独形而小核者，为结核。
〔河〕结核，火气热甚则郁结坚硬，如果中核也，不须溃发，但热气散则自消。
〔丹〕结核，或在项、在颈、在臂、在身，如肿毒者，多在皮里膜外，多是痰注作核不散，问其
平日好食何物？吐下后，用药散核。结核在颈项方。
僵蚕（炒） 大黄（酒浸） 青黛 胆星（各等分）
上为末，蜜丸噙。
结核在下颏。二陈汤加酒炒大黄、连翘、桔梗、柴胡。结核在臂。二陈汤加连翘、防风、川
芎、酒芩、苍术、皂角刺、僵蚕、麝香，行太阴、厥阴之积痰，使结核自消，甚捷。
〔《济》〕治颏下结核不消，《经效》用大肚蜘蛛，不拘几个，以好酒浸之，研烂，同浸酌
酒，去渣，温热，临卧服之。
〔《灵》〕虚邪之入于身也深，寒与热相搏，久留而内着，寒胜其热则骨疼肉枯；热胜其寒
则烂肉腐肌为脓；内伤骨，内伤骨为骨蚀，有所疾前筋，（“疾前”二字，衍文也，筋当作“结”。）
筋屈不得伸，邪气居其间而不反，发为筋溜。有所结，气归之，卫气留之，不得反，津液久留，
合为肠溜。久者数岁乃成，以手按之柔，已有所结，气归之，津液留之，邪气中之，凝结日以易
甚，连以聚居，为昔瘤。以手按之坚，有所结，深中骨，气因于骨，骨与气并，日以益大，则
为骨疽。有所结，中于肉，宗气居之，邪留而不去，有热则化而为脓，无热则为肉疽。凡此
数气者，其发无常处，而有常名也。（刺节真邪篇 此皆虚邪中人为病弗去而久留着，故积岁累
月而成疽瘤也。）
〔子和〕新寨一妇人，年四十余，有瘤三瓣，戴人令以咸吐之。三涌、三汗、三下，瘿已消半。
次服化瘿之药，遂大消去。夫病在上者，皆宜吐，亦自有消息之法耳。
〔河〕瘤气赤瘤丹 ，热胜气也，火之色也。
〔丹〕瘿气先须断浓味。
海藻（洗，一两） 黄连（二两）
上为末，以少许置掌中，时时舐之，津咽下。如消三分之二，须止后服。一方，用黄柏二两，
海藻一两，不用黄连亦佳。
治瘿气结核，累累肿硬。以昆布一两，洗去咸，捣为末，每用一钱。绵裹于好醋中浸过，含
之咽津，药味尽，再噙之。
〔《肘》〕治颈下卒结囊，欲成瘿。海藻一斤，洗去咸，酒浸饮之。
〔无〕破结散
海藻（洗） 草龙胆 海蛤 通草 昆布 矾石（枯） 松萝（各三分） 麦面（四分）

