小儿初生眼不开者，因孕妇饮食不节，恣情厚味，热毒熏蒸，
以致热蕴儿脾，眼胞属脾，其脉络紧束，故不能开也，内服生地黄汤，

新生儿双眼紧闭无法睁开，多因胎儿在母体内受脾热影响所致。内服地黄汤效果最佳，外用熊胆水清洗眼部亦能取得显著疗效。

小儿出生时眼睛不睁开，是因为孕妇饮食没有节制，偏好肥甘厚味的食物，导致热毒熏蒸，致使热邪蕴结于胎儿的脾脏。眼睑（眼胞）归属于脾，其脉络因热而紧束，所以眼睛无法睁开。此时应内服生地黄汤，同时外用熊胆汤清洗眼部，即可自愈。
(生地黄汤) 组成：生地黄、赤芍药、当归、川芎、甘草、天花粉。用法：加水煎煮后服用。

新生儿呕吐不止是什么原因造成的？这是因为秽浊恶物停留在胃中形成的。或者是因为先天禀赋导致胎寒或胎热，或者是由于出生时感受了风寒之邪。对于秽恶停留引起的呕吐，可用一捻金散治疗；对于外感风寒引起的呕吐，可用香苏饮温散解表；对于热涎酸粘引起的呕吐，可用二陈汤加黄连治疗；对于寒吐清沫的情况，则使用理中汤。

小儿脱离胞胎之后，如果因为排便不畅，腹中秽浊恶物未排干净，导致腹部胀满且呕吐不止，应当使用一捻金治疗。如果在生育过程中触犯了寒邪，寒气侵入胃部，导致婴儿弯腰啼哭、呕吐白沫不止，应当使用香苏饮进行温散治疗。还有因产前受热，表现为面色黄赤、手足温暖、口吐黄色酸粘涎液的，应当使用二陈汤加黄连治疗。若因产前受寒，表现为面色青白、四肢冰冷、口吐清稀白沫的，应当使用理中汤治疗。

The newborn's eyes remain closed and cannot open, primarily due to spleen heat transmitted from the fetus. Internal administration of Dihuang Tang (Rehmannia Decoction) is most effective, while external washing of the eyes with Xiongdan (Bear Gallbladder) yields miraculous results.
[Note]
When a newborn fails to open their eyes, it is caused by the pregnant woman's irregular diet and indulgence in rich, greasy foods, leading to the steaming of heat toxins. This results in heat accumulating in the infant's spleen. Since the eyelids belong to the spleen, their meridians become tight and constricted due to heat, preventing the eyes from opening. Internally, Shengdihuang Tang (Fresh Rehmannia Decoction) should be administered, and externally, the eyes should be washed with Xiongdan Tang (Bear Gallbladder Decoction), after which they will heal spontaneously.
(Shengdihuang Tang / Fresh Rehmannia Decoction) Ingredients: Sheng Dihuang (Radix Rehmanniae Preparata), Chishao Yao (Radix Paeoniae Rubra), Danggui (Radix Angelicae Sinensis), Chuanxiong (Rhizoma Chuanxiong), Gancao (Radix Glycyrrhizae), Tianhuafen (Radix Trichosanthis). Preparation: Decoct in water and take orally.
(Fangge / Formula Song)
Eyes closed due to fetal heat formed,
Shengdihuang Tang with Chishao,
Chuanxiong, Danggui, Tianhuafen, Shengdi,
Decoct with water, take quickly without delay.
(Xiongdan Washing Method) Ingredients: Xiongdan (Felis Carchariae Vel Felis Gallus), Huanglian (Rhizoma Coptidis), each in small amounts. Preparation: Pour boiling water over them to steep and wash the eyes; the eyes will naturally open.

Newborn Section
Why does the newborn vomit incessantly? It is caused by foul and turbid matter remaining in the stomach. It may arise from congenital endowment resulting in fetal cold or fetal heat, or from contracting wind-cold during birth. For vomiting caused by the retention of foul matter, Yinianjin San (One-Pinch Gold Powder) should be administered. For vomiting due to external contraction of wind-cold, Xiangsu Yin (Agastache and Perilla Drink) can be used to warm and disperse. For vomiting with hot, sour, and sticky saliva, Erchen Tang (Two-Aged Decoction) plus Huanglian should be used. For vomiting of clear foam due to cold, Lizhong Tang (Regulate the Middle Decoction) should be used.
[Note]
After leaving the womb, if the infant suffers from constipation and the abdominal foul matter is not completely expelled, leading to abdominal fullness and incessant vomiting, Yinianjin should be the primary treatment. If, during delivery, the infant was exposed to cold pathogens, causing cold to invade the stomach, resulting in the infant curling their waist while crying and vomiting clear foam incessantly, Xiangsu Yin should be used to warm and disperse. Additionally, if there was heat accumulation before birth, manifesting as a yellow-red complexion, warm hands and feet, and vomiting of yellow, sour, and sticky saliva, Erchen Tang plus Huanglian should be used. If there was cold accumulation before birth, manifesting as a blue-white complexion, cold limbs, and vomiting of clear, thin white foam, Lizhong Tang should be used.

(Xiangsu Yin / Agastache and Perilla Drink) Ingredients: Huoxiang (Patchouli Herba), Sueye (Perillae Folium), Houpo (Magnoliae Officinalis Cortex, stir-fried with ginger), Chenpi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium), Zhiqiao (Aurantii Fructus, bran-fried), Fuling (Poria), Muxiang (Aucklandiae Radix, baked), Zhigancao (Prepared Licorice Root). Preparation: Use Shengjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens) as a guide, decoct in water, and take orally.
(Fangge / Formula Song) Xiangsu Yin uses Huoxiang and Su,
Houpo, Chenpi, Zhiqiao, Fuling,
Gancao and Muxiang all added together,
With Shengjiang as guide, vomiting can be removed.
(Huanglian Erchen Tang / Coptidis Erchen Decoction) Ingredients: Banxia (Pinelliae Rhizoma, prepared with ginger), Chenpi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium), Fuling (Poria), Sheng Gancao (Raw Licorice Root), Huanglian (Coptidis Rhizoma, stir-fried with ginger). Preparation: Use Shengjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens) as a guide, decoct in water, and take orally.
(Fangge / Formula Song) Newborns with fetal heat vomit frequently,
Treatment requires Erchen Tang,
Banxia, Chenpi, Fuling, Gancao,
Add Jiang (Ginger) and Lian (Coptidis), efficacy is like divine.
