娠妊至八、九月间，忽然不语，谓之子喑。但当饮食调养，不须服药。昔黄帝问于岐伯
曰∶人有重身，九月而喑，何也？岐伯对曰∶胞胎系于肾，肾脉贯系舌本，故不能言。十月
分娩后，自为之言也。愚按肾脉贯系舌本，因胎气壅闭，肾脉阻塞，致不能言，自应调摄以
需之，不必惊畏。或用四物汤加茯神、远志数剂，亦可。倘妄为投药，恐反误事，慎之！
四物汤（见虚劳。
孕痈，腹内生痈也。生于有妊之时，犹为可畏，宜用千金牡丹皮散，或神效栝蒌散
治之。但丹皮、苡仁、桃仁，皆动胎之药，因有病则病当之，故无损也。
治肠痈之圣药。
丹皮（三两） 苡仁（四两） 栝蒌仁（去壳去油） 桃仁（去皮尖，双仁者，各一两
上为末。每服五、七钱，水煎服。若肠痈大便闭结，小腹坚肿，加大黄一钱五分；但有孕时，大黄不宜轻用，须斟
酌投之
治肠痈，并乳痈，及一切痈疽初起，肿痛即消，脓成即溃，脓溃即愈。
栝蒌（烂研，一枚） 生粉草 当归（酒洗，各五钱） 明乳香 没药（各一钱
水煎，热酒冲服，如量，渣再煎服，即消。
凡人脏腑安和，血气充实，精神健旺，荣卫条畅，则妖魅之气，安得而乘之？惟夫体质
虚衰，精神惑乱，以致邪气交侵，经闭腹大，如怀子之状。其面色青黄不泽，脉涩细，或乍
大乍小，两手如出两人，或寒热往来，此乃肝脾 郁之气，非胎也。宜用雄黄丸攻之，
而以各经见症之药，辅助元气。大法，肝经郁火，佐以逍遥散。脾气郁结，佐以归脾汤。脾
虚挟痰，佐以六君子汤。此症乃元气不足，病气有余，或经事愆期，失于调补所致。不可浪行
攻击而忘根本，则鬼胎行而元气无伤矣。复有梦与鬼交者，亦由气血空虚，神志惑乱，宜用
安神定志丸主之。
妊娠到了八、九个月时，突然不能说话，这叫做“子喑”。此时只需注意饮食调养，不需要服药。从前黄帝问岐伯说：“人有怀孕的情况，到第九个月时失音，这是为什么呢？”岐伯回答说：“胞胎系属于肾，肾脉贯穿并联系舌根，所以不能说话。”等到第十个月分娩之后，自然就能说话了。我认为肾脉贯穿联系舌根，因为胎气壅盛闭阻，导致肾脉阻塞，从而引起不能说话，应当通过调摄养护来等待恢复，不必惊慌畏惧。也可以使用四物汤（见虚劳章节）加入茯神、远志服用几剂，也是可以的。如果胡乱投药，恐怕反而误事，务必谨慎！
孕痈，是指腹内产生的痈肿。发生在怀孕期间，虽然令人畏惧，适宜使用千金牡丹皮散，或者神效栝蒌散来治疗。但是丹皮、苡仁、桃仁，都是具有动胎作用的药物，因为有病邪存在，药物作用主要在于治病，所以对胎儿没有损害。
这是治疗肠痈的圣药。

以上研为细末。每次服用五、七钱，用水煎服。如果是肠痈且大便闭结，小腹坚硬肿胀，加大黄一钱五分；但是在怀孕期间，大黄不宜轻易使用，必须斟酌后投药。
治疗肠痈，以及乳痈，和一切痈疽初起，肿痛立即消除，脓成立即溃破，脓溃后立即痊愈。
栝蒌（烂研，一枚） 生甘草 当归（酒洗，各五钱） 明乳香 没药（各一钱）
用水煎煮，用热酒冲服，根据酒量适量服用，药渣再煎服，即可消除。
大凡人的脏腑安和，血气充实，精神健旺，营卫条畅，那么妖魅之气，怎么能乘虚而入呢？只有那些体质虚衰，精神惑乱，以致邪气交相侵袭，导致经闭腹大，像怀孕一样的状况。其面色青黄无光泽，脉象涩细，或者忽大忽小，两手脉搏感觉像两个人一样，或者寒热往来，这是肝脾郁结之气，不是胎孕。适宜使用雄黄丸攻逐邪气，并配合各经见到症状的药物，辅助元气。大法则是：肝经郁火，佐以逍遥散；脾气郁结，佐以归脾汤；脾虚挟痰，佐以六君子汤。这种病症乃是元气不足，病气有余，或者是月经愆期，失于调补所导致的。不可盲目进行攻伐而忘记根本，这样鬼胎去除而元气就不会受伤了。又有梦见与鬼性交的人，也是由于气血空虚，神志惑乱，适宜使用安神定志丸为主进行治疗。
During the eighth or ninth month of pregnancy, if a woman suddenly loses her voice, it is called "Zi Yin" (Fetal Aphonia). At this time, one should only adjust diet and nourish the body; medication is not required. In ancient times, the Yellow Emperor asked Qibo: "When a person is pregnant, why do they lose their voice in the ninth month?" Qibo replied: "The fetal sac is connected to the Kidney. The Kidney meridian passes through and connects to the root of the tongue; therefore, speech is impaired. After delivery in the tenth month, speech will naturally return." I observe that the Kidney meridian connects to the root of the tongue. Due to the congestion and obstruction of fetal Qi, the Kidney meridian becomes blocked, leading to aphonia. One should naturally rely on care and nursing to wait for recovery, without need for alarm or fear. Alternatively, Siwu Tang (Four Substance Decoction) (see Xu Lao) with Fushen (Poria with Hostwood) and Yuanzhi (Polygala Root) taken for several doses is also acceptable. If medicines are administered recklessly, it may cause further harm; caution is advised!