为末，酒服方寸匕，日三。忌鲫鱼、猪肉、五辛、生菜、诸杂毒物。十日知，二十日愈。
〔《济》〕玉壶散治三种瘿。

上等分为细末，陈米饮丸，如榛子大，噙化。以炼蜜丸，亦好。
〔子和〕人参化瘿丹
海带（洗） 海藻（洗） 海蛤 昆布（以上四味皆焙） 泽泻（炒） 连翘（以上各等分）
猪靥 羊靥（各十枚，猪羊靥即猪羊外肾，乃囊中之卵也）
上为末，蜜丸，如鸡头大。临卧噙化一二丸，忌油腻物。
〔罗〕宝金散偏医瘿气无不瘥。
猪羊靥（十对。暖水洗去脂膜后晒干，杵为细末） 海藻（洗） 海带（各二两。洗）
丁香 木香 琥珀（研） 麝香（研，各一分） 真朱（研，半两）
上件，先将丁香、木香、海藻、海带杵为细末，入下项药味，合和再研细，重罗过，每服一
钱，热酒一盏调服，夜卧服，垂头而睡。若在室男女，十服必效。如男子、妇人患者，一月见效，
有胎不可服。
海带丸治瘿气，久不消。
海藻（洗） 贝母 青皮 陈皮
上件，各等分为细末，炼蜜为丸，如弹子大。食后噙化一丸，大效。
〔罗〕枯瘤方名一井散
砂 粉霜 雄黄（以上各二钱） 轻粉 没药 乳香（以上各一钱） 土黄（三钱，做土黄法∶
砒黄另末二两，木鳖子半两去壳，巴豆半两去油， 砂另为末二钱，上以砒黄一处为末，用木鳖
子同石脑油成一块，油纸裹定，埋于地坑内四十九日，取出于瓷器盛，掰作小块研细，少许。
砒黄即雌黄）
上为细末，以津调涂瘤顶，外边歇一韭叶，先以花纸贴之，上用小黄膏贴之。
小黄膏
黄柏 黄芩 大黄（各等分）
上为细末，以水调为糊，比前药大一遭，三日一易，至八九日不取，直候可取。一方，单用
黄柏末亦佳。
〔丹〕小儿丹瘤。蓖麻子五个，去皮，研入面一匙，水调涂之，甚妙。（出小儿门。）
〔罗〕生肌青龙散
诃子皮 高茶 龙骨
上件各等分为细末，干掺上。
又枯瘤方
砒 砂 黄丹 雄黄 轻粉（以上各一钱） 斑蝥（生用，三十个） 朱砂 乳香 没药（各一钱）
上研为末，糯米粥为丸，捏作棋子样，爆干。先灸破瘤顶三炷，以药饼盖上，用黄柏末以水
调贴之，数日，
自然枯干落下。
一方以铜绿为末，草刺瘤破，掺上以膏药涂之。
〔世〕点瘤 方神验。
桑柴灰 枣树灰 黄荆灰 桐壳灰（各二升半） 荞麦灰（少）
上以沸汤淋汁五碗许，澄清，入斑蝥四十个，穿山甲五片，乳香、脑子不拘多少，约五碗
煎作二碗，用瓷器盛之。乳香、脑子，候冷入之。后临用时，入新锻石调成膏，神妙。敷瘤上，
干以清水润之，其效如神。
〔罗〕枯瘤方
桑柴灰（三碗） 锻石（三碗） 朽木（三两） 干桑耳（三两） 草乌（半斤） 川乌（四两）
上朽木等四味，一处烧灰，令存性，同前二灰研匀，用水一桶，淋汁，如法熬成膏用之。
〔东〕诸瘿恶气∶肩 （男左灸十八壮，右十七壮。女右灸十八壮，左十七壮。）
又法∶天府（七七壮） 冲阳（随年壮。）
〔《甲》〕瘿，天窗（一作天容，《千金》作天府）及 会主之。瘿瘤，气舍主之。
〔子和〕在西华，众人皆讪以为吐泻而已。一日，魏寿之与戴人入食肆中，见一夫病一瘤，正
当目上网内 ，色如灰李，下垂覆目睛，不能视物。戴人谓寿之曰∶吾不待食熟，立取此瘤。
魏未之信也。戴人曰∶吾与尔取此瘤何如？其人曰∶人皆不敢割。戴人曰∶吾非用刀割，别有
一术。其人从之。乃引入一小室中，令俯卧一床，以绳束其 ，刺委中大出血，先令以手揉其目
瘤上，亦刺出雀粪，立平出户。寿之大惊。戴人曰∶人之有技，可尽窥乎。郜城，戴人之乡也。
一女子未嫁，年十八，两手背皆有瘤，一类鸡距，一类羊角，腕不能钏，向明望之，如桃胶然。
夫家欲弃之，戴人见之曰∶在手背者，为胶瘤，在面者，为粉瘤，此胶瘤也。以 针十字刺破，
按出黄胶脓三二匙，立平。瘤核更不再作，婚事复成。非素明者，不敢用此法耳。
