以上药物每次服用二钱，加生姜一片、大枣两枚，水煎服。
白扁豆（俗名雀豆，颜色净白类似薏苡仁的为好）、赤小豆、绿豆（各三两，均带壳用甘草煎汁浸泡一夜后晒干研末）。
蝉蜕（一两）。
以上药物各取粉末。用胡荽一两，酒浸泡一夜，煎取汁液。将药粉泛丸，如黍米大小。辰砂五钱，作为衣料包裹。每次服用一钱。初起时……
柴胡、真降香、檀香（各一两）、葱（二十茎）、全当归（二两）、蒸笼膏（五钱），煎汤。
加入淡黄酒二两，倒入浴桶内。将患儿置于浴桶上方，隔着被单熏蒸。每日三次。熏蒸后眼睛微微转动，渐渐有哭声，可望病情好转。配合内服泻毒饮。
（治疗痘粒干枯收敛。）
大生地黄、玄参、全当归（各一两）、金银花（八钱）、生甘草（五钱）、法制半夏（三钱）。
加入金汁半酒杯、辰砂一分，冲服。服用两剂。按照前面的熏蒸方，两天六次。痘疮重新隆起，灌浆不足，或多数此症是因火有余而气虚所致。接着服用托里益气汤。

金银花、玄参（各二钱）、人中黄（五钱）、鲜芦根（八钱）、上黄柏（饭锅蒸熟三钱）。

Codonopsis Radix (Dangshen), Clove (Dingxiang), Aucklandiae Radix (Muxiang), Nutmeg (Roudoukou), Tangerine Peel (Chenpi), Magnoliae Officinalis Cortex (Houpo) (each 2.5 qian), Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma (Baizhu), Poria (Fuling), Cinnamon Twig (Guangui), Angelicae Sinensis Radix (Danggui) (each 2 qian).
For each dose, take 2 qian of the powder, add one slice of fresh ginger and two jujubes, decoct in water, and drink.
White Coix Seed (Baidou, commonly known as Que Dou; choose those that are pure white and resemble Coicis Semen/Job's Tears) (3 liang), Red Bean (Chidou), Mung Bean (Ludou) (each 3 liang). All should be kept with their shells, soaked overnight in a decoction of Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao), dried, and ground into powder.
Cicada Slough (Chan) (1 liang).
Take the powder from the above ingredients. Use Coriandri Fructus (Huxu) 1 liang, soak in wine overnight, decoct to obtain the juice. Use this juice to pill the powder into pellets the size of millet seeds. Cinabar (Chensha) 5 qian is used as a coating for the pills. Each dose is 1 qian. At the initial stage...
Bupleuri Radix (Chaihu), Agarwood (Zhen Jiangxiang), Sandalwood (Tanxiang) (each 1 liang), Scallion (Cong) (20 stalks), Whole Angelicae Sinensis Radix (Quanguidang), Steamer Paste (Zhenglong Gao) (5 qian). Decoct in water.
Add 2 liang of light yellow rice wine, pour into a bathing tub. Place the infant over the tub, steaming them while covered with a sheet. Perform three times daily. After steaming, if the eyes move slightly and there is gradual crying, improvement can be expected. Combine with internal administration of Xiedu Yin (Toxin-Draining Decoction).
(Treats dry and shriveled smallpox lesions.)
Rehmanniae Radix Recens (Dashengdi), Scrophulariae Radix (Yuanshen), Whole Angelicae Sinensis Radix (Quanguidang) (each 1 liang), Lonicerae Japonicae Flos (Jinyinhua) (8 qian), Raw Licorice Root (Sheng Gancao) (5 qian), Processed Pinellia Tuber (Fazhi Banxia) (3 qian).
Add half a wine cup of Jin Zhi (Golden Juice), and 1 fen of Cinabar (Chensha). Mix and take. Take two doses. Follow the previous steaming method, six times over two days. The smallpox lesions will rise again. If pus formation is insufficient, or if most cases present with excess fire and qi deficiency, subsequently administer Tuoli Yiqi Tang (Supporting Interior and Boosting Qi Decoction).
(Treats insufficient smallpox pus.)
Lonicerae Japonicae Flos (Jinyinhua), Scrophulariae Radix (Yuanshen) (each 2 qian), Phragmitis Rhizoma (Renzhonghuang) (5 qian), Fresh Reed Rhizome (Xian Lugen) (8 qian), Upper Huangbo (Shang Huangbo) (steamed in a rice cooker until cooked, 3 qian).
Bupleuri Radix (Chaihu), Cimicifugae Rhizoma (Shengma)...
Scrophulariae Radix (Yuanshen), Lonicerae Japonicae Flos (Yinhua), Red Peony Root (Chishao), White Poria (Baifuling) (each 2 qian), Angelicae Sinensis Radix (Guishen), Chrysanthemi Flos (Ganju) (each 1.5 qian), Moutan Cortex (Danpi) (8 fen), Rehmanniae Radix Preparata (Shengdi) (5 qian).
Alternate between the upper formula and the rear formula. Administer for more than ten doses to prevent various complications after smallpox.
