用麻油，或人粪汁皆可灌服。另一方旋切羊血或鸡鸭血热服，兼解鼠莽毒及丹药毒。
解除川乌、附子毒：心烦躁闷，甚至头昏沉，遍身发黑，形势危急必死，煎绿豆或黑豆冷冻饮料，或用防风、甘草煎汤冷服，一切药毒及误食热性食物也适用，只要心间温暖就不妨。《朱子全集》说：紧急无药时，让人多汲取新水连续饮用，大呕吐腹泻后即可痊愈。
解除巴豆毒：使人剧烈腹泻或呕吐，烦渴发热，急忙用黄连、黄柏煎汤冷服，再用冷水浸泡手足掌心。忌食热汤、热性药物。
解除各种草毒：治疗误食毒草及万物毒，能在必死情况下救人，用板蓝根四两，贯众、青黛、生甘草各一两，研为细末，蒸饼为丸，梧桐子大小，另用青黛为衣。如果觉得精神恍惚恶心，就是误中诸毒，急忙取十五丸嚼烂，新汲水下服即解。
解除豆腐毒：过食导致生疮、嗳气、遗精白浊。用生萝卜煎汤服用，或用萝卜籽煎汤也可。
解除各种菌毒：挖掘新地取得真黄土，用冷水在内搅动使其浑浊，澄清片刻，取上清液饮用可解。也治疗枫木菌，食之令人笑不止。另一方，用芫花生研为细末，每服一钱，新汲水下服，以利为度。菌类的毒，大概是因为蛇虫毒瓦斯熏蒸所致。
解除鼠莽毒：用大黑豆煮汁服用。如果想验证其疗效，先收割鼠莽苗叶，用汁液浇灌其根，从此败烂，不再生长。
解除鸩鸟毒：即孔雀毛和胆。用干葛研为细末，水调服。食用鹅、鸭中毒，用糯米泔水温服即消。
解除六畜肉毒：用犀角磨成浓汁一碗服用。食用自死的六畜毒，用黄柏末一二钱服用。不解再服。
解除河豚鱼毒：一时困怠杀人，急忙用清油催吐，或服用槐花末、龙脑末皆可，至宝丹尤其妙。各种鱼毒，橄榄可解。
解除斑蝥毒：症状表现为吐逆不止，急忙用绿豆，或乌豆、或糯米煎汤服用。一方用泽兰叶捣汁服用，或干品研为细末，白汤送下。
解除鳖、蛤蟆毒：用生豆豉一合，新汲水半碗，浸汁顿服即愈。这三种东西会导致小便闭塞，脐下剧痛，有致死者。
解除中金蚕虫毒：刚觉中毒，应先吮吸白矾，味甘而不涩，其次是嚼黑豆不腥的是对的。用石榴根皮煎浓汁饮之，即可吐出活虫，无不痊愈。
解除中诸物毒：白矾、细茶等分为末，每三钱新汲水调服。得吐即效，未吐再服。或用万病解毒丹、丸攻下。
解除中毒及蛇虫咬伤、痈疽初起：服此药可使毒瓦斯不聚积。用青黛、雄黄各等分，研为细末，新汲水下服二钱。
误吞铜铁碗瓦：万病解毒丸配方：大黄、大戟、连翘、寒水石各二两，白玉簪、白芷、黄芩、茯苓、石膏、滑石、天花粉各三两，甘草、薄荷、干葛各四两，山慈菇六两，贯众一两半，青黛五钱，研为细末，绿豆粉糊丸如弹子大。每服一丸，薄荷汤磨下。治一切中毒，能化铜铁碗瓦，同嚼化为粉碎，这是其验征。抑且论述中毒的症状。辨别是自戕还是被害，是何物所中，审其远近，久则不救。治法上宜催吐。以鹅翎探吐。急忙用桐油灌服催吐，下以解毒丸靛浆利导。中毒手足面青，超过肘部的不救。紧急只用玄明粉煎甘草汤利导，也可以。

蜘蛛咬：用醋磨炷铁汁或桑白皮汁涂之，亦治蜈蚣咬。
壁虎咬：毒入必死，用桑柴烧灰，以水煎三四沸，滤浓汁，调白矾末涂伤处，兼治蛇咬。
蚯蚓咬：用鸡屎涂之，又方急煎盐汤，洗浸肿处即消。
八脚足伤：其虫隐于壁间，以屎射人，遍体生疮如汤火伤。用乌鸡翎烧灰为末，鸡子白调敷。
蝎子螫：痛不可忍，用白矾、半夏各等分为末，醋调涂之痛止。
黄蜂螫：用热油洗之，清油擦之亦可。或用头垢敷，或用盐擦。