〔《本》〕治果报面生 瘤。方用艾丸灸十壮，即用醋磨硫黄，涂纸上，剪如螺蛳掩子大，
贴所灸处。更
用膏药重贴，二日一换，候痒挤出脓，如绿豆粉即愈。硫黄，罗谦甫作雄黄。
〔无〕瘿多着于肩项，瘤则随气凝结，此等皆年数深远，浸大浸长。坚硬不可移者，名曰石瘿。
皮色不变者，名曰肉瘿。筋脉露结者，名曰筋瘿。赤脉交结者，名曰血瘿。随忧愁消长者，名曰
气瘿。五瘿皆不可妄决破，决破则脓血崩溃，多致夭枉。瘤则有五，骨瘤、脂瘤、肉瘤、脓瘤、
血瘤，亦不可决溃，肉瘤尤不可治，治则杀人。唯脂瘤，破而去其脂粉则愈。
〔丹〕服瘿瘤药，先须断浓味。
只有形状像小核一样的，称为结核。
〔河间〕结核，是因为火气热盛导致郁结坚硬，就像果核一样，不需要溃破排脓，只要热气消散就会自然消除。
〔丹溪〕结核，可能出现在颈部、颈侧、手臂或身体其他部位，像肿毒一样，多在皮肤与筋膜之间，大多是由于痰湿凝聚成核不散。需要询问患者平时喜欢吃什么食物？在服用吐法或下法之后，再用药物散核。治疗颈部结核的方剂：
僵蚕（炒制） 大黄（用酒浸泡） 青黛 胆南星（各等分）
以上药物研为细末，用蜂蜜制成丸药，含化服用。
位于下巴颏下的结核：二陈汤加酒炒大黄、连翘、桔梗、柴胡。
位于手臂的结核：二陈汤加连翘、防风、川芎、酒黄芩、苍术、皂角刺、僵蚕、麝香，以疏通手太阴肺经和足厥阴肝经的积滞痰浊，使结核自然消散，效果非常迅速。
〔《济生方》〕治疗下巴颏下结核不消，《经效方》使用大肚蜘蛛，不限数量，用好酒浸泡，捣烂，连同浸泡的酒一起饮用，过滤去渣，温热后临睡前服用。
〔《灵枢》〕虚邪侵入人体很深，寒邪与热邪相互搏结，长久停留并深入体内附着。寒邪胜过热邪则骨头疼痛、肌肉枯槁；热邪胜过寒邪则腐烂肌肉化为脓液；内伤骨骼，损伤骨骼导致骨蚀；如果前筋受伤（“疾前”二字是衍文，筋字应为“结”），筋脉屈曲不能伸展，邪气停留在其间而不返回，发为筋溜。如果有结聚，气归向那里，卫气停留在那里，不能返回，津液长久停留，结合形成肠溜。长久的要几年才形成，用手按压感觉柔软。已经有结聚，气归向那里，津液停留，邪气侵入其中，凝结程度每天加重，连接聚集在一起，形成昔瘤。用手按压感觉坚硬。如果有结聚，深中于骨，气依附于骨，骨与气相并，每天增大，则形成骨疽。如果有结聚，中于肌肉，宗气居于其中，邪气停留不去，有热则化为脓，无热则形成肉疽。这些气机病变，发作没有固定的位置，但有固定的名称。（出自《刺节真邪篇》，这些都是虚邪中人致病，病邪不去而长久留滞，所以经过年复一年才形成疽瘤。）
〔子和〕新寨有一位妇人，四十多岁，长了三个瓣状的瘤，戴人让她用咸味催吐。三次涌吐、三次发汗、三次泻下，瘿瘤已经消了一半。接着服用化瘿的药物，于是大大消退去除。凡是病在上部的，都适宜用吐法，自有其斟酌运用的方法罢了。
〔河间〕瘤气赤瘤丹，是热胜气的表现，是火的色泽。
〔丹溪〕治疗瘿气必须先断绝浓味饮食。
海藻（洗净，一两） 黄连（二两）
以上研为细末，取少许放在手掌中，时时舔舐，让唾液咽下。如果消去了三分之二，必须停止后续服药。另一方案，用黄柏二两，海藻一两，不用黄连也很好。
治疗瘿气结核，累累肿硬。用昆布一两，洗净去掉咸味，捣为细末，每次用一钱。用绵纸包裹在好醋中浸过，含在口中吞咽津液，药味尽后再含服。
〔《肘后备急方》〕治疗颈下突然结成囊状，欲形成瘿。海藻一斤，洗净去掉咸味，用酒浸泡后饮用。
〔无求子〕破结散
海藻（洗净） 草龙胆 海蛤 通草 昆布 矾石（煅枯） 松萝（各三分） 麦面（四分）
半夏 贝母（各二分）
研为细末，用酒送服一方寸匕大小的药量，每日三次。忌食鲫鱼、猪肉、五辛、生菜、各种杂毒食物。十天见效，二十天痊愈。

