Commentary states: After a major illness of Cold Damage (Shanghan), if Qi and Blood have not yet recovered, engaging in sexual activity too early will not only cause the patient to relapse due to exertion (Lao Fu), but also lead to transmission and mutation. If a male patient transmits it to a female, the female will suffer from urgent pain in the lower abdomen, weakness preventing her from staying in bed, inability to turn over or move without assistance; if not treated immediately, death will ensue. Alternatively, she may gradually become emaciated and exhausted over months and die.
