上九味， 咀，以水一斗二升，先煮麻黄，去上沫，下诸药煮取四升，分四服。
主治三十年恶风湿痹，头发脱落，瘾疹生疮，气脉不通，抓搔不觉痛痒的方剂：
附子（炮制，去皮） 干姜 白术（各四两） 石斛（半两） 蜀椒（去目，一分，取出汗及闭口者）
上一十二味药，捣碎过筛制成散剂，用酒送服五分匕的量，配合少量的羊肉脯服药，每日两次。不要吃得过饱，饥饿时再服用，常令体内有酒热感，先服用催吐或泻下的药物，然后再服用此药。用皮袋贮存药物以防泄漏，忌食冷水、居处寒湿百日。
第十六卷结束。
第三十五组方剂，灸法二首，论述四首。
小续命汤方：

上一十二味药，切碎，用水一斗，先煮麻黄，去掉上面的浮沫，加入其他药物，煮取三升，分三次服用。有风邪预先准备十剂。
大续命汤方：
麻黄（八两，去节） 大杏仁（四十枚，去皮尖、双仁） 桂心 川芎（各二两） 石膏（四两，打碎） 黄芩 干姜 当归 甘草（炙，各一两） 荆沥（一升）
上一十味药，切碎，用水一斗，先煮麻黄，去掉上面的浮沫，加入其他药物煮取四升，再加入荆沥煮取三升，分四次服用。能说话。未痊愈，之后服用小续命汤。
又小续命汤方：
麻黄（二两，去节） 生姜（五两，切片） 防风（一两半） 芍药 白术 人参 川芎（一两）
上一十二味药，切碎，用水一斗，先煮麻黄，去掉上面的浮沫，加入其他药物，煮取三升，分三次服用。
西州续命汤方：
麻黄（六两，去节） 石膏（四两，打碎） 桂心（二两） 杏仁（三十枚，去皮尖、双仁） 川芎 干姜 黄芩 当归 甘草（炙，各一两）
上九味药，切碎，用水一斗二升，先煮麻黄，去掉上面的浮沫，加入其他药物煮取四升，分四次服用。
A prescription for treating severe wind-damp bi-syndrome lasting thirty years, hair loss, urticaria with sores, obstruction of qi and vessels, and numbness or lack of sensation to itching and pain upon scratching:
Fuzi (Prepared Aconiti Lateralis Radix, processed by frying, skin removed) Ganjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma) Baizhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma) [each four liang] Shihu (Dendrobii Caulis) Shujiao (Sichuan Pepper, remove eyes, one fen, select those that have sweated out moisture and are closed-mouthed).
Take the above twelve ingredients, pound and sieve into a powder. Take five fenbi (a small measuring spoon) with wine, accompanied by a small amount of mutton jerky. Take twice daily. Do not overeat; take again when hungry, ensuring there is always a warming sensation from the wine in the body. First take emetic or purgative medicine, then take this prescription. Store the medicine in a leather bag to prevent leakage. Avoid cold water and damp rooms for one hundred days.

Xiaoxuming Tang (Minor Continuation Life Decoction):
Mahuang (Ephedrae Herba, remove nodes) Fangji (Stephaniae Tetrandrae Radix) Renshen (Ginseng Radix) Guixin (Cinnamomi Ramulus) Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix) Shaoyao (Paeoniae Radix) Xiong (Chuanxiong Rhizome) Xingren (Armeniacae Semen Amarum, remove tips, skins, and double-kernel ones) Gancao (Licorice Root, roasted) [each one liang] Fuzi (Prepared Aconiti Lateralis Radix, one piece, processed by frying, skin removed) Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix) Shengjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens, five liang, sliced).
Take the above twelve ingredients, chop coarsely. Use ten dou of water. First boil Mahuang, remove the foam on the surface, then add the other herbs. Boil until three sheng remain. Divide into three doses. Prepare ten doses in advance for those susceptible to wind pathogens.
Daxuming Tang (Major Continuation Life Decoction):
Mahuang (Ephedrae Herba, eight liang, remove nodes) Daxingren (Armeniacae Semen Amarum, forty pieces, remove skins, tips, and double-kernel ones) Guixin (Cinnamomi Ramulus) Xiong (Chuanxiong Rhizome) [each two liang] Shigao (Gypsum Fibrosum, four liang, crushed) Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix) Ganjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma) Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix) Gancao (Licorice Root, roasted) [each one liang] Jingli (Juglandis Fructus Juice, one sheng).
Take the above ten ingredients, chop coarsely. Use ten dou of water. First boil Mahuang, remove the foam on the surface, then add the other herbs and boil until four sheng remain. Add Jingli and boil until three sheng remain. Divide into four doses. If the patient can speak but has not recovered, subsequently administer Xiaoxuming Tang.
Another Xiaoxuming Tang (Minor Continuation Life Decoction):
Mahuang (Ephedrae Herba, two liang, remove nodes) Shengjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens, five liang, sliced) Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix, one and a half liang) Shaoyao (Paeoniae Radix) Baizhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma) Renshen (Ginseng Radix) Xiong (Chuanxiong Rhizome, one liang).
Take the above twelve ingredients, chop coarsely. Use ten dou of water. First boil Mahuang, remove the foam on the surface, then add the other herbs. Boil until three sheng remain. Divide into three doses.
Xizhou Xuming Tang (Xizhou Continuation Life Decoction):
Mahuang (Ephedrae Herba, six liang, remove nodes) Shigao (Gypsum Fibrosum, four liang, crushed) Guixin (Cinnamomi Ramulus, two liang) Xingren (Armeniacae Semen Amarum, thirty pieces, remove skins, tips, and double-kernel ones) Xiong (Chuanxiong Rhizome) Ganjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma) Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix) Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix) Gancao (Licorice Root, roasted) [each one liang].
Take the above nine ingredients, chop coarsely. Use one dou and two sheng of water. First boil Mahuang, remove the foam on the surface, then add the other herbs. Boil until four sheng remain. Divide into four doses.
