〔海〕牙齿等龋，数年不愈，当作阳明蓄血治之。用桃仁承气汤为细末，炼蜜丸，桐子大服之。好饮过者
多得此疾，屡服有效。（桃仁承气汤方见伤寒。）
〔丹〕治蛀牙痛。纳藜芦细末于孔中，勿咽津，神妙。又方，用江子香油灯上烧过，填入穴内。
〔世〕治蛀牙肿痛。用不蛀皂角一锭，去皮子，却用巴豆，每于皂子处安巴豆一粒，用盐泥固济，烧灰研
细末，用剜耳子抄少许，填入蛀牙内。
〔《外》〕疗齿龋痛有虫。取雄雀粪，以绵裹塞孔内，日一二次易之，良。
〔丹〕 齿。用芦荟四分，炒研细，先用盐揩净齿，敷少许。一方，用芦荟、白胶香塞蛀孔内。蛀牙，取松
脂锐如锥者塞孔中，少顷虫出脂上。
〔《本》〕治牙疼。
鹤虱 细辛 白芷 干茄（各等分）
上件为末，每用少许揩痛处，如有蛀孔，用饭丸药末塞孔中，立效。
〔世〕治牙蛀疼。用鹤虱枝插患处，立愈。
〔罗〕麝香散
麝香（一钱） 铜绿（五分） 白芨 白矾（各二钱半） 白蔹（三钱半）
上细末，每少许贴牙患处。
〔丹〕虫蚀牙根肉腐。用棘针烧取沥敷十余次。又，研雄黄末敷，愈。
〔梅〕治牙虫痛不可忍，嚼薰陆香，咽其汁，立瘥。（即乳香之类。）
〔丹〕又方，治牙虫腐烂。用棘针二百枚，用水二升，煮一升含之，妙。
〔张〕治龋齿。以郁李根白皮水煮浓汁含之，冷即易之，效。
〔《山》〕蛀牙。温米醋漱，出虫自愈。又，风蛀牙疼。用香白芷、细辛煎漱之。又，丝瓜儿烧灰存性，
擦之。
〔《竹》〕虫牙疼。天仙子不以多少，烧烟用竹筒抵牙引烟熏之，其虫即死，永不再发。
〔世〕治蛀牙。用小瓦片置油拌韭子，烧烟，阁在水碗上，恰用漏斗覆之，以蛀牙受漏斗口中烟，其牙内
虫如针者，皆落水碗中，累效。
〔罗〕救苦散 治一切牙痛及塞风蛀牙疼。
草乌 川乌 桂花 良姜 红豆 胡椒 荜茇 细辛（各五分） 石膏 官桂（各三钱）
上细末，先漱净里外，干掺之，出涎立愈。
荜茇散 治风蛀牙疼。
荜茇（二钱） 蝎梢 高良姜（各一分） 草乌尖（五分）
上为细末，每用半字，先含水一口应痛处，鼻内搐上，吐了水，用指粘药少许擦牙疼痛处，兼治
偏正头疼。
〔《经》〕治大人小儿多年牙齿不生。用黑豆三十粒，牛粪火内烧令烟尽，细研，入麝香少许，一处研匀。
先以针挑不生牙处令血出，用药少许揩，不得见风，忌酸咸物。
【海藏】牙齿等部位发生龋坏，数年不愈，应当当作阳明蓄血证来治疗。使用桃仁承气汤制成细末，用炼蜜做成丸药，大小如梧桐子，服用它。喜好饮酒过度的人，大多得此病，多次服用有效。（桃仁承气汤的方剂见《伤寒论》。）
【丹溪】治疗蛀牙疼痛。将藜芦的细末纳入蛀孔中，不要吞咽唾液，效果神妙。另一个方子，用江子（巴豆）在香油灯上烧过，填入蛀孔内。
【世医】治疗蛀牙肿痛。取一段不腐烂的皂角，去掉皮和种子，然后在皂角子的位置安放一粒巴豆，用盐泥密封固定，烧成灰后研成细末，用挖耳勺舀取少许，填入蛀牙内。
【《外台秘要》】治疗齿龋疼痛且有虫。取雄雀粪，用棉絮包裹塞入蛀孔内，每天更换一到两次，效果良好。
【丹溪】治疗蛀牙。用芦荟四分，炒后研细，先用盐擦净牙齿，敷上少许。另一个方子，用芦荟、白胶香塞入蛀孔内。对于蛀牙，取尖锐如锥子的松脂塞入孔中，片刻之后虫子会爬出并停留在松脂上。
【《本草》】治疗牙疼。
鹤虱、细辛、白芷、干茄（各等分）
以上药材研为细末，每次取少许擦拭疼痛处，如果有蛀孔，用饭团粘住药末塞入孔中，立即见效。
【罗谦甫】麝香散
麝香（一钱） 铜绿（五分） 白芨、白矾（各二钱半） 白蔹（三钱半）
以上研为细末，每次取少许贴在牙齿患处。
【丹溪】虫蚀导致牙根肉腐烂。用棘针烧取汁液涂抹十余次。另外，研碎雄黄末涂抹，也能治愈。
【梅氏】治疗牙虫疼痛难以忍受，咀嚼薰陆香（即乳香之类），咽下其汁液，立即痊愈。
【丹溪】又一方，治疗牙虫腐烂。用棘针二百枚，用水二升，煮至一升，含漱于口中，效果奇妙。
【张氏】治疗龋齿。用郁李根白皮水煮成浓汁含漱，变冷就更换，有效。
【《山居》】蛀牙。用温米醋漱口，虫子出来即可自愈。另外，风蛀牙疼。用香白芷、细辛煎汤漱口。还有，将丝瓜儿烧灰保留药性，擦拭患处。
【《竹谱》】虫牙疼。天仙子不限多少，燃烧产生烟雾，用竹筒抵住牙齿引导烟雾熏之，虫子就会死亡，永不复发。
【世医】治疗蛀牙。用小瓦片放置拌有油的韭子，烧烟，搁置在水碗上方，恰好用漏斗覆盖，让蛀牙对准漏斗口接受烟雾，牙内的如针一样的虫子都会落入水碗中，屡次有效。
【罗谦甫】救苦散 治疗一切牙痛及受风蛀牙疼。
草乌、川乌、桂花、良姜、红豆、胡椒、荜茇、细辛（各五分） 石膏、官桂（各三钱）
以上研为细末，先漱口清洁内外，干燥状态下掺药粉，流出涎液后立即痊愈。
荜茇散 治疗风蛀牙疼。
荜茇（二钱） 蝎梢、高良姜（各一分） 草乌尖（五分）
以上研为细末，每次用半字量，先含水一口对准疼痛处，从鼻孔吸入药粉，吐掉水，用手指蘸少许药粉擦拭牙齿疼痛处，兼治偏头痛和正头痛。
【《经》】治疗大人小孩多年牙齿不生。用黑豆三十粒，在牛粪火中烧至烟尽，细细研磨，加入少许麝香，一起研匀。先用针挑破不长牙的地方使其出血，用药粉少许擦拭，不得见风，忌食酸咸食物。
