脉
右关脉洪数，或弦而洪，肠胃中有风热而痛；尺脉洪大而虚者，肾虚，主齿动摇疏豁，相火上炎而痛。
病
夫齿者，肾之标，骨之余也。足阳明胃之脉，贯络于齿上龈；手阳明大肠之脉，贯络于齿下龈。手阳
明恶寒饮而喜热饮，足阳明恶热饮而喜寒饮。有开口呷风则痛甚者，肠胃中有风邪也；有开口
则哕臭不可近者，肠胃中有积热也；有痛而动摇者，肾元虚也；有虫食而痛者，盖肠胃中有湿热而生虫也。
治
治之宜泻阳明之湿热，更以擦牙诛虫之剂以治其标，则齿自然而固矣。
一牙痛之证，其人肠胃素有湿热，上出于牙龈之间，适被风寒，或饮冷所郁，则湿热不得外达，故作痛也。
一牙痛胃脉弱而无力者，以补中益气汤加生地黄、牡丹皮。
方
清胃散 治上下牙齿疼痛不可忍，牵引头脑，满面发热大痛。
此因服补胃热药，或食辛热之物过多之所致也，此药神效。
当归身 生地黄（酒洗） 黄连（夏月倍用） 牡丹皮（各三钱） 升麻（一两）
上锉一剂，水煎，稍冷服。如痛甚，加石膏二钱，细辛三分，黄芩一钱，细茶三钱，大黄蒸一钱。肿，
加防风、荆芥各一钱。
治胃有实热齿痛，或上 痛尤甚者。
用凉膈散，大黄以酒蒸为君，加知母、石膏、升麻为佐，频频噙咽，即愈。
细辛汤 治上 牙疼，属足少阴肾虚热。

