Xionghuang (Realgar), Lili (Veratrum nigrum), Dansha (Cinnabar), Fanshi (Alumen, one variant reads Alumen), Badou (Crotonis Fructus), Bajiao Fuzi (Aconiti Lateralis Radix Preparata with eight angles) (each two liang).

Add a small amount of honey to prevent the medicinal powder from flying. The preparation should be conducted on an auspicious day and hour designated by the King Phase (Wang Xiang), preferably performed by a young boy after fasting and purification. It should be done on a clear, sunny day without clouds or mist, completing the medicine during daylight hours. Seal it tightly in a container to prevent leakage of qi, and store it in a clean place. Adults take pills the size of small beans. To purge pathogenic factors, do not eat the night before, and take two pills at dawn. If ineffective, drink rice gruel broth to induce purgation. If purgation does not stop, drink cold water to halt it. For diseases located above the diaphragm, vomiting occurs; for diseases below the diaphragm, diarrhea occurs; or simply belching may suffice for recovery. To gradually eliminate disease, or when preparing to take medicine to resolve illness, take three pills the size of hemp seeds. In cases of sudden attack by evil miasma leading to unconsciousness, mix two pills with wine or hot soup, forcibly open the mouth, and pour into the throat.