[Hai Zang] If teeth or other areas suffer from dental caries that persist for years without healing, it should be treated as Yangming Blood Stasis Syndrome (Yangming Xuexu Zheng, a syndrome characterized by blood stasis in the Yangming channel). Use Tao Ren Cheng Qi Tang (Peach Kernel Decoction to Order the Qi) ground into fine powder, formed into pills with refined honey, sized like wutong seeds, and taken orally. Those who indulge in excessive alcohol consumption are prone to this disease; repeated administration is effective. (The formula for Tao Ren Cheng Qi Tang can be found in Shanghan Lun.)
[Dan Xi] To treat toothache caused by dental caries. Insert fine powder of Lili Rhizome (Lilu, *Veratrum nigrum*) into the cavity. Do not swallow saliva; the effect is miraculous. Another prescription: burn Jiang Zi (Jiangzi, *Croton tiglium*) over an oil lamp and fill it into the cavity.
[World Physicians] To treat swollen and painful dental caries. Take a piece of non-rotting Gleditsia Sinensis Fruit (Zaojiao, *Gleditsia sinensis*), remove the peel and seeds, then place one seed of Croton Tiglium Seed (Badou, *Croton tiglium*) at the position of the Gleditsia seed. Seal firmly with salt mud, burn to ash, and grind into fine powder. Use an ear-pick to scoop a small amount and fill it into the decayed tooth.
*[Waitai Mi Yao]* To treat toothache due to dental caries with worms. Take male sparrow feces, wrap in cotton, and insert into the cavity. Change once or twice daily; it is effective.
[Dan Xi] For dental caries. Use four fen of Aloe Vera (Luhui, *Aloe vera*), stir-fry and grind finely. First clean the teeth with salt, then apply a small amount. Another prescription: insert Aloe Vera and White Kolophony (Bai Jiaoxiang, *Pinus resinosa*) into the carious cavity. For dental caries, take pine resin sharp as a cone and insert it into the hole; after a short while, the worm will emerge onto the resin.
*[Bencao]* To treat toothache.
Artemisia Sieversiana Herb (Heshi, *Artemisia sieversiana*), Asarum Root (Xixin, *Asarum heterotropoides*), Angelica Dahurica Root (Baizhi, *Angelica dahurica*), Dried Eggplant (Qie, *Solanum melongena*) (equal parts).