溪毒：兼辟射工，夏月出行，取知母为末自随，欲入水，先取少许按上流，亦取服之。一方用苍耳子捣汁服之。以上有自取者，有误犯者，其实人身难得，岂可尚气纵情而轻弃其生耶？凡有生者，慎之戒之！
避难止小儿哭法：用绵为一小球，随儿大小为之，略使满口而不致闭其气，量用甘草煎汤，或甜物皆可渍之，临时缚置儿口中，使咂其味，儿口有物实之，自不能作声，而绵软不伤儿口，此宋刘 《暇日记》方也。丘琼山云∶此法平世诚无所用，不幸而遇祸乱，全活婴儿之命，不可胜记。盖婴儿未解事者，不可戒语，啼声不止，又恐为盗贼所闻，势不得已，弃之道旁，哀哉！此法虽小，不可不知。
避难大道丸：黑豆一升去皮，贯众、甘草各一两，茯苓、苍术、砂仁各五钱，锉碎，用水五盏，同豆煎熬，火须文武紧慢得中，直至水尽，拣去药，取豆捣如泥，作芡实大瓷瓶密封，每嚼一丸，则恣食苗叶，可为终日饱。虽异草殊木，素所不识，亦无毒，甘甜与进饭粮一同。专备荒乱饥饿，食草木以济生。一方只黑豆一升， 挲极净，贯众一斤细锉，用水斟酌多少，慢火煮豆香熟，日干，翻覆令展尽余汁，簸取黑豆，去贯众，空心日啖五七粒，任食草木无妨。治与前同。能忌鱼肉菜果及热水热汤，数日后身力壮健，不复思饭食。
散被殴瘢痕：亦治跌扑。用熟麻油与酒同煎服之，卧火烧地上，疼痛即消。
伤重痛闷欲绝者：用牛一只，剖腹纳其人于牛腹，浸热血中，可苏。如伤腹，用血竭饮之，出血愈。或打伤跌扑，或战阵炮矢所伤，血流满体，气贯胸膈闷绝者亦苏。
治中创血出：亦治金疮，用原蚕蛾一味。炒为末，敷之立止，血出如箭者亦效。
枪伤腹烈肠出者：用黄芪、当归、川芎、白芷、续断、鹿茸、黄芩、细辛、干姜、附子、芍药各二两，为末，先饮酒，次服五钱，七日三服，加至方寸匕立验，伤重困乏者亦宜。
金刃中骨脉中不出者：用白蔹、半夏等分为末，每方寸匕日三服，酒下，至二十日自出。
下蚕室创门不合方：用所割势火 为末，酒调服。昔有沈生者，狎近女冠，或欲白其师，沈惧，引刀自割其势，疮口流血，经月不合。或教以 所割者捣为末，酒调服，不数日而愈。
Si Jun Zi Tang (Four Gentlemen Decoction) consists of Ren Shen (Ginseng Radix), Fu Ling (Poria), and Bai Zhu (Atractylodis Rhizoma). Add Gan Cao (Licorice Root), Sheng Jiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens), and Da Zao (Jujubae Fructus), and decoct until well-cooked. Since ancient times, this formula has been recognized for treating Qi Deficiency (Qi Xu, deficiency of vital energy). When combined with Si Wu Tang (Four Substance Decoction), it becomes Ba Zhen Tang (Eight Treasures Decoction), which tonifies both Qi and Blood.
