钱）名人参白虎汤。○加桂枝（五分）名桂枝白虎汤。
火，是南方的气候特征。火证有内火与外火、虚火与实火、阴火与阳火、表火与里火的区分。五脏的病位在内，六腑的病位在外。内伤引起的火证属于虚火。
（自行斟酌）治疗五脏和六腑的内伤或外感引起的一切火证，应当根据具体症状进行加减调整，这也是临床诊治的关键要点。

用水煎煮。○如果希望滋补肾水，加入知母、黄柏。○如果希望补益肺金，加入百合、桔梗。○如果希望补益肝木，加入柴胡、巨胜子（即菟丝子）。○如果希望补益心气，加入石菖蒲、远志肉。○脾虚者加入白术。○如果想要熄灭肾火，加入知母、川柏、肉桂（各八分）。○如果要清泄肺火，加入桑白皮、知母、羚羊角（镑碎，各一钱）。○如果要清泄心火，加入川黄连（八分）；清泄肝火，加入龙胆草、桑叶（各一钱）。○清泄脾火，加入黄芩（二钱，炒制）。又如遇到虚火，加入龟板（六钱）；如果遇到实火，加入犀角、羚羊角之类的药物。其余类型的火证，酌情使用即可。

Fire is the qi characteristic of the South. Fire syndromes are distinguished into internal and external, deficiency and excess, yin and yang, and exterior and interior. The Zang organs are located internally, while the Fu organs are located externally. Fire caused by internal injury belongs to deficiency fire.
(Self-determination) For all fire syndromes arising from internal injury or external contraction affecting the five Zang and six Fu organs, modifications should be made according to specific symptoms; this is a crucial aspect of clinical practice.

Decoct in water. ○ If the intention is to tonify Kidney Water, add Zhimu (Anemarrhenae Rhizoma) and Huangbai (Phellodendri Cortex). ○ If the intention is to tonify Lung Metal, add Baihe (Lilii Bulbus) and Jiegeng (Platycodonis Radix). ○ If the intention is to tonify Liver Wood, add Chaihu (Bupleuri Radix) and Jushengzi (Cuscutae Semen, also known as Tusizi). ○ If the intention is to tonify Heart Qi, add Shichangpu (Acori Tatarinowii Rhizoma) and Yuanzhi Rou (Polygalae Radix). ○ For Spleen deficiency, add Baizhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma). ○ To extinguish Kidney fire, add Zhimu (Anemarrhenae Rhizoma), Chuanbai (Phellodendri Amurense Cortex), and Rougui (Cinnamomi Cortex), each 8 fen. ○ To drain Lung fire, add Sangbaipi (Mori Cortex), Zhimu (Anemarrhenae Rhizoma), and Lingyangjiao (Saigae Tataricae Cornu, sliced), each 1 qian. ○ To drain Heart fire, add Chuanlian (Coptidis Rhizoma, 8 fen); to drain Liver fire, add Longdancao (Gentianae Radix) and Sangye (Mori Folium), each 1 qian. ○ To drain Spleen fire, add Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix, 2 qian, stir-fried). Furthermore, for deficiency fire, add Guiban (Testudinis Carapax et Plastrum, 6 qian); for excess fire, add Xijiao (Rhinocerotis Cornu) or Lingyangjiao (Saigae Tataricae Cornu). For other types of fire, use discretion.

Treats excess fire of the Sanjiao (Triple Burner).

Decoct in water. ○ Adding Mahuang (Ephedrae Herba, 5 fen, remove root and joints), Danshizi (Sojae Semens Praeparatum, 2 qian), and Shigao (Gypsum Fibrosum, 3 qian) to this formula creates Sanhuang Shigao Tang (Three Yellows and Gypsum Decoction). It treats Shanghan Wendu (Cold Damage and Warm Toxins). ○
Treats fire of the Lung and Stomach, specifically excess fire.
