《千金方》治阴囊肿痛方∶
酢和面，涂之。
又方∶酢和热灰，熨之。
又方∶釜月下土，鸡子白，和，敷之。
《葛氏方》治男子阴卵卒肿痛方∶
烧牛矢末，以苦酒和敷之。
又方∶蛇床子末，鸡子黄和敷之。
又方∶捣芜菁涂之。
又方∶灸足大指第二节横纹理正中央五壮，佳。
《医门方》治阴卵肿方∶
以桂心末涂之，佳。
又方∶末大黄和酢涂之，并佳。
又方∶取皂荚，炙，去皮子，末，和水涂之，立消。
又云∶疗卒阴卵肿疼痛不可忍方∶
灸足大拇指头，去爪甲如韭叶，随年壮。右核肿灸右，左肿灸左，两核俱肿，俱灸之，

又方∶以玉茎头向下正囊缝点茎头，当缝上灸三壮（或七壮），即消。
《博济安众方》治久坐立卑湿冷处忽阴囊虚肿气上筑人方∶
上，以米醋炒黑豆，青布裹熨心腹。
《集验方》治卒卵肿方∶
熟捣桃仁，敷之，燥则易，亦治妇人阴肿。
《玄女经》云疗男子阴卵肿方∶
取捣桃仁，去皮尖，并简除双人，熬令色变，作末，丸如弹丸，酒服之。
《葛氏方》治阴丸卒缩入腹急痛欲死，名曰阴疝（音山）方∶
野狼毒（四两） 防葵（一两） 附子（二两）
上三物，蜜丸，服如梧子三丸，日夜三过。
《玄女经》疗房劳卵肿，或缩入腹，腹中绞痛或便气绝死方∶
取妇人月经布衣有血者，汤洗取汁，服之。（今按∶《医门方》∶为灰酒服方寸匕。）
又方∶取妇人阴上毛二七茎，烧作灰，以井华水服之。
《千金方》治疗阴囊肿痛的方子：
用醋调和面粉，涂抹患处。
另一个方子：用醋调和热灰，熨烫患处。
再一个方子：取锅底下的泥土，与鸡蛋清混合，敷在患处。
《葛氏方》治疗男子阴囊突然肿痛的方子：
将牛粪烧成粉末，用苦酒（醋）调和后敷在患处。
另一个方子：用蛇床子的粉末，与鸡蛋黄混合后敷在患处。
再一个方子：捣碎芜菁（蔓菁）涂抹患处。
再一个方子：在足大趾第二节的横纹正中央施灸五壮，效果很好。
《医门方》治疗阴囊肿胀的方子：
用桂心（肉桂的心材）的粉末涂抹患处，效果很好。
另一个方子：将大黄研末，用醋调和后涂抹，效果都很好。
再一个方子：取皂荚，烤炙后去皮和种子，研成粉末，用水调和后涂抹，肿胀立即消退。
又说：治疗突然发生的阴囊肿痛难以忍受的方子：
灸足大拇指头，距离指甲边缘如韭菜叶宽的地方，根据患者年龄决定灸的壮数（随年壮）。右侧睾丸肿胀灸右侧，左侧肿胀灸左侧，双侧都肿则双侧都灸，过一夜即可见效。
另一个方子：将阴茎头向下，对准阴囊正中缝线的顶端点刺并施灸三壮（或七壮），肿胀即可消退。
《博济安众方》治疗因久坐站立于卑湿寒冷之处，忽然导致阴囊虚肿、气上冲顶部的方子：
上方，用米醋炒黑豆，用青布包裹熨烫心腹部。
《集验方》治疗突然发生的睾丸肿胀的方子：
将桃仁煮熟后捣烂，敷在患处，干了就更换，也能治疗妇女外阴肿胀。
《玄女经》说治疗男子阴囊肿胀的方子：
取捣碎的桃仁，去掉皮和尖，并剔除双仁的，炒至颜色变化，研成粉末，做成如弹丸大小的药丸，用酒送服。
《葛氏方》治疗阴丸突然收缩入腹、剧烈疼痛欲死的方子，名为阴疝（音同“山”）：
野狼毒（四两） 防葵（一两） 附子（二两）
以上三味药，用蜂蜜制成丸药，每次服用如梧桐子大小的三丸，白天晚上各服三次。
《玄女经》治疗房事劳累导致的睾丸肿胀，或者收缩入腹，腹中绞痛甚至导致气息断绝死亡的方子：
取有血迹的妇女月经期间使用的布衣，用水煎煮取汁，服用。（现在按语：《医门方》记载将其烧成灰，用酒调服一方寸匕。）
另一个方子：取妇女阴毛十四根，烧成灰，用清晨第一次打的井水送服。
The *Qianjin Fang* (Thousand Gold Formulas) provides a formula for treating scrotal swelling and pain:
Mix vinegar with flour and apply it topically.
