《病源论》云∶夫吐血者，皆又大虚损及饮酒，劳伤所致也。
《医门方》经曰∶凡诸吐血呕血人，若兼右气喘咳不得卧者，多死难疗。
《葛氏方》治卒吐血方∶
服蒲黄一升。
又方∶浓煮鸡苏饮汁。亦治下血漏血良。
《千金方》治吐血方∶
服桂心末方寸匕，日夜可二十服。
又方∶烧乱发灰，水服方寸匕，日三。
又方∶熟艾三鸡子许，水五升，煮取二升，顿服。
又方∶灸胃脘三百壮。
又方∶灸胸堂穴五壮。
《短剧方》治吐血方∶
用东向 荷根，捣绞取汁一二升，顿服立愈。亦治蛄毒痔血，妇人腰腹痛，大起后出清
血也
《录验方》治血生姜汤方∶
生姜（五两） 人参（二两） 甘草（三两） 大枣（十枚）
凡四物， 咀，以水三升，煮取一升半，分再服。
《范汪方》治吐血下血不止方∶
生地黄一升， 咀，清酒五升，微火上合煎得二升半，去滓，强人顿服，老少分再服。
《令李方》治吐血便血方∶
干地黄 黄芩（各二两）
凡二物，冶下筛，酒服方寸匕，日三。
《僧深方》治吐血方∶
龙骨多少冶，温酒服方寸匕，日五六，可至二三匕，亦治小便血。
《医门方》疗吐血单神方∶
生地黄汁一升二合，白胶一两，以铜器盛蒸之，令消，顿服之，三服，必瘥神效。
《龙门方》疗卒吐血不止方∶
取灶底黄土一斤，以水一大升三合，研澄饮之。
《广利方》疗吐血不止方∶
刺蓟菜及根捣汁半升，顿服之。
又方∶生葛根捣汁半大升，顿服之。（《僧深方》云∶治吐血欲死。）
《诸病源候论》记载：凡是吐血的症状，都是由于极度虚损以及饮酒、劳力损伤所导致的。
《医门方》经文说：凡是患有吐血或呕血的人，如果同时伴有右侧气喘咳嗽、无法平卧的症状，大多预后不良，难以治疗。
另一个方剂：将鸡苏（唇形科植物水苏）浓煮取汁饮用。此方也用于治疗下血和漏血，效果良好。
《千金方》治疗吐血的方剂：
服用桂心粉末，每次一方寸匕的量，白天黑夜可服用二十次。
另一个方剂：将乱发烧成灰，用水送服一方寸匕，每天三次。
另一个方剂：取熟艾约鸡蛋大小，加水五升，煎煮至剩余二升，一次性服下。
另一个方剂：在胃脘穴艾灸三百壮。
另一个方剂：在胸堂穴艾灸五壮。
《短剧方》治疗吐血的方剂：
使用朝东生长的荷根，捣碎绞取汁液一二升，一次性服下，立即痊愈。此方也用于治疗蛄毒引起的痔血，以及妇人腰腹痛，产后排出清血的情况。
《录验方》治疗血证的生姜汤方：
生姜（五两） 人参（二两） 甘草（三两） 大枣（十枚）
以上四味药，切碎，用水三升，煎煮至剩余一升半，分两次服用。
《范汪方》治疗吐血和下血不止的方剂：
生地黄一升，切碎，用清酒五升，在微火上合煎至剩余二升半，滤去药渣，体质强壮者一次性服下，老人和小孩分两次服用。
《令李方》治疗吐血和便血的方剂：
干地黄 黄芩（各二两）
以上两味药，研细过筛，用酒送服一方寸匕，每天三次。
《僧深方》治疗吐血的方剂：
龙骨适量，研细，用温酒送服一方寸匕，每天五到六次，剂量可增加至每次二三匕，此方也用于治疗小便出血。
《医门方》治疗吐血的单方：
生地黄汁一升二合，白胶一两，用铜器盛装蒸制，使其融化，一次性服下，服用三次后，必定痊愈，神效显著。
《龙门方》治疗突然吐血不止的方剂：
取灶底黄土一斤，加大量水一大升三合，研磨澄清后饮用。
The *Zhubing Yuanhou Lun* (Treatise on the Pathogenesis and Manifestations of All Diseases) states: Cases of hematemesis (vomiting blood) are all caused by severe deficiency and damage, as well as excessive alcohol consumption and physical overexertion.