Si Wu Tang (Four Substance Decoction) is composed of Di Huang (Rehmanniae Radix), Shao Yao (Paeoniae Radix), Chuan Xiong (Chuanxiong Rhizoma), and Dang Gui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix). Blood disorders must be treated with blood-nourishing herbs. If there are heat signs (Note: Tang edition says "Xia You"), use Chi Shao (Red Peony Root) and Dang Gui Wei (Tail of Angelicae Sinensis Radix), with a small amount of Chuan Xiong and Sheng Di Huang (Rehmanniae Radix Preparata) for suitability. Er Chen Tang (Two Aged Ingredients Decoction) mainly contains Chen Pi (Tangerine Peel), Ban Xia (Pinelliae Rhizoma Preparatum), and aged Ju Hong (Exocarpium Citri Reticulatae). Add Fu Ling (Poria), Gan Cao (Licorice Root), and Sheng Jiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens), and decoct for warm administration. If accompanied by Blood Deficiency, combine with Si Wu Tang (Four Substance Decoction); if accompanied by Qi Deficiency, it is more suitable to combine with Si Jun Zi Tang (Four Gentlemen Decoction). Liu Yu Tang (Six Stagnations Decoction) consists of Chen Pi (Tangerine Peel), Ban Xia (Pinelliae Rhizoma Preparatum), and Chuan Xiong (Chuanxiong Rhizoma). Enrich the formula with Fu Ling (Poria), Cang Zhu (Atractylodis Rhizoma), and Sha Ren (Amomi Fructus). Add Shan Zhi Zi (Gardeniae Fructus), Xiang Fu (Cyperi Rhizoma), and Gan Cao (Licorice Root). Decoct with Sheng Jiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens) and adjust according to the condition; keep the modifications in mind. (See Volume 7)
The above formulas include three hundred verses of rhymes. "Kuai Jie Fang Shi" (Quick Reference Formulas) contains eighty-seven verses, with two hundred and thirteen additional verses added. The equal-part usage of herbs follows ancient methods but has not yet been corrected. Users should modify them according to the disease and need not adhere rigidly. For example, Qing Pi Yin (Clear Spleen Decoction) treats malaria with more heat than cold; Chai Hu (Bupleuri Radix) and Huang Qin (Scutellariae Radix) should be the Sovereign (Jun) herbs, with other herbs as ministers and assistants. How can all nine ingredients be used in equal parts? Similarly, Liu Wei Di Huang Wan (Six-Ingredient Pill with Rehmannia) tonifies the Kidney, so Di Huang (Rehmanniae Radix) is naturally the Sovereign herb; however, if treating edema, Ze Xie (Alismatis Rhizoma) should be the Sovereign herb; if treating seminal emission, Shan Zhu Yu (Corni Fructus) should be the Sovereign herb. Pills can also be decocted into soups, and soups or powders can be made into pills. Some ointments can be taken internally, and some pills or powders can be applied externally. This depends on one's ability to comprehend and adapt.
Wan Bing Jie Du Dan (Ten Thousand Diseases Detoxifying Elixir) is an excellent universal emergency remedy, effective for external injuries, internal injuries, hanging, and drowning. Wan Bing Jie Du Wan (Ten Thousand Diseases Detoxifying Pill) is effective against various poisons.
Rescuing Hanging Victims: From morning to evening, if the area below the heart still retains slight warmth, survival is possible even after more than a day. Quickly lift the deceased, loosen and remove the rope carefully; do not cut it. Press firmly on the heart area, straighten the throat, lay the person flat. One person covers the mouth and nose with their palm, two people blow air into the ears, and one person pulls the hair without letting go while flexing and extending the limbs and massaging. Once slightly revived, give rice gruel drink immediately. This method saves lives effectively. Another method: for males, prick the comb of a hen for blood and apply to the mouth; for females, prick the comb of a rooster. Life will be restored.
Rescuing Drowning Victims: First, cut open the mouth with a knife, insert a chopstick to keep the airway open and allow water to drain. Then remove clothes. Apply moxibustion to Shen Que (CV8, Umbilicus). Have two people blow air into the ears using a pen tube. Alternatively, have a living person carry the deceased upside down on their back and run until water is vomited out. Externally, wrap powder from Gao Jiao (Gleditsiae Sinensis Fructus) in cotton and insert into the anus; life returns when water exits. Internally,灌 (irrigate) with Duck Blood. Another method: take a wine jar, burn paper money inside, quickly place the jar opening over the victim's face or umbilicus. Replace when cool. Life returns when water exits. If revived, rub Su He Xiang Wan (Styrax Pill) on the teeth.
