论曰胎气内动，不能自安，非时而堕，既堕而胞衣不出者，以衣带尚与母气相属。血气
犹固，伤堕之次，复加风冷，气血凝涩，遂致衣不出，治法宜以破血温气之剂。
治妊娠堕胎，胞衣不出。当归汤方

雄黄（研） 香墨（研各一钱） 金薄（三片） 马牙硝（一分研）
上四味研匀，每服一钱匕，以蜜少许，与温汤调服之，未下更服。

生地黄（以铜竹刀切炒半两） 蒲黄（炒） 生姜（切炒各一分）
上三味，以无灰酒三盏，于银器内，同煎至二盏，去滓分温三服，未下更服。

牛膝（酒浸切焙） 冬葵子（炒各半两）
上二味，粗捣筛，每服五钱匕，水一盏半，煎至八分，去滓温服，未下更服。

泽兰叶（切碎） 滑石（末各半两） 生麻油（少许）
上三味，以水三盏，先煎泽兰，至一盏半。去滓入滑石末并油，更煎三沸，顿服之。未
下更服。

蒲黄（炒一合） 槐子（十四枚为末）
上二味，以酒三盏，煎至二盏，去滓分温二服，未下更服。

上取大豆一盏，以酒三盏，煎至一盏半，去豆饮之。

上取鸡子黄一枚，吞之即出。

论述说：胎气在体内扰动，不能自我安宁，非正常时间发生堕胎。堕胎之后胞衣（胎盘）排不出的原因，是因为胞衣仍然与母体的气血相连属。此时血气尚且固结，在堕胎的过程中，又受到风邪和寒气的侵袭，导致气血凝滞涩阻，从而导致胞衣无法排出。治疗法则应当使用具有破血行瘀、温通阳气作用的方剂。

以上五味药，粗捣筛过，每次服用二钱匕，加水一盏半，煎煮至八分满，滤去药渣，温服。若胞衣未下，可再次服用，以胞衣排出为度。
治疗妊娠期间堕胎后，胞衣排不出，并使胞衣腐烂脱落。莽草汤方
药材包括：莽草、滑石、冬葵子（炒制，各三两）、瞿麦穗、牛膝（用酒浸泡后切碎焙干）、当归（切碎炒制，各二两）。
以上六味药，粗捣筛过。每次服用三钱匕，加水一盏半，煎煮至八分满，滤去药渣，温服。若胞衣未下，可再次服用，以胞衣排出为度。

药材包括：阿胶（炙烤至干燥）、冬葵子（炒制）、牛膝（用酒浸泡后切碎焙干）、当归（切碎焙干，各三分）。
以上四味药，粗捣筛过，每次服用三钱匕，加水一盏半，煎煮至八分满。滤去药渣，温服。若胞衣未下，可再次服用，以胞衣排出为度。
治疗妊娠期间堕胎后，胞衣排不下，出现昏闷、气喘急促症状的，应当进行急救。雄黄散方
药材包括：雄黄（研细）、香墨（研细，各一钱）、金箔（三片）、马牙硝（一分，研细）。
以上四味药研匀，每次服用一钱匕，用少许蜂蜜，配合温水调服。若胞衣未下，可继续服用。
治疗妊娠期间堕胎后，胞衣排不出。地黄酒方
药材包括：生地黄（用铜刀或竹刀切碎炒制，半两）、蒲黄（炒制）、生姜（切碎炒制，各一分）。
以上三味药，用无灰酒三盏，在银器内，一同煎煮至两盏，滤去药渣，分三次温服。若胞衣未下，可继续服用。
治疗妊娠期间堕胎后，胞衣排不下。牛膝汤方
药材包括：牛膝（用酒浸泡后切碎焙干）、冬葵子（炒制，各半两）。
以上两味药，粗捣筛过，每次服用五钱匕，加水一盏半，煎煮至八分满，滤去药渣，温服。若胞衣未下，可继续服用。
治疗妊娠期间堕胎后，胞衣排不出。泽兰汤方
药材包括：泽兰叶（切碎）、滑石（研末，各半两）、生麻油（少许）。
以上三味药，用水三盏，先煎煮泽兰，至一盏半时。滤去药渣，加入滑石末和油，再煎煮三沸，一次性服下。若胞衣未下，可继续服用。
治疗妊娠期间堕胎后，胞衣排不出。蒲黄酒方
药材包括：蒲黄（炒制，一合）、槐子（十四枚，研成粉末）。
以上两味药，用酒三盏，煎煮至两盏，滤去药渣，分两次温服。若胞衣未下，可继续服用。
治疗妊娠期间堕胎后，胞衣排不出。另一方
取大豆一盏，用酒三盏，煎煮至一盏半，去掉豆渣饮用。