海带丸治疗瘿气，长久不消。

以上各等分为细末，用炼蜜制成丸药，如弹子大小。饭后含化一丸，效果显著。
〔罗谦甫〕枯瘤方名为一井散
砒霜 粉霜 雄黄（以上各二钱） 轻粉 没药 乳香（以上各一钱） 土黄（三钱，制作土黄的方法：雌黄另研为细末二两，木鳖子半两去壳，巴豆半两去油，砒霜另研为细末二钱，以上将雌黄一处研为细末，用木鳖子同石脑油合成一块，用油纸包好，埋在地坑内四十九天，取出放在瓷器中储存，掰作小块研细，少许。砒黄即雌黄）
以上研为细末，用唾液调和涂抹在瘤顶，外边垫一片韭菜叶，先用花纸贴上，上面用小黄膏贴敷。
小黄膏
黄柏 黄芩 大黄（各等分）
以上研为细末，用水调成糊状，比前面的药大一圈，三天更换一次，直到第八九日不取下，直接等待可以取下为止。另一方案，单用黄柏末也很好。
〔丹溪〕小儿丹瘤。蓖麻子五个，去皮，研碎加入一匙面粉，用水调匀涂敷，非常奇妙。（出自小儿门。）
〔罗谦甫〕生肌青龙散

又一种枯瘤方
砒霜 砒砂 黄丹 雄黄 轻粉（以上各一钱） 斑蝥（生用，三十个） 朱砂 乳香 没药（各一钱）
以上研为细末，用糯米粥做成丸药，捏成棋子样子，爆干。先在瘤顶灸破三炷艾，将药饼盖在上面，用黄柏末用水调匀贴敷，数日后，
自然枯干落下。
另一方案用铜绿为细末，用草刺破瘤体，撒上药末并用膏药涂敷。
〔世医〕点瘤方神验。
桑柴灰 枣树灰 黄荆灰 桐壳灰（各二升半） 荞麦灰（少量）

〔罗谦甫〕枯瘤方

以上朽木等四味，一起烧成灰，保留药性，与前两种灰研匀，用水一桶，淋汁，依法熬成膏使用。
〔东垣〕各种瘿恶气：肩髎穴（男性左侧灸十八壮，右侧十七壮。女性右侧灸十八壮，左侧十七壮。）
又一种方法：天府穴（七七壮） 冲阳穴（随年龄决定壮数。）
〔《甲乙经》〕瘿病，天窗穴（一作天容穴，《千金方》作天府穴）及膻中穴主治。瘿瘤，气舍穴主治。

魏寿之不相信。戴人说：我和你取这个瘤怎么样？那人说：别人都不敢割。戴人说：我不是用刀割，另有技术。那人听从了。于是带他进入一个小房间，让他俯卧在床上，用绳子束缚他的手腕，针刺委中大出血，先让他用手揉按眼上的瘤，也刺出像雀粪一样的东西，立刻平复走出门外。寿之大吃一惊。戴人说：人的技艺，怎么能完全窥探呢？郜城，是戴人的家乡。有一个女子未出嫁，十八岁，两手背都有瘤，一类像鸡距，一类像羊角，手腕不能戴镯子，对着光亮看，像桃胶一样。夫家想要抛弃她，戴人见了说：在手背的，叫胶瘤，在面部的，叫粉瘤，这是胶瘤。用针十字刺破，按压出黄胶脓两三匙，立刻平复。瘤核不再复发，婚事恢复。不是素来精通的人，不敢用这种方法。