Rescuing Freezing Victims: Symptoms include stiff limbs and locked jaw, with only faint breath. Do not approach fire immediately. Quickly place a cloth bag filled with hot ashes on the chest. Replace when cool. Once eyes open, administer warm wine or rice drink. This also applies to freezing deaths from falling into water in winter.
Rescuing Nightmare Death (Suspended Animation): If a lamp is available, use it; if not, do not use a lamp. Quickly blow air into both ears using a bamboo tube, or blow Tong Guan San (Pass Through Orifice Powder) into the nose. Irrigate with salt water or drip juice from crushed Jiucai (Chinese Chive). Also applicable for sudden death from evil qi. If found in guesthouses or cold, unoccupied rooms, where the person makes choking sounds during sleep due to spirit oppression, call out to them. If they do not revive and emergency treatment is not given, death ensues. Use Niu Huang (Calculus Bovis) and Xiong Huang (Realgar), each 1 qian, and Zhu Sha (Cinnabar) 5 fen, grind into powder. Burn 1 qian under the bed, and mix 1 qian with wine for oral administration.
Rescuing Fall Victims: For falls causing blood stasis rushing to the heart and near-death state, decoct Dou Chi (Fermented Soybean) thickly and administer. If immediate breathlessness and inability to speak occur, and medicine is unavailable, cut open the mouth and irrigate with warm urine.
Rescuing Jiao Chang Sha (Intestinal Colic Cramp): Characterized by unbearable abdominal pain. For Yin Sha type (cold limbs), look for red spots on the body and cauterize with an oil-soaked wick lit by a lamp. For Yang Sha type (warm limbs), prick the dorsal aspect of the ten fingers near the nails (about half a cun). Movement of the nail and bleeding from the skin/muscle at the pricked site brings relief. First, massage the arms downward to gather bad blood into the fingertips until it bleeds.
Detoxifying Arsenic Poisoning: Symptoms include restlessness like madness, twisting pain in the heart and abdomen, dizziness, urge to vomit but unable to, blue-black face and mouth, and cold extremities. Poison ingested with meat/rice is easier to treat; poison ingested with alcohol spreads to all vessels and is harder to treat. If toxin is in the chest/diaphragm, induce vomiting with Gua Di Xi Yan San (Melon Seed Saliva Powder). If in the abdomen, urgently administer Wan Bing Jie Du Dan (Ten Thousand Diseases Detoxifying Pill) to purge, or Da Cheng Qi Tang (Major Order the Qi Decoction) plus Xiong Huang (Realgar) and Qing Dai (Indigo Naturalis) in equal parts, decoct slightly, cool, and take slowly. Follow with Shen Ling Bai Zhu San (Ginseng, Poria, and Atractylodes Macrocephala Powder). Avoid chicken and goose meat for several days. Alternative: burn early rice stalks to ash, mix with well water, and take a bowl of thick cold juice. Toxin exits via stool. Alternatively, use sesame oil or human feces juice for irrigation. Another method: drink freshly drawn sheep, chicken, or duck blood while hot; also detoxifies mouse/manchurian aster poison and alchemical pill poison.
Detoxifying Chuan Wu (Sichuan Aconite) and Fu Zi (Prepared Aconite Lateral Root): Symptoms include irritability, stuffiness, severe dizziness, blackening of the whole body, critical condition leading to death. Decoct Lu Dou (Mung Bean) or Hei Dou (Black Soybean) and drink cold, or decoct Fang Feng (Saposhnikoviae Radix) and Gan Cao (Licorice Root) and drink cold. Applicable for all drug poisons and ingestion of hot-natured substances, provided the heart area remains warm. *Complete Works of Zhu Xi* states: In emergencies without medicine, have the person drink lots of fresh water continuously until large-scale vomiting and diarrhea occur, then recover.
Detoxifying Ba Dou (Croton Seed): Causes severe diarrhea or vomiting, irritability, thirst, and fever. Urgently decoct Huang Lian (Coptidis Rhizoma) and Huang Bo (Phellodendri Cortex) and drink cold. Soak palms and soles in cold water. Avoid hot drinks and hot-natured medicines.
