Treats "Master-Guest Intermingling" syndrome. Due to lingering pathogenic heat from seasonal epidemic disease, mistaken use of tonics causes pathogenic heat to linger. Pathogenic qi struggles with healthy qi, leading to tidal fever, dizziness, dry tongue, exhaustion of Yin fluids, emaciation, and persistent Bai Fei (white miliary rash) that does not resolve. Whenever I encounter post-illness Yin injury and failure of healthy qi to recover, often presenting with deficient heat, administering this prescription leads to recovery.