〔丹溪〕服用瘿瘤药，必须先断绝浓味饮食。
Only those with a shape resembling a small kernel are termed *Jiehe* (Tubercle).
[He Jian] *Jiehe* occurs when excessive heat from Fire Qi causes stagnation and hardening, similar to a fruit pit. It does not require ulceration or suppuration; once the heat dissipates, it resolves spontaneously.
[Dan Xi] *Jiehe* may appear on the neck, lateral neck, arms, or body, resembling a swelling toxin. It is mostly located between the skin and fascia, often caused by phlegm condensing into a persistent nodule. One must ask what foods the patient usually prefers. After employing emetic or purgative therapies, use medications to disperse the nodules. Formula for *Jiehe* in the neck:
*Baijiangcan* (Stir-fried *Bombyx Batryticatus*) *Dahuang* (Steeped in wine) *Qingdai* (Indigo Naturalis) *Danning* (Equal parts of each)
Grind these into fine powder, form pills with honey, and take by holding in the mouth to dissolve (*qing*).
For *Jiehe* under the chin: *Erchen Tang* (Two-Cured Decoction) added with wine-stir-fried *Dahuang*, *Lianqiao*, *Jiegeng*, and *Chaihu*.
For *Jiehe* in the arm: *Erchen Tang* added with *Lianqiao*, *Fangfeng*, *Chuanxiong*, wine-*Huangqin*, *Cangzhu*, *Zaoyaoci*, *Baijiangcan*, and *Shexiang*. This unblocks accumulated phlegm in the Hand-Taiyin Lung Meridian and Foot-Jueyin Liver Meridian, causing the *Jiehe* to resolve naturally with great speed.
[*Jisheng Fang*] To treat persistent submental *Jiehe*, [*Jingxiao Fang*] uses large-bellied spiders, regardless of quantity. Soak them in good wine, mash thoroughly, and drink the mixture including the soaking wine. Filter the dregs, warm the liquid, and take before bedtime.
[*Lingshu*] When deficient pathogens enter deeply, cold and heat contend. If they remain long-term and attach internally: if cold overcomes heat, bone pain and muscle wasting occur; if heat overcomes cold, flesh rots and turns to pus. Internal injury to bones leads to bone erosion. If tendons are injured ("Ji Qian" is a textual error, "Jin" should be "Jie"), tendon contraction prevents extension. Pathogenic qi stays there without returning, manifesting as *Jinliu* (Tendon Sliding Tumor). Wherever there is accumulation, Qi converges; if Wei Qi (Defensive Qi) remains stuck and cannot return, and fluids stay long-term, they combine to form *Changliu* (Intestinal Sliding Tumor). These may take years to form; palpation feels soft. If Qi converges where there is already an accumulation, fluids stay, and pathogenic qi invades, condensation worsens daily, clustering together to form *Xiliu* (Ancient Tumor). Palpation feels hard. If accumulation penetrates deep into bone, Qi attaches to bone, and bone merges with Qi, enlarging daily, it becomes *Guju* (Bone Abscess). If accumulation affects flesh, Zong Qi (Pectoral Qi) resides there; if pathogenic qi lingers, heat transforms it to pus, while absence of heat results in *Rouju* (Flesh Abscess). These various pathogenic influences have no fixed site of onset but have fixed names. (From *Ci Jie Zhen Xie Pian*: All these diseases result from deficient pathogens attacking humans; because the disease is not expelled, it lingers long-term, accumulating over years into abscesses and tumors.)
[He Zi] A woman in Xinzhai, over forty years old, had three lobulated tumors. Dairen instructed her to induce vomiting with salty substances. After three sessions of inducing vomiting, sweating, and purging, the goiter reduced by half. Subsequently, she took medicine to transform goiters, leading to significant resolution. Diseases in the upper body generally benefit from emesis, following appropriate methods of adjustment.
[He Jian] *Liuqi Chiliudan* (Goiter Qi Red Goiter Cinnabar) indicates heat overcoming Qi, representing the color of fire.
[Dan Xi] Treating goiter Qi requires first cutting off rich/flavorful foods.
*Haizao* (Washed, 1 liang) *Huanglian* (2 liang)
Grind into powder. Place a small amount in the palm, lick occasionally, and swallow with saliva. If two-thirds resolved, stop subsequent doses. Another prescription uses 2 liang *Huangbai* and 1 liang *Haizao*; omitting *Huanglian* is also effective.
To treat goiter Qi *Jiehe*, which are numerous, swollen, and hard: Use 1 liang *Kunbu*. Wash to remove salinity, grind to powder. Take 1 qian per dose. Wrap in cotton, soak in good vinegar, hold in mouth, and swallow saliva. When flavor fades, re-hold.
[*Zhouhou Beiji Fang*] To treat sudden cystic formation under the neck, threatening goiter: 1 jin *Haizao*, washed to remove salinity, soaked in wine and drunk.
[Wu Qiushi] *Po Jie San* (Break Knots Powder)
*Haizao* (Washed) *Caolongdan* *Hai Ge* *Tongcao* *Kunbu* *Fanshi* (Calcined) *Songluo* (Each 3 fen) *Maimian* (4 fen)
*Banxia* *Beimu* (Each 2 fen)
Grind to powder. Take one *cunbi* (square-inch measure) with wine, three times daily. Avoid crucian carp, pork, five pungent spices, raw vegetables, and miscellaneous toxic foods. Effects seen in 10 days, cured in 20.
[*Jisheng Fang*] *Yuhu San* (Jade Pot Powder) treats three types of goiter.
*Haizao* (Washed) *Haidai* (Washed) *Kunbu* *Leiwuan* (Each 1 liang) *Qingyan* *Guangzhu* (Each 0.5 liang)
Grind to fine powder. Form pills with aged rice water decoction, size of hazelnuts, to be held in mouth to dissolve. Honey pills are also acceptable.
[He Zi] *Renshen Huaying Dan* (Ginseng Goiter-Transforming Pill)