Detoxifying Various Herb Poisons: For accidental ingestion of toxic herbs and general poisons, saving lives from certain death. Use Ban Lan Gen (Isatidis Radix) 4 liang, Guan Zhong (Cyrtomii Rhizoma), Qing Dai (Indigo Naturalis), and Sheng Gan Cao (Raw Licorice Root) 1 liang each. Grind into powder, make pills with steamed dough, size of Wuzi (wheat seeds), coat with Qing Dai (Indigo Naturalis). If feeling mental confusion or nausea, suspect poisoning. Urgently chew 15 pills, swallow with fresh water to detoxify.
Detoxifying Tofu Poison: Overconsumption causes sores, belching, seminal emission, and cloudy urine. Decoct raw Luo Bo (Radish) and drink, or use radish seeds.
Detoxifying Various Mushroom Poisons: Dig up new soil to get true yellow earth. Stir with cold water until turbid, let settle briefly, and drink the supernatant to detoxify. Also treats Feng Mu Jun (Maple Tree Mushroom) which causes uncontrollable laughter. Alternative: Yuan Hua Sheng (Genkwa Flos) ground into powder, take 1 qian with fresh water, stop when purged. Mushroom toxins are likely caused by熏蒸 (fumigation/vaporization) from snake and insect toxins.
Detoxifying Shu Mang (Manchurian Aster) Poison: Boil Da Hei Dou (Large Black Soybean) in water and drink. To verify efficacy, cut Shu Mang leaves, apply juice to roots, causing them to rot and die.
Detoxifying Zhen Bird (Poisonous Bird) Poison: Refers to Peacock feathers and gallbladder. Use Ge Gen (Puerariae Lobatae Radix) ground into powder, mixed with water and taken. Goose or duck poisoning: drink warm rice wash water to resolve.
Detoxifying Livestock Meat Poison: Grind Xi Jiao (Rhinocerotis Cornu - note: substitute with Buffalo Horn in modern practice, though text says Rhino) into thick juice, take one bowl. Poison from self-dying livestock: take Huang Bo (Phellodendri Cortex) powder 1-2 qian. Repeat if ineffective.
Detoxifying Pufferfish Poison: Causes sudden fatigue and death. Urgently induce vomiting with clear oil, or take Huai Hua (Sophorae Flos) powder or Long Nao (Borneolum Syntheticum) powder. Zhi Bao Dan (Precious Treasure Elixir) is especially good. Olive resolves various fish poisons.
Detoxifying Ban Mao (Mustard Beetle) Poison: Symptoms include incessant vomiting. Urgently decoct Lu Dou (Mung Bean), Wu Dou (Black Soybean), or Nu Mi (Glutinous Rice) and drink. Alternative: crush Ze Lan Ye (Lycopus Herba) for juice, or use dried powder with white tea soup.
Detoxifying Turtle, Clam, and Toad Poison: Take Sheng Dou Chi (Unfermented Soybean) 1 he, soak in half bowl of fresh water, drink immediately. These three substances cause urinary retention and severe lower abdominal pain, potentially fatal.
Detoxifying Jin Can Chong (Golden Silkworm Worm) Poison: Upon sensing poisoning, first suck Bai Fan (Alumen), which is sweet and not astringent. Then chew Hei Dou (Black Soybean) that is not fishy. Decoct Shi Liu Gen Pi (Pomegranate Root Bark) thickly and drink. Live worms will be vomited out; recovery is certain.
Detoxifying General Poisons: Mix Bai Fan (Alumen) and Xi Cha (Fine Tea) in equal parts, grind to powder. Take 3 qian with fresh water. Effective if vomiting occurs; repeat if no vomiting. Or use Wan Bing Jie Du Dan/Wan to purge.
Detoxifying Poison and Snake/Insect Bites, Early Carbuncles: Taking this prevents toxin accumulation. Mix Qing Dai (Indigo Naturalis) and Xiong Huang (Realgar) in equal parts, grind to powder. Take 2 qian with fresh water.
