如果见面色红、口渴、小便赤红,且肤色光亮、身体发热的,这是脾脏的湿热,属于阳黄;
如果口不渴、肤色暗黄、身体冷如冰的,这是脾肾的寒湿,属于阴黄;

Jaundice is formed by the stagnation and steaming of damp-heat, presenting with yellowing of the entire body and the eyes. Yang jaundice (Yang Huang) features a bright color and often involves bodily heat; Yin jaundice (Yin Huang) features a dull color and a sensation of coldness like ice.
[Note]
The syndrome of jaundice arises from damp-heat stagnating for a long time and manifesting externally on the skin and muscles.
Its manifestations include yellowing of the whole body and face; in severe cases, it may present as deep yellow, with the complexion resembling that of being smoke-stained.
There are distinctions between Yang and Yin types within this condition:
If one observes a red face, thirst, dark urine, a bright skin color, and bodily heat, this is damp-heat in the Spleen, classified as Yang jaundice;
If there is no thirst, a dull yellow skin color, and a body cold as ice, this is cold-dampness in the Spleen and Kidney, classified as Yin jaundice;
Treatment should be administered differently based on these distinctions.

For Yang jaundice without sweating, dispersing and releasing the exterior is appropriate; Yinchen Mahuang Decoction can induce sweating. For Yang jaundice with abdominal fullness and constipation, Yinchenshao Tang is used to purge interior excess. For Yang jaundice with neither exterior nor interior signs, Yinchen Wuling San is effective.
[Note]
The syndrome of Yang jaundice is caused by damp-heat; practitioners must examine it carefully.
If there is an exterior excess pattern with no sweating, it is appropriate to release the exterior through sweating; Yinchen Mahuang Decoction is the primary formula, allowing the jaundice to resolve from the exterior.
If there is an interior excess pattern characterized by difficult urination and defecation and abdominal fullness, Yinchenshao Tang is used to purge, allowing the jaundice to resolve from the interior.

Yinchen Wuling San is appropriate, allowing the jaundice to resolve through the urinary pathway.