Grind to powder, form honey pills, size of corn kernels. Hold 1-2 pills in mouth before bed. Avoid greasy foods.
[Luo Qianfu] *Baojin San* (Precious Gold Powder) effectively treats goiter Qi without exception.

First, pound *Dingxiang*, *Muxiang*, *Haizao*, *Haidai* to fine powder. Add remaining ingredients, mix, grind finely, and sieve. Take 1 qian, mixed with one cup of hot wine, taken at night while sleeping with head lowered. For unmarried men and women, ten doses guarantee efficacy. For married men/women, effects seen in one month. Contraindicated in pregnancy.
*Haidai Wan* (Kelp Pill) treats goiter Qi that persists long-term.
*Haizao* (Washed) *Beimu* *Qingpi* *Chenpi*
Grind all equal parts to powder. Form honey pills, size of marbles. Hold one pill in mouth after meals. Highly effective.
[Luo Qianfu] Drying Tumor Formula named *Yijing San*
*Pi Shuang* *Fenshuang* *Xionghuang* (Each 2 qian) *Qingfen* *Moyao* *Ruxiang* (Each 1 qian) *Tuhuang* (3 qian. Method for making Tuhuang: Separate 2 liang *Cihuang* (Orpiment) into powder, 0.5 liang *Mubeizi* (Semen Euphorbiae Lathyri) shelled, 0.5 liang *Badou* (Semen Crotonis) de-oiled. Grind *Pi Shuang* separately to 2 qian powder. Mix *Cihuang* powder with *Mubeizi* and petroleum ether (stone brain oil) into a block. Wrap in oil paper, bury in ground pit for 49 days. Retrieve, store in porcelain, break into small pieces, grind finely. Small amount needed. *Cihuang* is Orpiment.)
Grind to fine powder. Mix with saliva, apply to tumor apex. Place a leek leaf around the edge. Cover with floral paper, then apply *Xiaohuang Gao* (Little Yellow Ointment).

Grind to powder. Mix with water to paste consistency. Apply slightly larger than previous medication. Change every three days. Do not remove until day 8-9, wait until ready to peel. Alternatively, using only *Huangbai* powder is also good.