上锉，水煎，温服。
千金一笑散（翟敬 传） 治牙痛不可忍，登时即止。
巴豆（一个，入大火略烧，去壳） 胡椒（三粒）
上同一处捣，令烂，用薄绵包药入口，上下痛齿咬定，流出涎
水，勿咽，良久取出即止。若是三两个牙痛，多是虫牙痛，去胡椒用花椒，如法使。
塞耳药（宋兰皋方） 治牙疼。
用壁钱包胡椒末，如左边痛塞右耳，右边痛塞左耳，手掩枕之侧卧，少时额上微汗即愈。
杀虫丸（俞元河方） 治虫牙，方见黑鹅小线。
好信不拘多少，量加黄丹少许，以黄蜡熔成一块，旋用旋丸，如黄豆大，用白薄丝绵包裹留尾。如右
牙痛则塞右耳，左牙痛则塞左耳，两边俱痛，则两耳俱塞，必深入耳孔，一夜其虫即死，一生永不复痛矣。
哭来笑去散（齐双泉传） 治牙齿痛，神效。
雄乳胡椒麝 荜茇良姜细 哭将来笑将去
上各等分为末，每用少许，吹男左女右鼻中立止。如牙痛脸肿，用纸卷药末在内作条，蘸香油点着，燎
牙痛处，火灭再燃再燎，条烧尽则止。
牙疼噙漱药（李益庵传）
蜂房一个，每一孔内纳胡椒、花椒各一粒，用碗盛之，入水令满，加黄柏，如指大三片于内，以盘盖住，
用纸封固，或面糊固住亦可，重汤煮，令一炷香尽取出，候温，漱噙良久，吐出再漱即止。
漱牙止痛三方（何通府传）〔批〕（按此方牙疼外治之剂）
一方用蛇床子，不拘多少，煎水热噙漱之即止；一方用白蒺藜，不拘多少，水煎噙漱，一用烧酒煎亦
效；一方用小麦，不拘多少，炒焦淬入烧酒，去渣噙漱立止。
甘露饮子 治男妇胃中客热口气，齿龈肿闷宣露，心中多烦，饿不欲食，喜眠睡，及咽喉中有疮。
天门冬（泡，去心） 麦门冬（泡，去心） 生地黄 熟地黄 黄芩 枳壳
山茵陈 石斛 枇杷叶 甘草（各等分）
上锉作剂，水煎，食后温服。若齿龈宣露肿闷，煎药漱之，冷热皆可。
玉池散 治牙流脓血，变骨槽风者，及骨已出者，或摇不牢，牙痛牙痒。
地骨皮 白芷 升麻 防风 细辛 川芎 槐花 当归（去头） 本（去土） 甘草（生，各一钱）
上作一剂，水煎去渣，温热漱口，冷则吐之，煎服尤妙。张龙图去地骨皮，加独活。
治牙宣出血（刘清汶传）
香附（一两，炒黑存性） 侧柏叶（五钱） 青盐（三钱） 石膏（一两）
上四味俱炒，出大毒，为末，每清晨擦牙，漱吐之
牢牙散 治牙龈肉绽，有牙疳肿痛，牙动摇欲落，牙不长，牙黄口臭。
升麻（四两） 羌活（一两） 龙胆草（酒洗，两半） 羊胫骨（烧灰，四两）
上为末，和匀，卧时贴在牙龈上。
神功丸 治牙齿疳蚀，牙龈肉将脱，血不止，并治多食肉，口臭不可近。
当归（一钱） 生地黄（酒浸，三钱） 黄连（五钱） 升麻（二钱） 藿香（一钱） 木
香（一钱） 砂仁（五钱） 甘草（生，三钱） 兰香叶（一钱）
上为末，汤浸蒸饼为丸，如绿豆大。每服一百丸，加至三百丸，食远白汤下。兼治血痢、血崩，血
下不止，血下褐色，或紫色、黑色，及肠癖下血，空心米汤下。其脉洪大而缓者，及治麻木，厥气上冲，逆气上行。
立效散 治走马牙疳。
青黛 黄柏（末） 白矾 五倍子（炒，各一钱）
上为末，先用米泔水漱口，掺患处。
神灯照眼法（俞监生传） 治牙床上下肿烂作痛，或因杨梅疮多服轻
粉，致筋骨疼痛，而作牙匡肿烂者。
乳香（二钱） 没药（二钱） 雄黄（一钱） 朱砂（八分） 水银（钱半，唾研） 锡花
（钱半） 银朱（一钱） 川乌（钱半） 草乌（钱半） 白芷（一钱） 自然铜（二钱）
上为末，绵纸裹作条子，香油透点灯，以瓦片盛置斗内，或桶
内，将手掩其口鼻，以目观灯，先将被覆其身手，勿令透气，即愈，或有汗为妙。
固齿丹（太医院传）
骨碎补一味，水洗净，铜刀切片，用铜锅炒，以槐枝不住搅炒，取出候冷，又上火炒微黑色，又住火，
冷后又炒至老黑色，以文武火炒之，研为末。不时擦牙，极能坚骨固齿补髓，去骨中毒风气，止筋骨痛，治牙则
痛不复作。如牙将落，动摇者，频频服之立住，再不复动。
乌须固齿补肾散（刘司寇传）
当归（酒浸） 小川芎 荆芥穗 香附米 白芍药 甘枸杞（各二两半）
熟地黄（二两半） 川牛膝（去芦，二两，酒浸） 细辛（三钱） 破故纸（两半） 升麻（五钱） 青盐（三两）
上为末，用老米一升，煮饭合成丸，阴干，入瓦砂罐内封固，炭火，或桑柴火烧成灰存性，研为末，
用铅盒盛之。清晨鸳鸯手擦牙，滚汤漱咽下，至老牙不痛，齿不落。士大夫年至四十者，能常
用此药于须发未白之先，可免染须之劳，深为有益也。
擦牙固齿方（张小庵传）
黑铅（四两，用柳枝切碎，炒半日黄色成灰） 青盐（二两半，炒） 当归（五钱）
细辛（三钱） 朱砂（二钱）
上为细末，擦牙漱口。
乌须固齿擦牙散（太医院传）
细辛 川芎 莲须 香附 生地黄 当归（以上俱烧过存性） 青盐（生用，各等分）
上为细末，清晨擦牙，温水漱咽，日日不可间断，不忌三白。
乌须还少丹（京师传）〔批〕（按此方擦牙乌须固齿之剂）
川芎（一两） 旱莲草（二两） 当归（一两） 牙皂（五钱） 白茯苓（一两） 青盐
（二两半） 黄柏（五钱）
上为末，入砂罐内封固，炭火 ，烟尽为度，取出为细末，瓷罐收贮，每早擦牙。
牙落重生（京师传）
公鼠骨一副（取骨法∶用鼠一个，剥去皮，用卤一擦上，三日肉烂化尽，取骨，
瓦上焙干用） 香附（一两） 白芷 川芎 桑皮 地骨皮 川椒 蒲公英 旱莲草 青盐 川槿皮（各三钱）
上为细末，擦百日，其牙复生，良验。
生牙齿方（京师传）
用未开眼嫩老鼠三、四个，外用白芨、白芷、青盐、细辛、当归、熟地黄各五钱，除地黄捣烂，将前五
味研为末，用地黄捣烂如泥，和匀一饼，包老鼠在药内，外用湿纸包裹，文武火烧，尽烟闭死，研末擦上，即生牙。
脉象
右关脉（对应脾胃）洪大数急，或弦而洪大，是肠胃中有风热邪气导致疼痛；尺脉（对应肾与膀胱）洪大而虚，是肾虚的表现，主要症状为牙齿松动稀疏，因相火（寄居于肝肾的命门之火）上炎而引起疼痛。
病症
牙齿，是肾脏的外在标志，也是骨骼的余气所化。足阳明胃经的经脉，贯穿并联络上牙龈；手阳明大肠经的经脉，贯穿并联络下牙龈。手阳明大肠经患者厌恶冷饮而喜欢热饮，足阳明胃经患者厌恶热饮而喜欢冷饮。有的患者张口吸入冷风则疼痛加剧，这是肠胃中有风邪所致；有的患者张口则呃逆且口气臭秽不可靠近，这是肠胃中有积热所致；有的牙齿疼痛且松动，这是肾元虚弱所致；有的因虫蛀而疼痛，这是因为肠胃中有湿热而生虫所致。
治疗原则
治疗应当清泻阳明经的湿热，再配合使用擦牙杀虫的药物来治标，那么牙齿自然就会坚固。
一、牙痛的证候：如果患者肠胃素来有湿热，向上溢出到牙龈之间，恰好被风寒侵袭，或因饮用冷水郁遏，导致湿热无法向外发散，因此发生疼痛。
二、若牙痛患者胃脉弱而无力，使用补中益气汤加生地黄、牡丹皮。
方剂
清胃散：治疗上下牙齿剧烈疼痛，牵引头脑，满面发热剧痛。
这是由于服用温补胃热的药物，或食用辛辣热性食物过多所导致的，此药效果神奇。
当归身、生地黄（用酒清洗）、黄连（夏季加倍使用）、牡丹皮（各三钱）、升麻（一两）。

