Zhou Yufan stated: The Yun (Circulating) method involves promoting movement, meaning to rotate and move around in all four directions. The technique should be light rather than heavy, and slow rather than urgent, so that blood vessels flow smoothly and meridians and collaterals are unblocked. In this way, the Qi mechanism achieves a state of harmony, and the illness will naturally recover.
1. Circulate Taiyang (Taiyang Acupoint). Use both thumbs to circulate the child's two Taiyang points. Rotating towards the ear is the reducing method, while rotating towards the eye is the tonifying method. (*Guangyi*)
2. Circulate the High Bone behind the Ear. Use the middle and ring fingers of both hands to rub and circulate the high bone behind the ear for twenty-four repetitions, followed by three pinches, to treat Wind-Heat. (*Guangyi*)
3. Circulate the Five Meridians. The "Five Meridians" refer to the tips of the five fingers. Circulating them treats abdominal distension and borborygmus, disharmony of Qi and Blood above and below, alternating chills and fever, and twitching or spasms of the four limbs. (*Anmo Jing*)
4. Circulate the Inner Eight Trigrams. Using the surface of the thumb, start from the Qian position and circulate to the Dui position. When reaching the Li position, use light pressure to avoid pushing up Heart Fire; for the rest, use heavier pressure. This can open the chest and resolve Phlegm. (*Anmo Jing*)
5. Circulate the Outer Eight Trigrams. The Outer Eight Trigrams are located on the back of the palm. Circulating them can unblock the Qi and Blood of the entire body, open the secretions and blockages of the Zang-Fu organs, and bring the acupoints and collaterals into a peaceful and expansive state. (*Anmo Jing*). Diagram attached in Volume 3.
6. Circulate Water into Earth. Treats conditions where Water is excessive and Earth is deficient, leading to indigestion. Conversely, Circulate Earth into Water treats conditions where Water and Fire fail to interact harmoniously. (*Anmo Jing*). Diagram attached in Volume 3.
7. Circulate Neilaogong (Inner Laogong Acupoint). The practitioner bends the middle finger to circulate it. Rightward circulation induces cooling, while leftward circulation induces sweating. (*Anmo Jing*)
Zhou Yufan stated: The Cuo (Rubbing/Rotating) method involves rotation. It refers to joining both hands together and rubbing them against each other in a rotational manner. Whether rubbing with two fingers or both hands, it maximizes the subtleties of movement, emerging from the Mo (Rubbing) method.
1. Rub the Five Meridians. The "Five Meridians" refer to the tips of the five fingers. Rubbing them together with the thumb and index finger can stimulate the Qi of the Zang-Fu organs. (*Anmo Jing*)
2. Rub the Index Finger. Note: The section above the Guan (Bar) is the Feng Guan (Wind Gate), the middle section is the Qi Guan (Qi Gate), and the section below is the Ming Guan (Life Gate). Rubbing straight between the thumb and middle finger can resolve Phlegm. (*Anmo Jing*)
3. Rub Yongquan (Yongquan Acupoint). Rubbing towards the big toe with the left hand stops vomiting. Rubbing towards the little finger with the right hand stops diarrhea. (*Anmo Jing*)
4. Rub the area below the navel, such as the Dantian (Elixir Field). Use the right hand to rub around it, moving back and forth, to treat abdominal distension and pain. (*Anmo Jing*)