The classic text *Yimen Fang* (Medical Gate Formulas) states: In patients suffering from hematemesis or hemoptysis, if accompanied by wheezing, coughing, and an inability to lie flat on the right side, the prognosis is generally poor and difficult to treat.
*Ge Shi Fang* (Formulas by Ge Hong) for sudden hematemesis:
Take one sheng of Puhuang (Corydalis Rhizome).
Another formula: Decoct Shusu (Perilla Leaf) thickly and drink the juice. This is also effective for treating lower gastrointestinal bleeding and metrorrhagia.
*Qianjin Fang* (Essential Prescriptions Worth a Thousand Gold) for hematemesis:
Take Guixin (Cinnamon Twig Powder), one fangcun bi (a square-inch measure) per dose, up to twenty times day and night.
Another formula: Burn disordered hair into ash, take one fangcun bi with water, three times daily.
Another formula: Take cooked Aiye (Mugwort Leaf) equivalent to the size of three chicken eggs, add five sheng of water, decoct until two sheng remain, and take in one dose.
Another formula: Moxibustion at Weiwuan (CV12, Conception Vessel 12), 300 moxa cones.
Another formula: Moxibustion at Xiong tang acupoint, 5 moxa cones.
*Duanju Fang* (Short Drama Formulas) for hematemesis:
Use He Gen (Lotus Root Rhizome) growing facing east, crush and squeeze to obtain one to two sheng of juice, take in one dose for immediate cure. It is also used to treat hemorrhoidal bleeding caused by "Gu" toxicity, women's abdominal and lumbar pain, and postpartum discharge of clear blood.
*Luyuan Fang* (Verified Records Formulas) Ginger Soup for Blood Disorders:
Shengjiang (Fresh Ginger, five liang), Renshen (Ginseng Radix, two liang), Gancao (Licorice Root, three liang), Dazao (Jujube Fruit, ten pieces).
These four ingredients are cut into small pieces, added to three sheng of water, and decocted until one and a half sheng remain. Divide into two doses.
*Fan Wang Fang* (Formulas of Fan Wang) for persistent hematemesis and hematochezia:
Sheng Dihuang (Rehmannia Root, one sheng), cut into pieces, decoct with five sheng of clear wine over low heat until two and a half sheng remain. Strain the dregs. Strong individuals take in one dose; the elderly and children divide into two doses.
*Ling Li Fang* (Formulas of Ling Li) for hematemesis and melena:
Gan Dihuang (Dried Rehmannia Root), Huangqin (Scutellaria Root) (two liang each).
These two ingredients are pulverized and sifted. Take one fangcun bi with wine, three times daily.
*Seng Shen Fang* (Monk Shen's Formulas) for hematemesis:
Longgu (Fossilized Bones, appropriate amount), pulverized. Take one fangcun bi with warm wine, five to six times daily. The dosage may increase to two or three fangcun bi. It is also used for hematuria.
*Yimen Fang* Single Herb Formula for Hematemesis:
Sheng Dihuang Juice (one sheng and two he), Baijiao (Animal Glue, one liang). Steam in a copper vessel until melted. Take in one dose. After three doses, it will surely cure effectively.
*Longmen Fang* for sudden persistent hematemesis:
Take one jin of Tu Zhong Huangtu (Yellow Earth from the bottom of the stove). Add one da sheng and three he of water, grind, clarify, and drink.
*Guangli Fang* for persistent hematemesis:
Crush Ciji (Thistle) and its roots to extract half a sheng of juice, take in one dose.
Another formula: Crush Sheng Gegen (Kudzu Root) to extract half a da sheng of juice, take in one dose. (*Seng Shen Fang* notes: Used for critical cases of hematemesis nearing death.)