治疗胃有实热引起的齿痛，或者上部牙齿疼痛特别严重的。
使用凉膈散，以酒蒸的大黄为君药，加入知母、石膏、升麻作为佐药，频繁含咽，即可痊愈。
细辛汤：治疗上部牙齿疼痛，属于足少阴肾经的虚热。
升麻（一两）、细辛（二两）、黄连（一两）、蔓荆子（一两半）、牛蒡子（一两半）、荜茇（一两半）、薄荷（五钱）、黄柏（七钱）、知母（七钱）、防己（一两）。
以上药材切碎，加水煎煮，温服。
白芷汤〔批注〕（按：此方为清火止痛的药剂）：治疗下部牙齿疼痛，属于手阳明经的虚热兼有风邪。
防风、荆芥、连翘、白芷、薄荷、赤芍、石膏。
以上药材切碎，加水煎煮，温服。
千金一笑散（翟敬 传授）：治疗难以忍受的牙痛，立即停止。
巴豆（一个，放入大火中略烧，去壳）、胡椒（三粒）。
以上放在一起捣烂，用薄棉包裹药团放入口中，上下疼痛的牙齿咬定，流出涎水，不要咽下，过很久取出即止。如果是两三颗牙齿疼痛，多是虫牙痛，去掉胡椒改用花椒，按此法使用。
塞耳药（宋兰皋方）：治疗牙疼。
用壁钱包住胡椒末，如果左边痛塞右耳，右边痛塞左耳，用手掩住枕头侧卧，一会儿额头微微出汗即愈。
杀虫丸（俞元河方）：治疗虫牙，方剂见“黑鹅小线”条。
好信（一种矿物药，具体指代需考证，此处保留原名）不拘多少，适量加入少许黄丹，用黄蜡熔化成一块，随时制作成丸，如黄豆大小，用白色薄丝绵包裹留尾。如果右牙痛则塞右耳，左牙痛则塞左耳，两边都痛则两耳都塞，必须深入耳孔，一夜虫子即死，终身不再疼痛。

