《病源论》云∶箭中骨，骨破碎者，须令箭镞出，仍应除碎骨尽，乃敷药。不尔，疮永
不合，纵疮合，常疼痛。若更犯触损伤，便惊血沸溃有死者。

捣杏仁涂之。
又方∶以蝼蛄脑涂之。
《千金方》治金箭不出方∶

三两。熬下筛，水服方寸匕，日三。轻浅疮十日出，深疮二十日出，终遂不得停肉中。〕
《短剧方》治箭金在喉咽胸背膈中及在诸处不出方∶

末，酒服方寸匕，日三。自出。（今按∶《千金方》白 二分。）
又方∶取妇人月经衣已污者，烧末，酒服方寸匕，日三，立出。（《集验方》同之。）
《录验方》治箭镞入腹中不出瞿麦散方∶
末瞿麦，酒服方寸匕，日三，夜再，亦可治百刺。亦和酒涂。
又云∶箭入人身，经三、五年不出方∶
麻子三升，作末，以水和，使得三升汁，温服之，须臾出。
《龙门方》疗箭镞入腹不出方∶
栝蒌捣敷疮上，日三，自出。
《录验方》治疗射箭射入腹部、刺破肠道导致血液积聚的葵子汤方：
取葵子一升，小便四升，煎煮至剩下一升，一次性服用，使异物排出，病即痊愈。
又说：治疗被箭射中导致血液内漏、腹部瘀血胀满的瓜子散方：

《诸病源候论》说：箭头射入骨头，导致骨头破碎的，必须让箭头取出，并且应当将碎骨全部清除，然后敷药。不这样做，伤口永远无法愈合，即使愈合了，也常常疼痛。如果再次受到触碰损伤，就会导致惊骇出血沸腾溃烂，甚至有死亡的危险。
《葛氏方》治疗箭头以及各类刀刃卡在咽喉、胸膈等隐蔽部位无法取出的方子：
捣碎杏仁涂抹患处。
又一方：用蝼蛄脑涂抹患处。
《千金方》治疗金属箭头无法取出的方子：
白蔹、半夏各等分，研成末。用酒送服一方寸匕，每日三次。（今按：《录验方》记载：白蔹三两，半夏（干品）三两。熬制后过筛，用水送服一方寸匕，每日三次。浅表伤口十天可排出，深部伤口二十天可排出，最终不会滞留在肉中。）
《短剧方》治疗箭头金属卡在咽喉、胸背、膈中及身体其他部位无法取出的方子：
牡丹（一分） 白蔹（一分）
研成末，用酒送服一方寸匕，每日三次。箭头自出。（今按：《千金方》中白蔹用量为二分。）
又一方：取妇女已使用过的月经布，烧成灰末，用酒送服一方寸匕，每日三次，箭头立即排出。（《集验方》与此相同。）
《录验方》治疗箭头射入腹中无法取出的瞿麦散方：
研细瞿麦，用酒送服一方寸匕，每日三次，夜间两次，也可以治疗各种倒刺。还可以和酒调匀外涂。
The *Lu Yan Fang* (Verified Records Formulas) treats arrows penetrating the abdomen and rupturing the intestines, causing blood accumulation, with the *Kuizi Tang* (Hibiscus Seed Decoction):
Take one *sheng* of *Kuizi* (Abelmoschi Fructus, Hibiscus seed), four *sheng* of urine, boil until one *sheng* remains, and take it all at once to expel the foreign body; the condition will then heal.
It is also stated: To treat internal bleeding from arrow wounds and abdominal distension due to blood stasis, use the *Guazi San* (Melon Seed Powder):
*Dried Ginger* (Ganjiang, Rhizoma Zingiberis Preparatum) (two *liang*)
*Melon Seeds* (Guazi, Cucurbitae Semen) (two *liang*)
Grind these two ingredients and sieve them. Take one *fangcun bi* (a measure equivalent to a square inch scoop) with wine before meals.
Another formula: *Luru San* (Rubia Powder):
*Luru* (Radix Rubiae, Madder root) (three *liang*)
*Almond* (Xingren, Armeniacae Semen Amarum) (two *liang*)
Grind these two ingredients. Take one *fangcun bi* with wine before meals.
The *Bing Yuan Lun* (Treatise on the Origins and Manifestations of Diseases) states: If an arrow penetrates the bone and shatters it, the arrowhead must be extracted, and all broken bone fragments must be removed before applying medicine. Otherwise, the wound will never heal; even if it does, it will remain painful. If further touched or injured, it may cause panic, boiling blood, and ulceration, potentially leading to death.
The *Ge Shi Fang* (Ge’s Formulas) treats arrowheads and various blade edges stuck in hidden areas such as the throat, pharynx, chest, and diaphragm that cannot be removed:
Crush *Almonds* (Xingren, Armeniacae Semen Amarum) and apply topically.
Another formula: Apply the brain of the *Mole Cricket* (Lougu, Gryllotalpae Ganglion) topically.
The *Qian Jin Fang* (Essential Prescriptions Worth a Thousand Gold) treats metal arrowheads that cannot be removed:
*Bai Lian* (Bai Lian, Ampelopsis Radix) and *Ban Xia* (Pinelliae Rhizoma) in equal parts, ground into powder. Take one *fangcun bi* with wine, three times daily. [Note: The *Lu Yan Fang* records: *Bai Lian* three *liang*, *Ban Xia* (dried) three *liang*. Roast, sieve, and take one *fangcun bi* with water, three times daily. Superficial wounds expel the object in ten days, deep wounds in twenty days, ensuring it never remains lodged in the flesh.]
The *Duan Ju Fang* (Short Drama Formulas) treats metal arrowheads stuck in the throat, pharynx, chest, back, diaphragm, and other locations that cannot be removed:
*Peony Root Bark* (Mudan Pi, Moutan Cortex) (one *fen*)
*Bai Lian* (Ampelopsis Radix) (one *fen*)
Grind into powder, take one *fangcun bi* with wine, three times daily. The object will emerge spontaneously. [Note: In the *Qian Jin Fang*, the dosage of *Bai Lian* is two *fen*.]
Another formula: Take used menstrual cloth from a woman, burn it to ash, take one *fangcun bi* with wine, three times daily; the object will be expelled immediately. (This matches the *Ji Yan Fang*.)
The *Lu Yan Fang* treats arrowheads stuck in the abdomen with the *Qumai San* (Cheatgrass Powder):
Grind *Qumai* (Herba Siegesbeckiae) finely. Take one *fangcun bi* with wine, three times daily and twice at night. It can also treat various splinters. It may also be mixed with wine for topical application.
It is also stated: For an arrow that has remained in the body for three to five years without being expelled:
Take three *sheng* of *Hemp Seeds* (Mazi, Cannabis Fructus), grind into powder, mix with water to obtain three *sheng* of juice, and take warm; it will be expelled shortly.
The *Long Men Fang* (Dragon Gate Formulas) treats arrowheads stuck in the abdomen:
Crush *Trichosanthes Fruit* (Gualou, Trichosanthis Fructus) and apply to the wound. Do this three times daily; the object will emerge spontaneously.
