治小便不通 用朴硝为末，每服二钱，茴香汤下。

Treatment for Shui Gu (water gu disease) with abdominal distension, splashing sound when moving, black skin: Take Ba Dou (Crotonis Semen) peeled and cored, roasted yellow, make pills like small beans. Send down one pill with water, stop when diarrhea occurs, do not drink alcohol.
Treatment for Shui Gu disease regardless of duration: Take Da Ji (Euphorbiae Pekinensis Radix), Dang Gui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), Chen Pi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium) each 1 liang, finely chopped. Add 2 sheng of water, boil to 0.7 parts, take all at once; passing 2-3 dou of stool is normal, severe cases may require a second dose.

Another prescription: Burn branches of mulberry trees growing eastward to ash, leach juice, cook Chi Xiao Dou (Adzuki Bean) in it, eat on an empty stomach, finish when full or hungry, do not eat other food.
Treatment for water qi causing skin itching: Take Zhi Ke (Aurantii Fructus) 1 liang, powder, sip like tea before meals. Also improves vision.
Treatment for edema: Cut Bai Shang Lu (Phytolaccae Radix) finely 1 sheng, mutton 6 liang. Add 1 dou of water, boil to 6 sheng, remove dregs, make soup with meat, scallion, and fermented soybean, eat as usual.

Treatment for massive edema, abdominal distension, indigestion: Take Xiang Ru (Moslae Herba) 50 jin, finely chopped, put in pot, cover with water several inches above, boil until flavor is exhausted, remove dregs, clarify.
Treatment for edema preventing sitting or lying, swelling of head, face, and body: Scrape skin off Suo Luo Gen (Fici Radix), pound to juice 1 he, mix with 1 he of wine, take warm on an empty stomach, mild vomiting and diarrhea should occur.