雄黄、乳香、胡椒、麝香、荜茇、良姜、细辛。
以上各等分研为末，每次取少许，吹入男性左鼻孔或女性右鼻孔中立即停止。如果牙痛伴脸部肿胀，用纸卷药末做成条状，蘸香油点燃，熏燎牙痛处，火灭后再燃再燎，条烧尽则止。
牙疼噙漱药（李益庵传授）
蜂房一个，在每个孔内纳入胡椒、花椒各一粒，用碗盛装，加水至满，加入黄柏，如手指大三片在内，用盘子盖住，用纸封固，或用面糊封固也可以，隔水炖煮，直到一炷香的时间取出，待温热，含漱良久，吐出后再漱即止。

以上作一剂，加水煎煮去渣，温热漱口，冷了则吐掉，煎服尤其妙。张龙图去掉地骨皮，加独活。
治疗牙宣出血（刘清汶传授）
香附（一两，炒黑存性）、侧柏叶（五钱）、青盐（三钱）、石膏（一两）。
以上四味都炒，去除大毒性，研为末，每天清晨擦牙，漱口吐出。
牢牙散：治疗牙龈肉绽裂，有牙疳肿痛，牙齿动摇欲落，牙齿不长，牙黄口臭。
升麻（四两）、羌活（一两）、龙胆草（酒洗，一两半）、羊胫骨（烧灰，四两）。
以上研为末，和匀，睡前贴在牙龈上。
神功丸：治疗牙齿疳蚀，牙龈肉将脱落，出血不止，并治疗多吃肉后口臭不可靠近。

以上研为末，用汤浸泡蒸饼制成丸，如绿豆大小。每次服用一百丸，加至三百丸，饭后用白开水送下。兼治血痢、血崩，血液下注不止，血色褐色，或紫色、黑色，以及肠癖下血，空腹米汤送下。其脉洪大而缓者，以及治疗麻木，厥气上冲，逆气上行。
立效散：治疗走马牙疳。

以上研为末，先用米泔水漱口，掺于患处。

只用骨碎补一味药，用水洗净，用铜刀切片，用铜锅炒，用槐枝不停搅拌翻炒，取出待冷，再次上火炒至微黑色，又停火，冷后又炒至老黑色，用文武火炒之，研为末。不时擦牙，极能坚骨固齿补髓，去除骨中毒风气，止筋骨痛，治疗牙痛不再发作。如果牙齿将落，摇动的，频频服用立即稳固，不再移动。