Grind the above ingredients into powder. Apply a small amount to the painful area. If there is a cavity, form the powder into a pill with rice paste and insert it into the cavity; immediate relief is achieved.
[World Physicians] To treat toothache from dental caries. Insert Heshi branch into the affected area; immediate cure.
[Luo Qianfu] Shexiang San (Musk Powder)
Musk (Shexiang, *Moschus*) (1 qian), Verdigris (Tonglv, *Cupri Acetas*) (5 fen), Bletilla Striate Tuber (Baiji, *Bletilla striata*), Alum (Baifan, *Alumen*) (2.5 qian each), Ampelopsis Japonica Rhizome (Bailian, *Ampelopsis japonica*) (3.5 qian).
Grind finely. Apply a small amount to the diseased tooth.
[Dan Xi] When worms erode the gum causing rot. Burn a thorny needle to extract its exudate and apply it more than ten times. Alternatively, grind Realgar (Xionghuang, *Realgar*) into powder and apply; it cures the condition.
[Mei Shi] To treat unbearable pain from tooth-worms. Chew Frankincense (Xunluxiang, *Boswellia carterii*, similar to Ruxiang), swallow the juice; immediate recovery.
[Dan Xi] Another prescription for tooth-worm rot. Boil two hundred thorny needles in two sheng of water until reduced to one sheng. Hold in the mouth; excellent effect.
[Zhang Shi] To treat dental caries. Boil the white bark of Prunus Simonii Root (Yuligen Baipi, *Prunus simonii*) to make a concentrated decoction. Hold in the mouth and replace when cool; effective.
*[Shanju]* Dental caries. Rinse with warm rice vinegar; the worm will exit and heal spontaneously. Also, for wind-induced carious toothache. Decoct Fragrant Angelica Root (Xiang Baizhi, *Angelica dahurica*) and Asarum Root (Xixin, *Asarum heterotropoides*) to rinse the mouth. Additionally, burn Luffa Cylindrica Fruit (Sigua'er, *Luffa cylindrica*) to ash retaining its nature, and rub on the area.
*[Zhupu]* Toothache from worms. Tianxianzi (Hyoscyamus Niger Seed, *Hyoscyamus niger*), any quantity. Burn to produce smoke, use a bamboo tube to direct the smoke into the tooth; the worm dies and never recurs.
[World Physicians] To treat dental caries. Place a small tile with Jiuzi (Allium Tuberosum Seed, *Allium tuberosum*) mixed with oil, burn to produce smoke. Place over a bowl of water, cover with a funnel so the smoke enters the carious tooth through the funnel's opening. Worms resembling needles inside the tooth will fall into the water bowl; repeatedly effective.
[Luo Qianfu] Jiuku San (Relieve Suffering Powder) Treats all types of toothache and wind-induced carious toothache.
Caowu (Aconitum Carmichaelii Dehiscent Root, *Aconitum carmichaelii*), Chuanwu (Aconitum Carmichaelii Lateral Root, *Aconitum carmichaelii*), Osmanthus Flower (Guihua, *Osmanthus fragrans), Galangal (Liangjiang, *Alpinia officinarum*), Red Bean (Hongdou, *Vigna angularis*), Pepper (Hujiao, *Piper nigrum*), Long Pepper (Bibo, *Piper longum*), Asarum Root (Xixin, *Asarum heterotropoides*) (5 fen each), Gypsum (Shigao, *Gypsum Fibrosum*), Cassia Twig (Guangui, *Cinnamomum cassia*) (3 qian each).
Grind finely. Rinse mouth thoroughly first, then apply dry powder. Salivation will occur followed by immediate cure.
Bibo San (Long Pepper Powder) Treats wind-induced carious toothache.
Long Pepper (Bibo, *Piper longum*) (2 qian), Scorpion Tail (Xieshao, *Scorpio*), Galangal (Gaoliangjiang, *Alpinia officinarum*) (1 fen each), Tip of Caowu (Caowu Jian, *Aconitum carmichaelii*) (5 fen).
Grind finely. Use half a zi per dose. First hold a mouthful of water aimed at the painful spot, inhale the powder through the nose, spit out the water, then use a finger dipped in a small amount of powder to rub the painful tooth. Also treats lateral and frontal headaches.
*[Jing]* To treat adults and children whose teeth have not grown for many years. Use thirty black soybeans, burn in cow dung fire until smoke ceases, grind finely, add a little Musk (Shexiang, *Moschus*), and mix evenly. First, prick the area where teeth are not growing with a needle to induce bleeding, then rub with a small amount of medicine. Avoid wind; avoid sour and salty foods.
