Discourse states: Worms are animals. They are all transformed by wind pathogen. When wind pathogen enters the five zang organs, it transforms into five types of worms, thereby forming five types of leprosy (Dafeng). Wind entering the Liver produces green worms; wind entering the Heart produces red worms. Focus on treating the Great Wind Leprosy. The five zang organs generate five worms. These five worms each correspond to the color of their respective zang organ. Among them, black worms are the most difficult to treat. One should first administer medicine to expel the worms and verify their color by observation.

Formula for Agaricus and Opius Powder (Awei Leiwan San): Raw Agaricus (Awei, 1 fen), Raw Opius (Leiwan, 3 fen), Realgar (Xionghuang, half liang), Cinnabar (Dansha, ground), Talcum (Huashi, ground), Chalcanthum (Shidan, ground each...), Mylabris (Mao), Ground Beetle (Yuanqing, 20 each). The above thirteen ingredients are pounded and sieved into a powder. Take one qian bi per dose, mixed with warm wine on an empty stomach. It is beneficial to eat mung bean soup or rice when hungry. Do not overeat; stop at half fullness. One should generally maintain a feeling of hunger. If one eats until full, the expulsion of worms will be delayed. At dusk when the abdomen is empty, take another qian bi. If one feels pain in urination resembling strangury, regardless of time, immediately take another qian bi. Eat when extremely hungry. If one feels the urge to urinate with astringency and pain, urinate into a vessel and observe the discharge. The worms may resemble rotting sinews, corresponding to their respective zang organs; distinguish them by color.

To treat Great Wind Leprosy, extract wind-toxic saliva from the sores to kill various leprosy worms and apply externally. Formula for Realgar Powder (Xionghuang San): Realgar (Xionghuang), Alum (Baijian), Purple Quartz (Zishiy ing), White Quartz (Baishiy ing), Sal Petre (Mayaxiao), Yinjing Stone (Dayin Xuanjingshi), Jinxing Stone, Yinxing Stone (each 1 liang). The above eight ingredients are pounded and ground into fine powder together, placed in a porcelain box, sealed with mud made of white clay and paper fibers, fired until red-hot, covered with wet soil, and taken out the next day. Place on clean wet ground lined with paper, remove fire toxicity three times, sprinkling water on the ground to keep it moist, then grind again. Mix with raw sesame oil and apply to the affected area.

To treat Great Wind Leprosy and kill worms. Formula for Maifan Stone Powder (Maifanshi San): Maifan Stone, Yangqi Stone, Yuyuliang Stone, Red Skin Stone, Leduo Seng, Buhui Wood (each 1 liang), Pollen Typhae (Puhuang, lightly fried), Lime (Shihui...), Mercury (Shuiyin), Calomel (Nifen, 3 qian each). The above fifteen ingredients are ground finely until no mercury particles are visible. Mix with raw sesame oil and apply to the affected area until wind-toxic viscous saliva is discharged. Effect is seen within one month.

To fumigate and expel worms from Great Wind Leprosy. Formula for Prepared Mugwort (Shuai Ai Fang): Prepared Mugwort Leaf (Aiye, rubbed separately until soft), Arsenic Trioxide (Pishuang, ground), Mercury (Shuiyin, ground with Realgar), Calomel (Nifen, ground), Sulfur (Liuhuang, ground), Cinnabar (Dansha, ground), Agaricus (Awei... ground with vinegar until particles disappear... Pod peel ground separately). The above eleven ingredients, except for Mugwort and Soap Pod which are pounded separately into powder, are mixed and ground finely. Use four sheets of paper, first spread Mugwort, then sprinkle Soap Pod powder, then... cover.

To treat Great Wind Leprosy and expel the five worms. Formula for Angelica Pubescens Powder (Duohuo San): Angelica Pubescens (Duohuo, remove rhizome head, 3 fen), Realgar (Xionghuang, ground, half liang), Indigo Naturalis (Qingdai, ground, 1 fen), Ephedra Herb (Mahuang, remove nodes, decoct first, skim foam, dry roast, half liang)... (processed)... Cinnabar (Dansha, ground), Talcum (Huashi, pounded and ground, half liang each), Chalcanthum (Shidan, ground), Bovine Calculus (Niuhuang, ground), Purple Quartz (Zishiy ing, ground, 1 fen each), Mylabris (Bantao, 40 pieces stir-fried with glutinous rice, remove wings and feet...). The above fourteen ingredients are pounded and ground into fine powder. Take one qian bi per dose, mixed with warm wine on an empty stomach. Do not eat until full. Take again in the evening. Worms should be expelled via urine... resembling yellow... difficult to treat.

To treat Great Wind Leprosy and expel leprosy worms. Formula for Black Tiger Pill (Heihu Wan): Human Skull Cap (Tianlinggai, coated with butter, roasted, 3 liang), Toad (Xama, remove internal organs, dry roast, coat with butter, roast again, 1 piece), Moschus (Shexiang, ground, 1 fen), Peach Kernel (Taoren, blanch to remove skin... 2 liang). The above seven ingredients are pounded and ground into powder, blended evenly, and formed into pills with refined honey, size of Sophora japonica seeds. Take 20-30 pills on an empty stomach and at noon, washed down with Vitex Fruit Decoction (Wangyi Tang).

To treat Great Wind Leprosy; if the nasal bridge has not yet collapsed, administration leads to worm expulsion and cure without exception. Formula for Spirit-Passing Powder (Tongshen San): Thorn from Soap Tree (Zaojia Ci, solitary growth, no branches), Rhubarb (Dahuang, chopped). The above two ingredients are used raw in equal proportions, pounded and sieved into fine powder. Take 3 qian bi before sleep, mixed with cold wine. The next morning, have the patient defecate on clean ground. Black-bodied worms with red heads should be observed. Subsequently, administer wind-nourishing and tonifying medicines.