以上研为末，放入砂罐内封固，炭火煅，烟尽为止，取出研为细末，瓷罐收贮，每天早晨擦牙。
牙落重生（京师传授）

Pulse Diagnosis
The pulse at the right Guan position (corresponding to the Spleen and Stomach) is surging, rapid, or wiry and surging, indicating wind-heat pathogen in the Intestines and Stomach causing pain; the Chi pulse (corresponding to the Kidney and Bladder) is surging yet deficient, indicating Kidney deficiency, primarily manifesting as loose and sparse teeth, with pain caused by the flaming fire of the Ministerial Fire (Mingmen fire residing in the Liver and Kidneys) flaring upward.
Disease Manifestations
Teeth are the external manifestation of the Kidney and the surplus of bone essence. The Foot-Yangming Stomach Meridian penetrates and connects to the upper gums; the Hand-Yangming Large Intestine Meridian penetrates and connects to the lower gums. Patients with Hand-Yangming meridian involvement dislike cold drinks and prefer hot drinks, while those with Foot-Yangming meridian involvement dislike hot drinks and prefer cold drinks. Some patients experience severe pain when opening their mouth to inhale wind, which is due to wind pathogen in the Intestines and Stomach; some patients experience hiccups and foul breath that cannot be approached upon opening their mouth, which is due to accumulated heat in the Intestines and Stomach; some have painful and loose teeth, which is due to deficiency of Kidney Yuan Qi; some have pain from tooth decay, which is because damp-heat in the Intestines and Stomach generates parasites.
Treatment Principles
Treatment should focus on draining damp-heat from the Yangming meridians, combined with using dental powders for cleaning and killing parasites to treat the branch symptoms, so that the teeth will naturally become firm.
First, regarding the syndrome of toothache: if the patient has had damp-heat in the Intestines and Stomach since childhood, which rises to overflow between the gums, and is simultaneously affected by wind-cold or depressed by drinking cold water, causing the damp-heat unable to diffuse outward, thus causing pain.
Second, if the stomach pulse is weak and powerless in cases of toothache, use Buzhong Yiqi Tang (Spleen-Raising Qi-Supplementing Decoction) added with Shengdi Huang (Rehmanniae Radix) and Mudan Pi (Moutan Cortex).
Formulas
Qingwei San (Stomach-Clearing Powder): Treats unbearable pain in upper and lower teeth, radiating to the head, with facial fever and severe pain.
This is caused by taking heat-warming stomach tonics or consuming too much spicy and hot food. This medicine is miraculous.
Danggui Shen (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), Sheng Di Huang (Rehmanniae Radix, washed with wine), Huang Lian (Coptidis Rhizoma, doubled in summer), Mudan Pi (Moutan Cortex) (each 3 qian), Shengma ( Cimicifugae Rhizoma) (1 liang).
Chop these into one dose, decoct in water, and take slightly cool. If pain is severe, add Shigao (Gypsum Fibrosum) 2 qian, Xixin (Asari Radix) 3 fen, Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix) 1 qian, Xi Cha (Fine Tea) 3 qian, Dahuang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma, steamed) 1 qian. If swollen, add Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix) and Jingjie (Schizonepetae Spica) each 1 qian.
For toothache caused by excess heat in the Stomach, or especially severe pain in the upper teeth.
Use Liangge San (Cool the Chest Powder), using Jiudahuang (Alcohol-steamed Rhei Radix et Rhizoma) as the sovereign herb, adding Zhimu (Anemarrhenae Rhizoma), Shigao (Gypsum Fibrosum), and Shengma (Cimicifugae Rhizoma) as minister herbs. Frequently hold and swallow, and it will heal.
Xixin Tang (Asari Decoction): Treats upper toothache, belonging to deficiency-heat of the Foot-Shaoyin Kidney channel.
Shengma (Cimicifugae Rhizoma) (1 liang), Xixin (Asari Radix) (2 liang), Huang Lian (Coptidis Rhizoma) (1 liang), Manjingzi (Viticis Semen) (1.5 liang), Niubangzi (Arctii Fructus) (1.5 liang), Bibo (Piperis Kadsurae Fructus) (1.5 liang), Bohe (Menthae Haplocalycis Herba) (5 qian), Huangbai (Phellodendri Cortex) (7 qian), Zhimu (Anemarrhenae Rhizoma) (7 qian), Fangji (Stephaniae Tetrandrae Radix) (1 liang).
Chop these, decoct in water, and take warm.
Baizhi Tang (Angelicae Dahuricae Decoction) [Commentary: According to this, a formula for clearing fire and stopping pain]: Treats lower toothache, belonging to deficiency-heat with wind in the Hand-Yangming channel.
Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix), Jingjie (Schizonepetae Spica), Lianqiao (Forsythiae Fructus), Baizhi (Angelicae Dahuricae Radix), Bohe (Menthae Haplocalycis Herba), Chishao (Paeoniae Radix Rubra), Shigao (Gypsum Fibrosum).
Chop these, decoct in water, and take warm.
Qianjin Yixiao San (Thousand Gold Laugh-to-Gone Powder) (Passed by Zhai Jing): Treats unbearable toothache, stopping immediately.
Badou (Crotonis Fructus) (one bean, briefly roasted over high fire, shell removed), Hujiao (Piperis Longi Fructus) (three grains).
Grind them together until paste-like, wrap the medicine in thin cotton, place in mouth, bite down on painful teeth, allow saliva to flow out, do not swallow, remove after a long time to stop pain. If only two or three teeth hurt, it is mostly parasitic toothache; remove Hujiao and use Huajiao (Zanthoxyli Pericarpium) instead, apply according to method.
Saier Yao (Ear-Plugging Medicine) (Formula by Song Langgao): Treats toothache.