Accidental Swallowing of Copper, Iron, Bowls, Tiles: Wan Bing Jie Du Wan formula: Da Huang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma), Da Ji (Euphorbiae Pekinensis Radix), Lian Qiao (Forsythiae Fructus), Han Shui Shi (Halloysitum Rubrum) each 2 liang; Bai Yu Zan (Hedyotis Diffusa), Bai Zhi (Angelicae Dahuricae Radix), Huang Qin (Scutellariae Radix), Fu Ling (Poria), Shi Gao (Gypsum Fibrosum), Hua Shi (Talcum), Tian Hua Fen (Trichosanthis Radix) each 3 liang; Gan Cao (Licorice Root), Bo He (Menthae Haplocalycis Herba), Gan Ge (Puerariae Lobatae Radix) each 4 liang; Shan Ci Gu (Fritillariae Cirrhosae Bulbus) 6 liang; Guan Zhong (Cyrtomii Rhizoma) 1.5 liang; Qing Dai (Indigo Naturalis) 5 qian. Grind to powder, make pills with Lu Dou Fen (Mung Bean Starch) paste, size of bullet. Take one pill, grind with Bo He Tang (Mint Decoction) and swallow. Treats all poisonings, capable of dissolving copper, iron, bowls, and tiles into powder upon chewing. This is its verification. Furthermore, discuss poisoning symptoms. Differentiate between self-harm and homicide, identify the substance, assess proximity and duration; late stage is incurable. Treatment favors emesis. Probe throat with goose feather to induce vomiting. Urgently irrigate with Tong You (Tung Oil) to induce vomiting, then use Jie Du Wan (Detoxifying Pill) and Dian Jiang (Indigo Paste) to purge. Cyanosis of hands, feet, and face extending beyond elbows is incurable. In emergencies, use Xuan Ming Fen (Mirabilite) decocted with Gan Cao (Licorice Root) to purge; also effective.
Accidental Swallowing of Iron Needle: Cook Can Dou (Broad Bean) thoroughly, eat with Chinese Chive. Needle and vegetable pass out in stool.
Accidental Swallowing of Copper Coin: If indigestible, decoct Sha Ren (Amomi Fructus) thickly and drink; copper coin passes down. Or crush Bi Qi (Dioscorea Hypoglauca) and eat; copper dissolves. Or use hard charcoal powder mixed with rice drink; excreted like a dark plum in stool.
Accidental Swallowing of Centipede: Have patient eat raw pig blood. Shortly after, pour clear oil into mouth. Nausea ensues, centipede rolls in blood and is vomited. Follow with Xiong Huang (Realgar) powder mixed with water.
Accidental Swallowing of Leech: Enters abdomen, breeds small leeches over time, eats liver blood, causing unbearable abdominal pain, sallow thin face, loss of appetite. Without early treatment, leads to death. Take a small piece of dry field mud, 3-4 small dead fish, melt pig fat, mix with 10 crushed Ba Dou (Croton Seeds) into the mud. Make pills size of mung bean. Swallow 10 pills with cold field water (3-5 for children). Large and small leeches will be expelled simultaneously. Subsequently, decoct Si Wu Tang (Four Substance Decoction) with Huang Qi (Astragali Radix) to nourish blood and tonify spleen.
Bone Splinter in Throat: Mix Sha Ren (Amomi Fructus) and Gan Cao (Licorice Root) in equal parts, grind to powder. Wrap small amount in cotton, swallow. Bone comes out with phlegm later. For severe cases, use Nan Peng Sha (Borax), rinse with water, hold in mouth to dissolve. Alternative: chew Jin Feng Hua Zi (Seed of Golden Phoenix Flower) or root, hold in mouth to dissolve bone, rinse with warm water to protect teeth. Chicken bone is particularly effective. Fish bone see Volume 4. Beast bone: grind Ivory Comb with water and swallow; or use mulberry tree worm debris with rice vinegar; or dog saliva, as dogs digest bones well.
Grain Awl in Throat or Tongue: Irrigate with Goose Saliva; awl drops down, as geese digest grain awls well.
Tiger Bite: Drink one bowl of clear oil first, then wash wound with oil. Or apply Bai Fan (Alumen) powder to wound for immediate pain relief. Or mix sugar with water, apply and drink 1-2 bowls.
Horse Bite/Kick: Apply moxibustion to wound and swelling. Or burn human or horse manure to ash, powder, and apply.
