（痘疹发病至第七八天，或第十天，或第十七八天。痘色灰暗、塌陷倒伏，抓破后无血流出，空壳无浆液，眼睛睁开处未受损的地方，像焦木灰烬般发红，病情危重，濒临死亡，医生都束手无策的情况。）
老白雄鸡冠血（不限多少，越多越好） 白酒酿（十匙） 胡荽汁（二十匙）将这三味药搅和均匀，隔水加热至温热，慢慢服用。停歇一个时辰后，皮肤变得红活，随即会有新的较大痘疹发出，眼睛重新闭上，面部重新肿胀，痘疹逐渐透出，开始想吃东西。起初给予米汤，随后给予黄米粥饮，不必再服用其他药物。服用一次，若无效再服一次，必定能救活。倘若出现面红气喘，这是痘毒由里达表的表现，不必惊慌恐惧，误认为是变症。
凡是心烦气喘，胡言乱语，看见鬼怪症状的，取未落入水中的猪心血，配合冰片（不限分量，以足够调和为度），制成如芡实大小的丸剂。
用嫩柳叶铺在席子上垫卧，使蛆虫全部爬出而痊愈。
生地黄 天门冬 麦门冬 元参 熟地黄（各三两） 甘草 甜硝（各二两） 青黛（一两五钱）
以上药材研为细末，炼蜜为丸，制成如芡实大小的丸剂。每次服用一丸，用白开水或薄荷汤送服。

Take the above prescription alternately with the previous one.
(When smallpox reaches the seventh or eighth day, or the tenth day, or the seventeenth or eighteenth day. The pustules are grayish, sunken, and collapsed; scratching them yields no blood, leaving empty shells without pus. The areas around the open eyes that remain undamaged appear like scorched wood ash, red in color. The condition is critical, nearing death, and physicians often stand by helplessly.)
Comb of an old white rooster (any amount, more is better) Fermented rice wine (Shi Chi) Juice of Coriander (Er Shi Chi) Mix these three ingredients thoroughly. Heat them gently over boiling water. Take slowly. After a period of one shichen (two hours), if the skin becomes ruddy and vibrant, new, larger pustules will emerge. The eyes will close again, the face will swell again, and the eruption will gradually become apparent. The patient will begin to crave food. Initially provide rice water, followed by millet porridge drink. There is no need to take other medicines. If one dose is ineffective, administer another dose; survival is certain. If facial redness and panting occur, this indicates that the smallpox toxin is moving from the interior to the exterior. Do not be alarmed or mistake it for a complication.
For cases involving mental restlessness, panting, delirious speech, and hallucinations (seeing ghosts), use pig heart blood that has not fallen into water. Combine with Borneol (Bing Pian) (amount as needed to achieve proper consistency). Form pills the size of seeds of Euryale ferox (Qianshi).
Lie on a mat covered with fresh willow leaves. This will draw out maggots, leading to recovery.
(Treats fetal toxins and post-smallpox conditions, such as sores on the head and face, and swelling and pain in the eyes.)
Radix Rehmanniae Preparata (Sheng Di Huang) Herba Asparagi (Tian Men Dong) Herba Ophiopogonis (Mai Men Dong) Radix Scrophulariae (Yuan Shen) Radix Rehmanniae Preparata (Shu Di Huang) (Each San Liang) Radix Glycyrrhizae (Gan Cao) Natrii Sulfas (Tian Xiao) (Each Er Liang) Fritillariae Cirrhosae Bulbus (Qing Dai) (Yi Liang Wu Qian)
Grind all ingredients into fine powder. Bind with refined honey to form pills the size of seeds of Euryale ferox (Qianshi). Take one pill per dose, swallowed with plain warm water or mint tea.
Realgar (Xiong Huang) (Yi Qian) Radix Arnebiae (Zi Cao) (San Qian)
Grind into fine powder. Mix with juice of Kochia scoparia (Yan Zhi). Use the tip of a silver hairpin to pierce black pustules and insert the medicine inside. Extremely effective.
Stab the ear of a black dog to obtain blood. Drip into the eyes. The sores will naturally fall off.
Radix Trichosanthis (Tian Hua Fen) Exuvias Bombyx (She Tui). Wash and dry by baking. Grind into equal parts powder. Slice a sheep liver, insert the powder inside. Cook in rice wash water until done. Slice and eat. Recovery within ten days.