Grind equal parts into powder. Use small amount, blow into male's left nostril or female's right nostril to stop immediately. If face is swollen with toothache, roll powder in paper into strip, dip in sesame oil, light it, smoke the painful tooth area. Extinguish and relight repeatedly until strip burns out to stop.
Yateng Qinshu Yao (Toothache Holding-Rinsing Medicine) (Passed by Li Yi'an):
One honeycomb, put one grain of Hujiao (Piperis Longi Fructus) and one grain of Huajiao (Zanthoxyli Pericarpium) into each hole. Place in bowl, fill with water. Add Huangbai (Phellodendri Cortex) slices as thick as finger. Cover with plate, seal with paper or flour paste. Steep in double boiler until incense stick burns out. Take out, wait for warmth, hold and rinse mouth for a long time, spit out, rinse again to stop.
Shuya Zhitong Sanfang (Three Formulas for Rinsing Teeth to Stop Pain) (Passed by He Tongfu) [Commentary: According to this, external treatment formulas for toothache]:
One formula uses Shechuangzi (Cnidii Fructus), any amount, decoct in water, rinse hot to stop; One formula uses Baijili (Tribuli Fructus), any amount, decoct in water to rinse, decoct in Shaojiu (Baijiu) is also effective; One formula uses Xiaomai (Tritici Fructus), any amount, stir-fry until charred, quench in Shaojiu, remove dregs, rinse to stop immediately.
Ganyu Yinzi (Sweet Dew Drink): Treats men and women with guest-heat in Stomach causing bad breath, swollen and protruding gums, mental restlessness, hunger without desire to eat, preference for sleep, and ulcers in throat.
Tianmendong (Asparagi Radix, soaked, heart removed), Maimendong (Ophiopogonis Radix, soaked, heart removed), Sheng Di Huang (Rehmanniae Radix), Shu Di Huang (Prepared Rehmanniae Radix), Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix), Zhike (Aurantii Fructus), Shanyinchen (Artemisiae Scopariae Herba), Shihu (Dendrobii Caulis), Pipaye (Eriobotryae Folium), Gancao (Licorice Root) (equal parts).
Chop into dose, decoct in water, take warm after meals. If gums are protruding and swollen, use decoction to rinse, hot or cold is fine.
Yuchi San (Jade Pool Powder): Treats teeth oozing pus and blood, transforming into Gucao Feng (Bone Trench Wind/Alveolar Osteitis), exposed bone, or loose teeth, toothache and itching.
Digupi (Lycii Cortex), Baizhi (Angelicae Dahuricae Radix), Shengma (Cimicifugae Rhizoma), Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix), Xixin (Asari Radix), Chuanxiong (Ligusticum Chuanxiong Rhizoma), Huaihua (Sophorae Flos), Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix, head removed), Ben Cao (Ligustici Wallichii Rhizoma, soil removed), Gancao (Licorice Root, raw, each 1 qian).
Make one dose, decoct in water, remove dregs, rinse with warm liquid, spit out if cold. Decocting and drinking is even better. Zhang Longtu removes Digupi, adds Duhuo (Angelicae Pubescentis Radix).
Treating Ya Xuan Bleeding (Passed by Liu Qingwen):
Xiangfu (Cyperi Rhizoma, 1 liang, stir-fried black retaining character), Cebaiye (Platycladi Cacumen, 5 qian), Qingyan (Blue Vitriol/Salt, 3 qian), Shigao (Gypsum Fibrosum, 1 liang).

Grind to powder, soak in soup, steam with steamed bread dough to make pills, size of mung bean. Take 100 pills per dose, increase to 300, swallow with plain water far from meals. Also treats bloody dysentery, metrorrhagia, continuous bleeding, brown/purple/black blood, intestinal bleeding with blood, take on empty stomach with rice soup. For surging and slow pulses, numbness, rising Jue Qi, and ascending rebellious Qi.
Lixiao San (Immediate Effect Powder): Treats Zouma Ya Gan (Running Horse Tooth Rot/Noma).

Grind to powder, wrap in cotton paper into strips, soak in sesame oil, light lamp. Place on tile inside bucket or jar. Cover nose and mouth with hands, watch the lamp flame. Cover body and limbs with quilt to prevent air leakage. Cure achieved, sweating is ideal.
Guchi Dan (Teeth-Firming Elixir) (Passed by Imperial Hospital):
Only Gusuibu (Drynariae Rhizoma). Wash clean, slice with copper knife, stir-fry in copper pot, stirring constantly with locust branches. Grind to powder. Use one sheng of old rice, cook into rice, form pills, dry in shade. Seal in clay jar. Burn with charcoal or mulberry wood until ash retains character. Grind to powder, store in lead box. Rub teeth with "Mandarin Duck Hands" (both hands) in morning, rinse and swallow with boiling water. Teeth will not hurt or fall out in old age. Scholars aged forty who use this before hair turns white can avoid dyeing labor, very beneficial.

Grind to fine powder. Rub teeth in morning, rinse and swallow with warm water. Do not interrupt daily. No restriction on "Three Whites" (green onion, garlic, chives).

Gongshu Gu (Male Rat Bone, one pair) (Extraction method: Take one rat, skin it, rub with brine, wait three days until flesh rots away, take bone, bake on tile). Use 3-4 unopened-eye young rats.
