生胡桃皮，生酸石榴皮，生柿子皮，先将石榴剜去子，入丁香装满，共秤过分
两，然后将胡桃皮、柿子皮秤等分，晒干，同为细末，用牛乳和匀，盛于锡瓶中，
封口，埋马粪内，十日取出，将线一条扯紧，点药于中试之，如走至两头皆黑者，
药即中用，如不然，再埋马粪中数日，即照此法染须发。
人参（二两） 熟地 生地 麦冬（炒） 天冬（炒，各四两） 蜜丸。

甘草（二两，炙） 干姜（一两半） 附子（一枚，生用，去皮，破八片） 水三升，煮一升二合，去
滓温服再服。强人可附子一枚，干姜三两。

生胡桃皮，生酸石榴皮，生柿子皮，先将石榴挖去籽，装入丁香填满，一起称重确定分量，然后将胡桃皮、柿子皮称取等量，晒干，共同研为细末，用牛乳调和均匀，盛放在锡瓶中，封口，埋入马粪中，十天后取出，将一根线扯紧，点上药物在中间进行测试，如果药液蔓延至两头都变黑，说明药物有效，如果不这样，再埋入马粪中数日，就按照这个方法染须发。
人参（二两） 熟地黄 生地黄 麦冬（炒制） 天冬（炒制，各四两） 炼蜜为丸。

甘草（二两，炙制） 干姜（一两半） 附子（一枚，生用，去皮，破成八片） 水三升，煮取一升二合，去渣温服，再次服用。体壮者可加附子一枚，干姜三两。
Lagenariae Spongia (Ejia, 丝瓜络) (two sheng), Coicis Semen (Yiyiren, 薏苡仁) (stir-fried), Benincasae Semen Exocarpium (Gua Ban, 瓜瓣/冬瓜仁) (half sheng each), Persicae Semen (Taoren, 桃仁) (50 grains, skin and tip removed, stir-fried, crushed). Decoct in water and take orally.
Angelicae Sinensis Radix (Danggui, 当归), Poria (Fuling, 茯苓) (each one qian), Chuanxiong Rhizoma (Chuanxiong, 川芎), Rehmanniae Radix Praeparata (Shudi, 熟地黄), Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium (Chenpi, 陈皮), Pinelliae Rhizoma Preparatum (Banxia, 半夏), Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix (Qianghuo, 羌活) (each seven fen), Paeoniae Radix Alba (Baishao, 白芍) (eight fen), Ginseng Radix (Renshen, 人参), Gentianae Macrophyllae Radix (Qinjiao, 秦艽), Achyranthis Bidentatae Radix (Niuxi, 牛膝) (each six fen), Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma (Baizhu, 白术) (four qian), Cinnamomi Ramulus (Guizhi, 桂枝) (three fen), Bupleuri Radix (Chaihu, 柴胡), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao, 甘草) (each four fen), Saposhnikoviae Radix (Fangfeng, 防风) (five fen).

Fresh Juglans Regia Pericarpium (Hetaopi, 胡桃皮), fresh Punica Granatum Pericarpium (Shiliutipi, 酸石榴皮), fresh Diospyros Kaki Pericarpium (Shizitipi, 柿子皮). First, hollow out the seeds from the pomegranate, fill with Tsaoko Cardamomum (Dingxiang, 丁香), weigh together to determine proportions. Then weigh equal parts of walnut peel and persimmon peel, dry them, grind into fine powder, mix evenly with Bos Taurus Lac (Niumu, 牛乳), place in a tin bottle, seal, and bury in horse manure for ten days. Take out, stretch a thread tightly, apply medicine in the middle to test: if it spreads to both ends and turns black, the medicine is effective; otherwise, bury in horse manure for a few more days. Then use this method to dye beard and hair.
Ginseng Radix (Renshen, 人参) (two liang), Rehmanniae Radix Praeparata (Shudi, 熟地黄), Rehmanniae Radix Recens (Shengdi, 生地黄), Ophiopogonis Radix (Maidong, 麦冬) (stir-fried), Asparagi Radix (Tian Dong, 天冬) (stir-fried, four liang each). Make pills with honey.
Polygoni Orientalis Pollen (Puhuang, 蒲黄) (two liang, stir-fried until brown), clear wine (sixteen zhan, pour hot wine over it). Take warm.
Tsaoko Cardamomum (Dingxiang, 丁香), Cinnamomi Cortex (Rougui, 肉桂), Tsaoko Fructus (Caoguo, 草果), Ophiopogonis Radix (Maimendong, 麦门冬), Poria cum Ligno (Chifuling, 赤茯苓), Akebiae Caulis (Mutong, 木通), Arecae Semen (Binglang, 槟榔), Aurantii Fructus Immaturus (Zhike, 枳壳), Magnoliae Officinalis Cortex (Houpo, 厚朴), Chaenomelis Fructus (Mu Gua, 木瓜), Citri Reticulatae Viride Pericarpium (Qingpi, 青皮), Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium (Chenpi, 陈皮), Aucklandiae Radix (Muxiang, 木香), Ginseng Radix (Renshen, 人参), Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma (Baizhu, 白术), Arecae Pericarpium (Dafupi, 大腹皮), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao, 甘草), Perillae Folium (Zisu, 紫苏), Cyperi Rhizoma (Xiangfu, 香附), Acori Tatarinowii Rhizoma (Changpu, 菖蒲), Curcumae Longae Rhizoma (Peng'e Zhu, 蓬莪术).
Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao, 甘草) (two liang, honey-fried), Zingiberis Rhizoma (Ganjiang, 干姜) (one and a half liang), Aconiti Lateralis Radix (Fuzi, 附子) (one piece, raw, skin removed, broken into eight pieces). Three sheng of water, decoct to obtain one sheng two he, remove dregs, take warm, repeat dose. For strong individuals, use one piece of Fuzi and three liang of Ganjiang.
