Commentary states: The Heart stores the Shen (Spirit) and dislikes heat. Children's physiological constitution tends to be hot. If exposed to wind pathogenic factors, wind-heat clashes within the zang-fu organs, causing qi stagnation and oppression, which invades the Heart internally, leading to restlessness of the child's spirit and mind, thus manifesting as Jing (Fright). If the Jing is severe and unceasing, it results in Palpitations and restlessness, which constitutes the disease of Jing-Ji (Fright-Palpitation).
To treat pediatric Fright-Palpitation with uneasiness. Zijin San (Purple Gold Powder) Formula