Dog Bite: Mad dog bite: Fang Feng (Saposhnikoviae Radix) 5 qian, Qian Niu (Pharbitidis Semen), Da Huang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma) 3 qian each, Ban Mao (Mustard Beetle) 1 qian, She Xiang (Moschus) 3 fen, Xiong Huang (Realgar) 2.5 qian. Grind to powder. Take 3 qian with boiling water at time of injury. Purge bad matter via urine. Epileptic or normal dog bite: Hu Jing Gu (Tiger Tibia Bone) or Brain Bone powder, take 2 qian with hot wine or plain water. Alternative: sprinkle Bai Fan (Alumen) powder on wound, then take 9 Ban Mao (Mustard Beetles) ground with wine. Purge bad matter via urine for cure.
Snake Bite: Urgently drink two bowls of good vinegar to prevent toxin spreading with blood. Clear oil is also acceptable. Alternative: Bei Mu (Fritillariae Bulbus) powder mixed with wine, drink until drunk. Wine flows out from wound as water. When water stops, apply dregs to sore. If near death with faint breath, taking this restores life. Evil snake bite: Xi Xin (Asari Radix et Rhizoma), Bai Zhi (Angelicae Dahuricae Radix) 5 qian each, Xiong Huang (Realgar) 2 qian. Grind to powder. Take 2 qian with a little She Xiang (Moschus) and warm wine. Accidental drinking of snake mating water: grind Xiong Huang (Realgar) and take.
Mouse Bite: Burn cat fur to ash, add a little She Xiang (Moschus), mix with saliva, and apply.
Centipede Bite: Apply Chicken Droppings; effective. Alternative: Let spider absorb toxin. When spider dies from drunkenness, throw spider into cold water to save its life.
Spider Bite: Grind Tie Zhu (Iron Cudgel?) or Sang Bai Pi (Mori Cortex) with vinegar, apply. Also treats centipede bites.
Gecko Bite: Toxicity leads to death. Burn Sang Chai (Mulberry Firewood) to ash, decoct in water for 3-4 boils, filter thick juice, mix with Bai Fan (Alumen) powder, apply to wound. Also treats snake bites.
Earthworm Bite: Apply Chicken Droppings. Alternative: Decoct salt water, wash and soak swollen area to reduce swelling.
Eight-Legged Injury: Insect hides in walls, shoots feces on people, causing body-wide sores like burns. Burn Wu Ji Ling (Black Chicken Feather) to ash, mix with Egg White (Ji Zi Bai), apply.
Scorpion Sting: Unbearable pain. Mix Bai Fan (Alumen) and Ban Xia (Pinelliae Rhizoma) in equal parts, grind to powder, mix with vinegar, apply for pain relief.
Yellow Jacket Sting: Wash with hot oil. Clear oil application is also acceptable. Or apply head dirt, or rub with salt.
Stream Poison (and avoid She Gong): Summer travel. Carry Zhi Mu (Anemarrhenae Rhizoma) powder. Before entering water, apply a little upstream or take orally. Alternative: crush Cang Er Zi (Xanthii Fructus) for juice and drink. Above methods include self-prevention and accidental exposure. Human life is rare; how can one discard life lightly due to anger or indulgence? All living beings should beware!
Method to Stop Infant Crying for Escape: Make a small ball of cotton, sized to fill infant's mouth without blocking air. Dip in Gan Cao (Licorice Root) decoction or sweet substance. Bind in infant's mouth temporarily to suck taste. Object fills mouth, preventing sound. Cotton is soft and safe. This is from Song Dynasty Liu's *Xia Ri Ji*. Qiu Qiongshan said: This method is useless in peace, but in disasters, it saves countless infants. Infants don't understand warnings; crying attracts thieves. Desperately abandoned roadside, tragic! Though small, this method must be known.
Da Dao Wan (Great Way Pill) for Disaster Survival: Hei Dou (Black Soybean) 1 sheng, peeled. Guan Zhong (Cyrtomii Rhizoma), Gan Cao (Licorice Root) 1 liang each. Fu Ling (Poria), Cang Zhu (Atractylodis Rhizoma), Sha Ren (Amomi Fructus) 5 qian each. Chop finely. Decoct with 5 bowls of water together with beans. Control fire intensity.