Another formula: Mix vinegar with hot ashes and apply via moxibustion-like heat compression (ironing).
Yet another formula: Collect soil from under the cooking pot, mix with egg white, and apply as a poultice.
The *Ge Shi Fang* (Ge's Formulas) provides a formula for treating sudden swelling and pain of the male scrotum:
Burn cow dung into powder, mix with bitter wine (vinegar), and apply topically.
Another formula: Use powder of Cnidii Fructus (Shechuangzi, 蛇床子), mix with egg yolk, and apply topically.
Yet another formula: Crush Turnip Radish (Wujing, 芜菁) and apply topically.
Yet another formula: Apply five moxa cones (zhuang, 壮) precisely at the center of the transverse crease on the second phalanx of the great toe; this is effective.
The *Yimen Fang* (Medical Gate Formulas) provides a formula for treating scrotal swelling:
Apply powder of Cinnamomi Ramulus (Guixin, 桂心); this is effective.
Another formula: Mix powder of Rheum Palmatum (Dahuang, 大黄) with vinegar and apply; both are effective.
Yet another formula: Take Gleditsiae Fructus (Zaojia, 皂荚), roast it, remove the skin and seeds, powder it, mix with water, and apply topically; the swelling will subside immediately.
It also states: A formula for treating sudden, unbearable scrotal swelling and pain:
Moxa the tip of the great toe, at a distance from the nail edge equivalent to the width of a leek leaf, using the number of moxa cones corresponding to the patient's age (sui nian zhuang, 随年壮). If the right testicle is swollen, moxa the right side; if the left, moxa the left; if both are swollen, moxa both. After one night, relief is expected.
Another formula: Point the glans penis downward and align it with the top of the midline seam of the scrotum. Apply three (or seven) moxa cones directly on the seam; the swelling will subside.
The *Boji Anzhong Fang* (Formulas for Universal Peace and Health) provides a formula for treating sudden empty swelling of the scrotum and upward rushing of qi after sitting or standing for long periods in damp, cold places:
For the above condition, stir-fry black soybeans with rice vinegar, wrap them in blue cloth, and apply heat compression to the heart and abdomen.
The *Jiyan Fang* (Collected Proven Formulas) provides a formula for treating sudden testicular swelling:
Cook and crush Prunus persica seed (Taoren, 桃仁), apply as a poultice, replacing when dry. This also treats female vulvar swelling.
The *Xuannv Jing* (Classic of the Dark Lady) states a formula for treating male scrotal swelling:
Take crushed Prunus persica seed (Taoren, 桃仁), remove the skin and tips, and discard any double-kernel seeds. Roast until the color changes, powder it, form pills the size of a bullet, and swallow with wine.
The *Ge Shi Fang* (Ge's Formulas) provides a formula for treating sudden retraction of the testicles into the abdomen with severe pain bordering on death, known as Yin Hernia (Yin Han, 阴疝):
Stellerae Radix (Yelangdu, 野狼毒) (4 liang), Polygala Tenuifolia Root (Fang Kui, 防葵) (1 liang), Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata (Fuzi, 附子) (2 liang).
Grind these three herbs into powder, mix with honey to make pills, take three pills the size of a wutong seed (wuzi, 梧子) per dose, taken three times a day and night.
The *Xuannv Jing* (Classic of the Dark Lady) provides a formula for treating testicular swelling due to sexual exhaustion, or retraction into the abdomen with abdominal colic leading to cessation of breath and death:
Take women's menstrual cloth stained with blood, wash it in water to extract the juice, and drink it. (Current commentary: The *Yimen Fang* records burning it into ash and taking one cun cube with wine.)
Another formula: Take fourteen hairs from the female pubic region, burn them into ash, and swallow with morning well water.