Another Drying Tumor Formula
*Pi Shuang* *Pi Sha* *Huandan* *Xionghuang* *Qingfen* (Each 1 qian) *Banmao* (Raw, 30 pieces) *Zhusha* *Ruxiang* *Moyao* (Each 1 qian)
Grind to powder. Make pills with glutinous rice porridge, shape like chess pieces, dry by baking. Moxibustion pierces tumor apex with 3 moxa cones. Place medicated cake on top. Apply *Huangbai* powder mixed with water as a patch. After several days, it naturally dries and falls off.
Alternative: Grind *Tonglv* (Verdigris), prick tumor with grass thorn, sprinkle powder, cover with ointment.
[Worldly Physicians] Spotting Tumor Formula is miraculous.
*Sangchaihui* (Mulberry branch ash) *Zaoshuhui* (Date tree ash) *Huangjinghui* (Yellow荆 ash) *Tongkehui* (Poppy husk ash) (Each 2.5 sheng) *Qiaomaihui* (Buckwheat ash, small amount)
Pour boiling water over ashes to get ~5 bowls of juice. Clarify. Add 40 *Banmao*, 5 slices of *Chuanshanjia*, and unspecified amounts of *Ruxiang* and *Naozi* (Camphor/Borneol). Boil down to 2 bowls. Store in porcelain. Add *Ruxiang* and *Naozi* after cooling. Before use, mix with fresh *Duanshi* (Calx) to form paste. Apply to tumor. Moisten with clear water when dry. Effect is miraculous.
[Luo Qianfu] Drying Tumor Formula
*Sangchaihui* (3 bowls) *Duanshi* (3 bowls) *Xiumu* (Rotten wood, 3 liang) *Gangsanger* (Dry mulberry fungus, 3 liang) *Caowu* (Aconitum carmichaelii root side-lateral) (0.5 jin) *Chuanwu* (Aconitum carmichaelii root main-lateral) (4 liang)
Burn rotten wood etc. (four items) to ash, preserving properties. Mix evenly with the two ashes. Pour 1 bucket of water, leach juice, boil according to method to form paste.
[Dong Yuan] Various malignant goiter Qi: Jiāoliáo point (Male: Left 18 moxa cones, Right 17 cones. Female: Right 18 cones, Left 17 cones.)
Another method: Tiānfǔ point (77 cones) Chōngyáng point (Cones based on age.)
[*Jiayi Jing*] Goiter: Tiānchuāng point (Also Tiānróng in some texts, Tiānfǔ in *Qianjin*) and Dànzhōng point govern it. Goiter tumors: Qìshě point governs it.
[He Zi] In Xihua, people mocked him saying he only induced vomiting and diarrhea. One day, Wei Shouzhi and Dairen entered a restaurant, seeing a man with a tumor inside the upper eyelid net, gray-plum colored, hanging down covering the eye, obstructing vision. Dairen told Shouzhi: I will remove this tumor before the meal is cooked.
Wei did not believe him. Dairen said: Shall I remove it for you? The man said: No one dares cut it. Dairen said: I do not use knives, I have another technique. The man agreed. Led to a small room, made him lie prone on a bed, tied wrists, pricked Wěizhōng (BL40) to bleed heavily. First, he rubbed the eye tumor manually, also pricking out material resembling bird droppings. Immediately flat, walked out. Shouzhi was shocked. Dairen said: Can one fully窥 (peek) at others' skills? Gaocheng is my hometown. An unmarried girl, 18 years old, had tumors on both hands backs, one like chicken spur, one like sheep horn, wrists couldn't fit bracelets. Looking in light, resembled peach gum. Husband's family wanted to discard her. Dairen saw and said: On hand backs, it is Jiao Liu (Glue Tumor); on face, Fen Liu (Powder Tumor). This is Jiao Liu. Prick crosswise with needle, press out 2-3 spoons of yellow glue-like pus. Immediately flat. Nucleus never recurs, marriage restored. Only those well-versed dare use this method.
[*Bencao*] Treat facial tumors from karmic retribution. Moxa cone 10 cones on lesion. Immediately grind *Liuhuang* (Sulfur) with vinegar, smear on paper, cut to size of snail shell, apply to moxa site. Re-cover with plaster, change every two days. Wait for itching, squeeze out pus resembling mung bean powder, then cured. *Liuhuang*, Luo Qianfu wrote as *Xionghuang*.
[Wu Qiushi] Goiters mostly occur on shoulders/neck; tumors follow Qi condensation. These exist for many years, gradually enlarging. Hard and immobile is called *Shiying* (Stone Goiter).
Skin color unchanged is *Rouying* (Flesh Goiter). Visible vein knots is *Jinying* (Tendon Goiter). Red vessels interlaced is *Xuèying* (Blood Goiter). Fluctuates with emotion is *Qiying* (Qi Goiter). None of the five goiters should be arbitrarily incised; incision causes pus/blood collapse, often leading to death. Tumors have five types: *Guli* (Bone Tumor), *Zhilu* (Fat Tumor), *Roulü* (Flesh Tumor), *Nonglü* (Pus Tumor), *Xuèlü* (Blood Tumor). Also cannot be incised. *Roulü* especially untreatable; treatment kills. Only *Zhilu* cures if incised and fat removed.
[Dan Xi] Taking goiter/tumor medicine requires first cutting off rich/flavorful foods.