It is stated that when the fetal qi (vital energy) moves internally and cannot remain stable, abortion occurs out of season. After the abortion, if the placenta (bao yi) fails to be expelled, it is because the placenta remains attached to the maternal qi and blood. The blood and qi are still consolidated; during the process of abortion, exposure to wind and cold pathogens causes the blood and qi to coagulate and become stagnant, thereby preventing the expulsion of the placenta. The treatment principle should involve using decoctions that break blood stasis and warm the qi.
Treatment for abortion in pregnancy with retained placenta. Danggui Tang (Angelica Decoction).
Ingredients: Danggui Radix Angelicae Sinensis (cut and stir-fried), Niuxi Radix Achyranthis Bidentatae (soaked in wine, cut and dried, 1.5 liang each), Mutong Caulis Akebiae (crushed), Huashi Talcum (crushed, 2 liang each), Dongkuizi Fructus Abutilonis (stir-fried, 2 he).
The above six herbs are coarsely crushed and sifted. Each dose consists of three qian bi (approx. 9g), boiled with one and a half zhan (approx. 300ml) of water until reduced to eight-tenths. Strain and take warm. If the placenta is not expelled, administer again. Continue until the placenta is expelled.
Treatment for abortion in pregnancy with retained placenta. Dongkuizi Tang (Abutilon Fruit Decoction).
Ingredients: Dongkuizi Fructus Abutilonis (stir-fried), Niuxi Radix Achyranthis Bidentatae (soaked in wine, cut and dried), Mutong Caulis Akebiae (crushed, 2 liang each), Qumai Herba Dianthi (1 liang), Guizhi Ramulus Cinnamomi (bark removed, 2 liang).
The above five herbs are coarsely crushed and sifted. Each dose consists of two qian bi (approx. 6g), boiled with one and a half zhan of water until reduced to eight-tenths. Strain and take warm. If the placenta is not expelled, administer again. Continue until the placenta is expelled.
Treatment for abortion in pregnancy with retained placenta, aiming to rot and expel the placenta. Mangcao Tang (Metan Herb Decoction).
Ingredients: Mangcao Herba Metani, Huashi Talcum, Dongkuizi Fructus Abutilonis (stir-fried, 3 liang each), Qumai Herba Dianthi, Niuxi Radix Achyranthis Bidentatae (soaked in wine, cut and dried), Danggui Radix Angelicae Sinensis (cut and stir-fried, 2 liang each).
The above six herbs are coarsely crushed and sifted. Each dose consists of three qian bi, boiled with one and a half zhan of water until reduced to eight-tenths. Strain and take warm. If the placenta is not expelled, administer again. Continue until the placenta is expelled.
Treatment for abortion in pregnancy with retained placenta. Ejiao Tang (Donkey-hide Gelatin Decoction).
Ingredients: Ejiao Colla Corii Asini (roasted until dry), Dongkuizi Fructus Abutilonis (stir-fried), Niuxi Radix Achyranthis Bidentatae (soaked in wine, cut and dried), Danggui Radix Angelicae Sinensis (cut and dried, 3 fen each).
The above four herbs are coarsely crushed and sifted. Each dose consists of three qian bi, boiled with one and a half zhan of water until reduced to eight-tenths. Strain and take warm. If the placenta is not expelled, administer again. Continue until the placenta is expelled.
For abortion in pregnancy where the placenta is retained, accompanied by fainting, oppression, and rapid breathing, emergency rescue is required. Xionghuang San (Realgar Powder).
Ingredients: Xionghuang Realgar (ground), Xiangmo Ink Stick (ground, 1 qian each), Jinbo Gold Leaf (3 pieces), Mayaxiao Natrii Sulfas (1 fen, ground).
The above four ingredients are ground uniformly. Each dose consists of one qian bi, mixed with a small amount of honey and warm water for administration. If the placenta is not expelled, administer again.
Treatment for abortion in pregnancy with retained placenta. Dihuang Jiu (Rehmannia Wine).
Ingredients: Shengdihuang Radix Rehmanniae Recens (cut with copper or bamboo knife and stir-fried, 0.5 liang), Puhuang Pollen Typhae (stir-fried), Shengjiang Rhizoma Zingiberis Recens (cut and stir-fried, 1 fen each).
The above three ingredients are boiled in three zhan of unadulterated wine in a silver vessel until reduced to two zhan. Strain and divide into three warm doses. If the placenta is not expelled, administer again.
Treatment for abortion in pregnancy with retained placenta. Niuxi Tang (Achyranthes Decoction).
Ingredients: Niuxi Radix Achyranthis Bidentatae (soaked in wine, cut and dried), Dongkuizi Fructus Abutilonis (stir-fried, 0.5 liang each).
The above two herbs are coarsely crushed and sifted. Each dose consists of five qian bi (approx. 15g), boiled with one and a half zhan of water until reduced to eight-tenths. Strain and take warm. If the placenta is not expelled, administer again.
Treatment for abortion in pregnancy with retained placenta. Zelan Tang (Lycopus Herb Decoction).
Ingredients: Zelan Ye Folium Lycopi (chopped), Huashi Talcum (powdered, 0.5 liang each), Shengmayou Sesame Oil (a little).
The above three ingredients are boiled in three zhan of water. First, boil Zelan Ye until reduced to one and a half zhan. Strain, then add Huashi powder and oil, and boil for three more boils. Take in one dose. If the placenta is not expelled, administer again.
Treatment for abortion in pregnancy with retained placenta. Puhuang Jiu (Typha Pollen Wine).
Ingredients: Puhuang Pollen Typhae (stir-fried, 1 he), Huaizi Semen Gleditsiae Sinensis (14 seeds, powdered).
The above two ingredients are boiled in three zhan of wine until reduced to two zhan. Strain and divide into two warm doses. If the placenta is not expelled, administer again.
Another prescription for abortion in pregnancy with retained placenta.
Take one zhan of soybeans, boil in three zhan of wine until reduced to one and a half zhan. Remove the beans and drink the liquid.

Swallow one egg yolk; the placenta will be expelled immediately.

Take a date-sized piece of Puhuang Pollen Typhae, dissolve in warm wine, and take orally.

Take one he of Shengdihuang Radix Rehmanniae Recens juice and one zhan of Kujiu (vinegar). Boil for three to five boils and take in one dose. The placenta will be expelled immediately.