Yun Yong (Pregnancy Carbuncle) refers to carbuncles developing within the abdomen. Although occurring during pregnancy is frightening, it is suitable to treat with Qianjin Mudanpi San (Million Gold Moutan Cortex Powder) or Shenxiao Gualou San (Miraculous Efficacy Trichosanthes Fruit Powder). However, Mudanpi (Moutan Cortex), Yiren (Coix Seed), and Taoren (Persicae Semen) are all herbs that can disturb the fetus. Because there is an existing disease, the medicinal action targets the pathogen, thus causing no harm to the fetus.
This is the sacred medicine for treating Chang Yong (Intestinal Abscess).
Mudanpi (3 liang) Yiren (4 liang) Gualou Ren (Shelled and oil-free) Taoren (Skin and tip removed, double-kernel ones, each 1 liang)
Grind into powder. Take 5-7 qian per dose, decocted in water. If intestinal abscess presents with constipation and a hard, swollen lower abdomen, add Dahuang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma) 1.5 qian; however, during pregnancy, Dahuang should not be used lightly and must be carefully considered before administration.
Treats Chang Yong (Intestinal Abscess), Ru Yong (Breast Abscess), and the initial stage of all sores and ulcers. Swelling and pain subside immediately; upon suppuration, it ruptures; after rupture, healing occurs.
Gualou (Mashed, 1 fruit) Sheng Gancao (Raw Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma) Danggui (Wine-washed, each 5 qian) Ming Ruxiang (Boswelliae Fructus) Moyao (Commiphora Myrrha Resina, each 1 qian)
Decoct in water, take with hot wine according to tolerance. The dregs should be decocted again and taken, which will resolve the condition.
Generally, when the Zang-Fu organs are harmonious, Blood and Qi are abundant, Spirit is vigorous, and Ying and Wei (Nutritive and Defensive Qi) flow smoothly, how can demonic influences take advantage? Only when constitution is weak and spirit is confused does evil Qi invade, leading to amenorrhea and abdominal distension resembling pregnancy. The complexion is dull yellow-green, the pulse is choppy and fine, or fluctuating between large and small; the pulses in both hands feel as if from two different people; or there is alternating chills and fever. This is due to Liver and Spleen Qi stagnation, not a fetus. It is appropriate to use Xionghuang Wan (Realgar Pill) to attack the pathogen, assisted by herbs corresponding to symptoms in the respective meridians to support Yuan Qi (Primary Qi). The general principle is: for Liver Meridian stagnant fire, assist with Xiaoyao San (Free and Easy Wanderer Powder); for Spleen Qi stagnation, assist with Guipi Tang (Restore the Spleen Decoction); for Spleen deficiency with phlegm, assist with Liujunzi Tang (Six Gentlemen Decoction). This condition results from insufficient Yuan Qi and excess pathogenic Qi, or missed menses due to lack of regulation and tonification. One must not blindly attack while forgetting the root; thus, the "Ghost Fetus" is expelled without injuring Yuan Qi. Furthermore, those who dream of intercourse with ghosts also suffer from empty Blood and Qi and confused spirit; Anshen Dingzhi Wan (Calming the Spirit and Stabilizing Will Pill) should be the primary treatment.
