遗精这一病症并非只有一种成因：有心虚神交而导致遗精的，有下元虚惫而导致遗精的，有气盛精满而自然溢出的，有因外界诱惑、情欲萌动而导致遗精的。如果夜间做梦与人交接而遗精，这是心虚神交所致；如果不交合而精液自行滑泄、无法控制，这是因为房事过度损伤了肾气，导致下元虚惫而遗精；如果是年轻力壮、气血旺盛且长期没有房事的人，则是精满而自然溢出；如果是因为对外界事物产生爱慕之情，内心情欲萌动，这也是因为欲望未遂而导致遗精。至于那些年轻气盛、内心情欲萌动的人，只要舒缓情绪、满足欲望，即使不服药也能自愈。然而，如果是夜间梦见与鬼魅交合、精液滑泄不止的情况，则应当平降心火、滋养肾水，使水火既济、心肾相交，培补根本、固护真元，这样才能杜绝泄精。
治疗因思虑无穷、愿望不得实现，导致相火妄动、损伤心肾，出现夜梦遗精、小便余沥不尽的症状。
处方：当归（酒洗）、熟地黄（酒浸）、肉苁蓉（酒浸）、枸杞子、白茯苓、知母（盐炒）、石莲肉、天门冬（去心）、麦门冬（去心，各六两）、黄柏（酒浸炒，二两）、莲须（七钱）、五味子、泽泻、牡蛎。
制法与服法：将上述药材研为细末，用炼蜜调和制成如梧桐子大小的丸剂。每次服用七十丸，空腹时用盐水滚汤送服。

The disease of spermatorrhea (involuntary ejaculation) has various causes: there are cases caused by heart deficiency and spirit interaction, those caused by lower yuan deficiency and exhaustion, those where abundant qi and full essence lead to natural overflow, and those triggered by external attractions stirring emotional desire. If one dreams of sexual intercourse at night and ejaculates, this is due to heart deficiency and spirit interaction. If ejaculation occurs spontaneously without intercourse, characterized by slippery leakage that cannot be controlled, this is because excessive sexual activity has damaged kidney qi, leading to lower yuan deficiency and exhaustion causing spermatorrhea. In young individuals with vigorous qi and blood who have abstained from sexual activity for a long time, seminal emission occurs naturally due to fullness of essence. If one feels attracted to external objects and stirs up emotional desire within, this is also due to unfulfilled desires causing emission. For those who are young, vigorous, and emotionally aroused, simply relaxing the mind and satisfying their desires allows self-healing even without medication. However, in cases of nocturnal emissions involving dreams of demonic intercourse or uncontrollable seminal leakage, one must calm and descend heart fire and nourish kidney water, ensuring the harmonious interaction of water and fire and the connection between heart and kidney. By cultivating the root and consolidating the true essence, leakage can be prevented.
