The main trunk of the vessel re-enters from the Heart system, ascends to the Lung, and descends out from the axilla (The Lung Meridian emerges horizontally from the Lung System into the axilla; the Heart Meridian emerges from the Lung into the axilla; the Pericardium Meridian reaches the axilla from below the hypochondrium). It then descends along the posterior medial aspect of the arm, running posterior to the Taiyin (Lung) and Jueyin (Pericardium) meridians, and descends into the elbow interior (Shenhai [HT3]). It follows the posterior medial aspect of the forearm (One and a half cun above the wrist crease on the posterior medial aspect is Lingdao [HT4]), reaching the end of the styloid process of the ulna at the wrist (Shenmen [HT7]). It enters the posterior medial aspect of the palm (In the depression proximal to the head of the fifth metacarpal bone on the posterior medial aspect is Shaofu [HT8]). It follows the medial aspect of the little finger and emerges at its tip (Shaochong [HT9], located at the radial corner of the tip of the little finger).
The Small Intestine Meridian of Hand-Taiyang originates at the ulnar side of the tip of the little finger (Shaoze [SI1]). It follows the lateral aspect of the hand (Qian Gu [SI2] is in the depression anterior to the head of the fifth metacarpal bone; Hou Xi [SI3] is in the depression posterior to the head of the fifth metacarpal bone), ascends to the wrist (The junction between the distal forearm and the hand is called the wrist. Wangu [SI4] is in the depression within the prominence of the pisiform bone anterior to the wrist; Yanggu [SI5] is in the depression at the center of the wrist joint). It emerges from the malleolus (styloid process of the ulna), ascends straight along the medial border of the ulna, emerges between the two tendons at the medial aspect of the elbow (Shenhai [HT3]), ascends along the posterior lateral aspect of the upper arm, emerges from the shoulder joint, circles the scapula, intersects at the shoulders, enters the supraclavicular fossa (Quepen), connects with the Heart, follows the pharynx, descends through the diaphragm, reaches the Stomach, and belongs to the Small Intestine. Its branch arises from the supraclavicular fossa, follows the neck up to the cheek, reaches the outer canthus of the eye, and re-enters the ear. Another branch diverges from the cheek, ascends to the zygomatic arch, reaches the nose, arrives at the inner canthus of the eye, and obliquely connects with the zygomatic region.
The Bladder Meridian of Foot-Taiyang originates at the inner canthus of the eye, ascends to the forehead, and intersects at the vertex. Its branch travels from the vertex to the superior angle of the ear. The main trunk enters the brain from the vertex, emerges again, descends separately down the nape, follows the medial aspect of the shoulder blade, flanks the spine, reaches the middle of the waist, enters the muscles of the sacrum (Lü), connects with the Kidney, and belongs to the Bladder. Its branch descends from the middle of the waist, flanks the spine, penetrates the buttocks, and enters the popliteal fossa (The central artery in the popliteal fossa where the thigh meets the calf is called Pizhong; this is Weizhong [BL40]). Another branch descends from the shoulder...
